@@mangoking2722 it means devs add a “line of sight check” to abilities (in Dante’s case, his 4/nuke). Some abilities, like equinox nuke, can hit enemies without being able to see them/through walls. That means there is NO LOS check

It is a card that can basically win when played, but has weaknesses and yet still got banned.

Arguably Dark Divine Nezha as well as he was hard nuked and then partially reverted for FAR less than this, albeit more than Dante. It does continue the theme of most broken nuke/ability is not the one that releases with the main update from Dante Unbound though lol. Once again it's an agument that clearly wasn't min-max tested 😂
I'm hopeful that there's room to nerf this augment into something reasonable and still make it worth using. I mean there's gotta be something between "not worth the standing" and "pre-nerf dante"
If the 150% range on the augment becomes unmodable, that might balance it out. Or allow the scaling to stay, just halved, so 400% is out of the question
As someone who's been running this augment on a dual augment Voruna build with only 145% range, I will say it has other use cases too. The damage vulnerability from shroud marking a target is really good for getting Ulfrun's Descent combo building started in higher end missions where it needs just that little bit of help to get the first kill.
It seems to trigger when enemies die from the status effects it spreads, creating a feedback loop. Limiting it to enemies that Voruna attacked directly should do the trick and be a reminder of the danger of things that can trigger themselves.
The reddit sentiment from what I've seen so far is unironically that koumei is crazy powerful and voruna's augment sucks because you have to search for the marked enemy. Lmfao

DE is _generally_ smart enough not to nerf an ability when an augment they just added is the actual problem child, LoS checks on Fangs would be a downgrade to Voruna not using the augment for no reason.
When this gets nerfed, probably just lock the range increase to whats displayed on the card. That should be enough to keep it under control. Otherwise changing the range increse to a flat X meter increase that scales might work as well. Like +3 meters or something

I like how this augment is similar levels of rng as Koumei between the mark a random enemy and the random status effects that Voruna’s 2 applies, and this by itself is leagues more powerful and self sustainable than the new rng frame

Let's be real here. This is well beyond "pretty competent" and sits squarely in the realm of "beyond broken." As much as I love Voruna, I would absolutely hate to play alongside someone who is running this build in its current form. You would basically have nothing to kill because every enemy just dies of turbo cancer before you even see them.

I don't have Cunning Drift in, non-max Prime Flow and Equilibrium, and Dreaming Bond as an aura - 74 energy used. Slightly worse range and energy economy than Zime, but otherwise identical.
Hey. Hildryn has become quite excellent with the new changes + her new augment you might want to try. I've got 170+ kpm in a conjunction survival right now without a Helminth and any archon shard, just starting the mission with her 4 then spam alt fire. She's much more than a shield bot now !

Voruna has two strong builds as is. This is broken, and Ill build it if its not fixed by tomorrow when I'm back home lol But itll be for a mat farm somewhere, thats it. I enjoy warframe's gameplay, and building/theorycraft, so I want to actually play.
I like the Yugioh thing of having short hands for effect, by their most popular representative, like circular, rota, Garnet or stratos. Im really struggling to come up examples for Warframe. We could call this type of augment Intrepid Stand or something as a shorthand.
It was nice knowing this build existed, though the question is if it will outlast Concord. As for the Twitch chat, i do like seeing it in the survival video as it makes it feel more interactive
I'll have to check to be sure, but I think I can make that build happen with very little effort, since I actually like Voruna and play her on a regular EDIT: after checking I do have more than enough formas(9 to be exact) on my Voruna to make it work, even with some polarities miss-matching

Honestly after playing this build in a bunch of pub survivals, I don't see a reason for this to be nerfed. Yeah I was getting about 50-60% of the kills most of the time, but thats only slightly above average for me when im playing other "kill everything ever" builds. Hell I had a few slam Wukongs show up and they were still out killing my Voruna.
So a LoS nerf to this would 100% break this build and make it worthless. When they nerf it i hope they just nerf the range down to like divine spear nezha range or something without adding a LoS check

And unless I missed some big changes with her, Saryn after initiall setup has a few surviving eximus on the map, goes into new room, presses 1 on the closest guy, taps him with buffed weapon(which in my experience looks faster than what Brozime is doing in the video every time he wants to spread, but for the sake of the argument lets assume that it's about the same duration between them) and she has succesfully spread it. And assuming that you didn't try to max power for some... interesting reason - those spores are easily covering "every adjecent room" as well. Sooo... I kinda fail to firmly grasp - why would DE do something about it?.. Yes, being Saryn is good. But like. She is already in the game, doing the same(for my eyes either way) thing. What's so criminal about Voruna having simular option?...
People have been hitting damage cap nukes with this, with little to no ramp up time. Mostly because DE didn't test it's interactions with abilities like blood altar. A little different from saryn which takes up part of the mission to get spores to this level. Yes, saryn might be more sustainable and easier for longer missions, but for shorter missions, this just denies others from playing.
Dante was banished to the LoS Realm for far less.

I hate it when builds like this get nerfed because it's on par or less than the average good saryn build, but saryn has been repeatedly buffed for years instead of getting nerfed
Saryn has literally gotten reworks multiple times to decrease her power level, it's just that it's impossible to make her basic concept weak without basically turning her into pre-rework wukong.

Even if it gets nerf'd Voruna players could already do this without the mod. Its just easier now
I can't wait for DE to nerf one of my favorite frames because they gave her an augment broken enough to draw attention to her instead of *fixing said augment.*

Given the fact Saryn has to ramp up her damage and can't use a single ability to nuke the room and every adjacent room is a pretty massive difference
This ain’t Saryn at home this Saryn on steroids , Saryn needs to stack like 20k spore to do this, which takes a while without any decaying.

But I don't think you are trying to say that Saryn is Bad, that would be rather bold. Soooo I think your main point is the ramp up time not feeling smooth? idk, I guess it's personall preference then, I mostly run SP, so it is by no means hard to stack usually. Also stacking dmg does activate my neurons in a plesant matter, unlike the numbers shown by this Voruna... But thank you very much for trying to get your point across :)

@@zwadveg918 Well, I belive that this build implies to spam 2 on the same enemy quite a number of times, so I wouldn't call it "single ability", and it takes quite a few moments every time we have to kill new batch of enemies. And unless I missed some big changes with her, Saryn after initiall setup has a few surviving eximus on the map, goes into new room, presses 1 on the closest guy, taps him with buffed weapon(which in my experience looks faster than what Brozime is doing in the video every time he wants to spread, but for the sake of the argument lets assume that it's about the same duration between them) and she has succesfully spread it. And assuming that you didn't try to max power for some... interesting reason - those spores are easily covering "every adjecent room" as well.

Yes, being Saryn is good. But like. She is already in the game, doing the same(for my eyes either way) thing. What's so criminal about Voruna having simular option?...
People have been hitting damage cap nukes with this, with little to no ramp up time. Mostly because DE didn't test it's interactions with abilities like blood altar. A little different from saryn which takes up part of the mission to get spores to this level. Yes, saryn might be more sustainable and easier for longer missions, but for shorter missions, this just denies others from playing.

Wonder if it procs on bosses to make them vulnerable to dmg.
This will synergize well with mecha empowered dmg vulnerability.
