I'M SO HAPPY I DISCOVERED THESE!! I was about to breakdown in stress over trying to figure out how to make a custom LED helmet for one of my dream cosplays. So many ways i found just didn't work for one reason or another, but i think i can make these work!! Super excited to use these!!!
I’ve always had this idea many years ago as a dream of mine and now i see you making it happen and possible for me too, thank you and the great people behind this amazing product i truly believe that this is gonna be the world style in the future and I can’t wait to start my own smart clothing line. This whole style is just so beautiful and futuristic it’s just a shame that it’s not the main style of fashion in our world this time yet but yeah can’t wait to see it happen in the future or create the road to it along with such creative people like you.
Is there an API I could use to control the matrix automatically from an app on the phone? I'd love it if I could build an app to send designs right to it based on things like your phone's GPS location, email or text notifications, etc.
I think the app just sending the serial data to that led, as u can see there are a microcontroller in that led. You can see the neopixel led tutorial to do that
For the small one that goes around the models neck, it would be very nice if you had a sleeve that it fit in that on the ends had some sort of adjustable fastening device so that it could be worn and snapped into place depending on a few neck sizes. And now I see this is 2 years old, haha, let me pop over to your site.
This is so cool! I'm so glad I found your channel! I recently bought two different face masks from you. I'd be interested in something like how the tattoo shirts are but with led.
Not currently: you can send the same image to multiple panels at once, but they can't be directly linked together. Looking into this for future though!
Hello Lumen Couture. I was wondering if I have to use the app mentioned in the video to use these strips or if I could program/animate the LED display on my own?
@@urbansvigelj7489 Check Aliexpress. I found the exact led panel, maybe she is dropshipping. It costs 14€ (the smaller one) or 29€ the big one + 4-5€ shipping
I was wondering if you can make the design of the led the same but add a different add on. Like to add a clear or translucent base instead of black. Im working on a project that needs led lights to see through out of but I don't want to work a lot on making the led
probably not, since is LED and has wires between each light emitter... but you don't need to cut it, just buy a exact fit for your mask, a 4inch display should do it. but will be the most expensive face mask you will ever see... that 4 inch display alone is 50-150$ depending on bulk orders you do... not to mention the arduino etc u will use.
Cool stuff but its nothing new. These thin panels have been out for years starting with t shirts, hats and masks paired with sound sensors to animate the leds and techy ravers would do full on led display outfits. However back in the day people would have to use a pc for images and texts then would have to upload it to the display so it cool the phone controller apps.

Did you made your helmet. Please share with me I want to make one too.

Thanks so much for your kind words!
Lumen Couture
It is totally my pleasure 😊♥️✨
these are FANTASTIC!! Love'em!!
I've been needing a thin led array for a helmet design, thank you so much for sharing this. Just bought a couple
Awesome channel idea and I’m sure this tech will continue to mature into really interesting and useful stuff! I definitely be watching. 👍
thanks so much :)
is there a see-through version of this?

I suppose these are ws2812b leds. You can control those fairly easily with a microcontroller such as an arduino and the fastled library.

Very cool, subscribed. I'm researching for my next halloween costume.

You are Awesome!
Is there a way to connect 2 of the small matrix strips together so they show the same thing
Currently they are not chainable, but you can send the same signal to a batch and have them display the same pattern.
Do you know if the API is open source? Is there an SDK?
any chance you will make a new model with brighter leds?
hi there there this is cool can you connect these together ? and also switch them vertical animation ?

Nice
What is the actual width measurement?
What is the voltage to use this?
That would be great for a basic GUI screen for my RPI 3
Hello! Where i can buy one ????
Love them ! I really want to buy some ! Is it available in Europe (France) ?
I second this question (Sweden)
You can ask that to the CEO, just send an email the address is on the bottom of the website
Yes btw, but shipping is paid outside of the US
I would really like to buy one, but shiping for a piece is over a 100$...

Can you program 2 or 3 of them to layer them on a mask or project?
Its the same power use for the small one too right?
hi how do i see through
What is the name of app. Android or Apple?
which app is this?
I'm thinking of using LED matrix for my graduation Cap
Price of the product
Can they be linked to make larger panel
Where can I get a big one
I want to make a long belt out of it. How would I do I get custom?
Or could I wire them together?
You could add multiple panels in a single belt!

Are these panels sewable or is fabric adhesive used?
Where can I buy such a led display please tell me
I wanna be the one to bring (or just to popularize) the Paper Thin Flex LED to my country
Will this panel work in india, I mean panel with app ?
What app do you need for the matrix?
Where can I order?
App name for iOS? Thanks
Hi, I have a cool idea in mind. Is there a way to make larger panels 3x longer from manufacturer?
It would take a minimum of at least a few thousand to do that - but if you're interested feel free to reach out!
Can this be designed from my phone to give as a gift. Once I give as a gift how will it work on the receivers phone?
Great work! :-)
What’s the app called
Are these "linkable" iow, can I combine 4 and create 1 big sheet? eg, have 1 Pic display over 4 panels to look like one big pic.
currently no, but working on future iterations w the manufacturer!
I want one so bad
Quiero comprar pero como puedo hacerlo soy de México
are they at all stretchy?
They do not stretch - just bend.
Who much the feel project total cost
@Lumen I cannot turn it on, any help? thank you
Please reach out at support @ lumencouture.com and we can help you troubleshoot or a replacement if needed!
Anyone know where to get these in Europe?
What if I cut it so that way I can put it in a mask I'm making, would it still turn on ?
probably not, since is LED and has wires between each light emitter... but you don't need to cut it, just buy a exact fit for your mask, a 4inch display should do it. but will be the most expensive face mask you will ever see... that 4 inch display alone is 50-150$ depending on bulk orders you do... not to mention the arduino etc u will use.
@@GeorgeZaharia That's correct: these will not work if you cut them!
@@LumenCouture hey its been a while but hopefully you can respond to this, will they break if I hot glue them to something?
do the panels have microphones so it can respond to sound?
the panel itself does not have aa mic, but the phone app does :)
Hi I just received my mask. What app am I supposed to use to control the LEDs?
Hi Tim, you can find info here! www.lumencouture.com/guide/matrix-collection-owners-guide/
Whats the app?
It's called "COOLLED"
Hi where i buy?
wearabletutorials.com :)
Can these be controlled by a raspberry pi?
Unfortunately these are not compatible with other controllers.
Bruh, this is perfect now i can make that Cyberpunk 2077 jacket with a glowing Oni Head into reality, if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg tho...
they look good but they need to have more leds and higher quality which will only come with time

Can I get some
Could not find LED on Amazon. Please share how to get this LED. Great design!!
Ruiner cosplay incoming
you showed a baseball cap with a small led matrix-please tell me about the price please.
How's the app for this? Buggy?
it isn't the most beautiful app, but it performs pretty consistently.
@@LumenCouture Yeah umm, that is not a secure site. Anywhere less sketchy?
