If you were to pick one scarps boot, that would be a great all-rounder What would you recommend? To be honest, I’m not worried about support. I’m more worried about comfort, longevity and something that will grip uphill and downhill well a good long distance boot 27 + km days on average through the mountains So lightweight is bonus ASO, if I may, something that will keep me dry and not hold water Thank you 🙏
I love my Zodiac Plus GTX, I've had them for a few years. But to me, they are a general multi-purpose hiking boot. They are built really well, breathable and they have keep my feet dry. I've been very impressed by them. I would buy another pair without hesitation. That being said, I was tempted to buy another pair because i liked them so much. But I really wanted to try another boot from Scarpa just to see what some other models were like. So I purchased the Kailash Trek GTX and the Mescalito TRK GTX. I was more impressed with the Mescalito. So I kept them, and sent the Kailash Trek GTX back. I have not had them for a long time, but so far I love them. They have been great. So I would recommend the Mescalito TRK GTX, even though I don't have a long term experience with them. I am confident that they will be great long term. The tread on the bottom is really nice too, I think they are the best option on mixed surfaces. Rock, dirt, snow, mud. If you have not seen my video about the Mescalito's, check it out. I hope this helps, but it's just my opinion.
