your tone videos using the cr120 helped me decide on one myself. i was using an orange dark terror, but this video, your mastodon one, the red fang one, and the all them witches one, really sold me on the cr120 tone. 🤘
I run a cr120 and a sovtek mig 100. Stupid wall of sound with the two amps side by side. The cr120 handles amazingly for a solid state amp it’s kinda mind blowing the tones that can be had from it.
I think that this series is done. I started just because I wanted to show the true potential of a solid state amp since people were always like "oh I gotta have tubes!". I'll be back in November with something different about these amplifiers, but I really think there will not be any crushing-tones vids. Cheers!
@@tonemorphdan would you consider getting a Gojira sound? I know it's a little out of the genre of your other videos. But i honestly haven't heard the Crush sound this good and was wondering what it's capable of. It's a shame I'm hours away from a guitar center haha
@@trentonmooneyham1231 Well, I'm not so much into that genres actually. But for that type of sound I will use a peavey without any doubt. Sharp and hi gain. 6505 to me is a great go-to for those tones. On the other side, I think I should do also an hi gain demo of this amp. But I'm not planning that at the moment, I have other things to do before that. But hey! Who knows in the future ;-) Thank you again! Cheers

Oh yes. I even tried with a dual rectifier. It was handling the volume without any problem

How did you put the mic to get it sound like that? On corner?
I always put the mic at the edge of the center. Also, I put it few cm back to have a bit of fat since I'm using only one microphone.
