The way Apa joined the league could have been a career ender before he even had one. Imagine joining a team that's barely making playoffs, not understanding a sentence said on each game and getting shit on publicly by his seniors. Good to see that his resilience and hard work is paying off domestically and I wish him the best internationally.
This is still such a wild exaggeration. Noone on his team was "shitting on him". Pyosik literally harmlessly said "oh my mid laner.. he has a limited champ pool, so we had to play around that fact. And people acting like he was getting massively trash talked by his teammates like 😂😂
Yoo nice, if apa is reading this I just want to let you know that you quickly grew up to be my favorite player, I hope you do well at worlds and I appreciate your dedication for the game and personality
APA quickly became my favourite LCS player, dude's been blowing up this year (minus the odd int here or there) he's been one of the best examples of player improvement in recent years it's so refreshing
Everybody has int moments lol Can’t go based off of that. But he is very smart and views the game in such a great way. He’s the perfect addition to the LCS. Hopefully the rest of LCS learns from him!
I will say, I was a huge APA hater, but the improvement he's made individually such a short time is impressive and should be praised. For a long time, it felt like most NA prospects came in at a certain level and never improved or evolved. I'm now an APA enjoyer. He's proved everyone wrong.
same, i was a TL fan who hated APA and wanted him gone, it's actually crazy how much he's improved. honestly pretty inspirational, if someone as bad as he was can become one of the best through sheer hard work.
Completely true. I've always bought into "new NA prospect" hype and have been let down countless times. The bar stayed the same for such a long time, I didn't believe in APA, and I was proven wrong in the best of ways. He raised the bar, and I hope they perform this world championship.
It's amazing how much of a cheat code corejj and impact are. They should be getting double salary as players and as coaches. I don't think I've ever heard a single player say anything other than "these guys helped me improve my game"
These kinds of interviews are great to me. Dom and Yamato don't do interrupt and just let APA talk. Sometimes I know in podcasts the person being interviewed doesn't say enough or have good enough things to say so hosts need to speak up more. Here you can see the hosts letting APA fully talk, they engage and ask questions and go silent again. It's wonderful
This was my favorite episode of this new series, by far. Amazing interview and insight from APA. I liked that the conversation flowed more naturally between all three of them, too.
I've been following pro league pretty seriously for about 11 years now. I've watched most games of every season of LCS during that time. No player has ever made me as excited or proud to be from NA as apa is. I remember following him in solo queue when he was an asol/fizz otp playing on alwaysplanahea and now he's playing at an MVP level in LCS. It's so cool to see a home grown talent be such a fun and interesting and good player, and one of the defining players of the current generation of north american pro league of legends.
Umti macro's till minute 15, then hands it off to CoreJJ. Impact, Spawn, and Reignover chew you out in review while APA and Yeon carry. It's a smooth system, which is something that's unfortunately rare in the LCS and LEC.
Summit and co were mentally ill for that stuff after Worlds.. your team was not even making PLAYOFFS before APA joined.. obviously he was a bit limited at first but he still helped change your team into a legit contender and go to Worlds
Imagine you're an Academy player. Randomly called up to LCS halfway into the season. Team only speaks in Korean and constantly flames you. You never get to talk to the team during stage games. You don't get to participate in VOD reviews. Team probably isn't even bonding with you outside of the games. Nahhh YAPA is just the GOAT wtf
I love the concept of protesting a play. I've seen it so much but never had a way to articulate it. APA is already such an awesome personality and I'm glad to be a liquid fan right now. Good luck in playoffs and worlds go kick some ass Yappa
Good for APA for overcoming flaming people. He's doing great things, and I for one am excited to watch his career. When I first saw him slam ziggs, I was like "oh yeah, let's go my dude! " I've noticed that a lot of pro's peak when they mature, and if they can mature while they still have hands is what makes a capital "G" Great player. Great episode Dom and Yamato. I look forward to Dom's player POV perspective paired with Yamato's 3rd person, management/psychologically sound POV's are just the most insightful.
Yo, YAPPA, you are an absolute diamond 💎 in the rough of NA!!! 😁 Thank you for your hard work and for helping carry TL (my favorite team) to glory once more, after such a long drought... It means a lot to me and I hope you stay with the org for a long time. I've loved watching you grow and improve so far and I cannot WAIT to see how far you'll go!! GLHF💙🙏🏻💯 LET'S GO LIQUID!!!!!!!
APA has a brain. I feel like he's thinking like I wanted Jojo to thinking going into the year. He still has ego, but he knows he need to work hard to play at the level his ego is. I think everyone can improve and even if your the best at something you still can do more. He clearly has a good work ethic an always look to squeeze more and learn new concept and see how he can apply them. Loved the podcast and I hope he can continue to improve as he did all the year.
cool ep! I like APA joining in using 'dry' as an adjective haha. Btw it would be nice if the full screen cams still have some small cams for the other 2 so we dont miss out on any of their reactions. But otherwise another great ep!
An NA player that actually cares to practice and improve reaches the top of a region where 90 percent of pros are just there for a check. Shocking. One of my favorite players for sure if only the rest of the region had the same mindset.
the way APA approaches improving his game is somehting a lot of native NA pros just...dont do at all. and its interesting to hear that while he's still got his toxic ego and is VERY stubborn, is still humble enough to swallow it and listen to his teams calls to see how it goes. thats super rare, and along with his litany of veteran insight from core/impact, really allows him to improve in ways most people in lcs can.
Having a native mid who not only has an entertaining personality, but playstyle is so good for LCS. Just need him to not pull a Palafox so he can continue to stay relevant and continue to breathe life into this region.
Yamato Jizuke said the only person that could lane and was above everyone was Froggen. The reasons why Bjrg and Jensen were running the region was 1 because they were good. Will never say they weren’t but also bc they had the top players in each role on their team. When Jensen now or Bjrg in his last years got lanes lower than 3rd in their position, their games never looked the same. Froggen always has people lower than top 3 and was still a monster in lane and in team fights. It just gets overshadowed by Bjrg and Jensen because they had overall better teams.
Apa and TL's rise this year, I think have legitimately saved the LCS. Just having a team I feel that could possibly be a legit top 8 team at worlds. Like it was cool NRG made it last year but they were frauds.
As a long time lfn watcher one thing that this show brings back is the players, it felt like we were in a drought for a few years of mainly analyst guests , outside of thorins reflections . They might not all be great personalities but they’re such an important bridge that brings new and exciting stories. Hopefully lfn profits from this and values keeping them involved ! Especially as dom and Yamato move away from lec I hope there’s still away to continue the show with eu guests being half the English speaking options! Now if only there was a way to tap into interviewing lpl and lck 😭😭 I’d literally subs on sit a whole podcast in a different language if the quality and involvement was as good as this!
I think its pretty well known that Humanoid has of the biggest ego's in LEC ,not surprising that he assumes the enemy will not kill him in specific spots in lane .
IMF prediction for the UK 2024 is 0.5%. Yet the UK has already growth 1.1% in the first 6 month, how can they get these prediction consistently incorrect for the UK by a large margin, constantly.
@@nilsarnerlof9633 I love APA but his first stint in LCS wasn't great so no, he didn't already prove himself. OP's comment was actually in favor of APA that TL didn't give him a chance even if APA is better than Haeri because they wanted a Korean speaking roster.

Apa has a great personality, he seems to have matured a lot! Great interview from Domato!
You could obviously tell Spawn is doing somethin right by the results but it was so cool to hear the details of what makes him so good
