What an awesome episode. I love how Emily shows just how well she can use and handle trucks. Naughty Arry for playing a truck on her. But nice to see Emily can be a real Mix Traffic Engine after all. This is one of my favourite episodes ever 😀😀😀.
That was a lovely story! I never knew her basis weren’t capable of goods work and seeing the trucks respect Emily was very well deserved! I give this a 10/10
It's a problem with all singles, really. Because they've only got the one pair of driving wheels, they can't get that power down to the rails as easily as engines like Gordon or Murdoch. Either way, it makes a change seeing these kinds of issues addressed properly - the TV series never even seemed to acknowledge that little drawback, from what I've seen.
Really enjoyed this. Like that the concept that the trucks can control when they brake was used. Also the fact that Emily wasn't designed to haul freight hence her big driving wheels.
Like the old saying goes, treat others like the way you want to be treated. And go figure that the trucks actually helped her regain control of the train to help prevent a runaway

Great story. Loved the nod to Oliver's Army by Elvis Costello.
3:38 - 3:40
She winked! 😀
That servse Arry right. And as long trucks are treated kindly, they'll be kind back.
This could also relate to real life as the Slerling class weren't build to handle goods work and only have a single axel making them one-dimensional
