- Take a ride on the Odyssey at Fantasy Island in our hyper-smooth 4K on-ride POV. The Odyssey is one of the UK's tallest roller coasters at 167ft tall, it has a top speed of 62mph and features 5 inversions.

i can confirm, it always rides this smooth now, very impressed! not sure why its changed but it has, rode it 6 times this year and they've all been solid rides.

Pleasure Beach Experience that’s what I heard but either way it’s a solid SLC now, if not maybe the smoothest and it’s layout is just amazing! Can wait to get back there to ride again after this pandemic chills out!
It doesn’t ride smooth it bangs your head about I was their yesterday
@@macaulaykemp2332 You need to try any of the other SLCs. Trust me, you'll realise this is smooth in comparison!
@@8DZoneMusic try kumali and you'll realise just how rough Odyssey is. Rode Odyssey yesterday and it was awful. Smashed your head around the majority of the second half.

I went on it yesterday and yes it did bang my head around. I kept hitting the restraint padding. Got off with a headache. Millenium was much better.
For years, I've always admired how the 2 coasters are intertwined

I rode this one morning on it’s first run of the day. There was just me and some stag party who were pissed up, they were trying to ride the test run that morning. It was a great rollercoaster.
Such a classic UK coaster
Went on twice today, the drop is amazing! The rest is decent but it’s a bit too rough to be enjoyed properly. I personally prefer millennium as it’s overall much more fun

They should really order the new trains and replace them, then it wouldn't be "smooth" but it'd probably be in the safe zone to be re-rideable (same day or next visit). I wish one of these SLC types was built in the USA, everyone rushed on the basic model and except for like 2 1/2 (Nor Easter, Riddler's Revenge, T3-meh idk with that one) the rest are basically garbage despite the nice length.
@@oneandonlysound3453 new trains would do it good, but the profiling is definitely part of the problem. Yeah it’s miles better than the default SLCs but it’s got nothing on B&M inverts or anything like that

I didn’t it proper jerked my neck but I’m only 13 and a bit wimpy with rides because tbh I was forced to go on it because of my sister so I think I just got overwhelmed 😂

I went on the Odyssey and millennium when I went to fantasy Island. It was so fun well everyone else is screaming, I was chuckling away and when me and my sister Mia kept going on at once we sat at the front of it. I did not like saying that front. It was scary, but I loved it.
MY FAVORITE RIDE THERE!! It was at the end of the day and I was kn nonstop and everyone had a wristband so we went on 17 times lol I'm the fav costumer now

Great ride a bit scary but this drop is insane to me. Felt like passing out but it is just me
I remember this ride when it was sponsored by KitKat. I visited Fantasy Island loads as a kid, but I could never bloody ride this due to high winds. It looks awesome though.

Went on it today, was a lot rouger than it used to be but still a great ride
fabulous rollercoaster never lets up been on a bout ten times. very high the lift going up no floor under neath you, scared of hights dont trie

Unlikely to be honest, have you been on an SLC with the new trains? I didn't find them to improve the experience.
@@yourexperienceguide Nah but those restraints on the oldest are god awful like the ones on most SLC's in the US. On RCDB it looks like this has a in-between train model so it looks like it has some pretty decent restraints.

Rode this yesterday for the first time since it was changed from the kitkat and god. Absolutely ace rollercoaster but not great with ear piercings haha, the amout I banged my head and all my piercings bled after, but I still went on it again.

Went on a couple days ago mint but that first drop trys to rip your face off
I remember when I went on it for the first time with my mom. We had a 2-day wristband so the next day I went on with my older sister. One of my other sisters passed out on it when she went on it and that was about 2 years ago lol. It's surprising how I still had the guts to get on it

I went here last month & it was closed on my visit, because a special part had to be ordered from Italy & shipped over to Europe 😫

Let me tell you, if you go on melenium you would want to ride it all the time, the drop might give you a feeling but the more you ride it, eventually it will go away

Im going today
Went on this 2 times in a row on Friday! For the first time! I’m more a millennium girl and never had the guts for this since it opened in ‘02! My god it’s awful! No idea why I did it a second time! Clearly it messed my head up as I then did 2 rides on the volcano, followed by 4 rides on the millennium, 1 on the techno jump & 2 on the rhombus rocket. This was after feeling sick all night. 😵💫😵💫😵💫

It was rough, battered and rusty in 2012, can't believe nearly 10 years later it actually looks newer
The park has had new owners since 2016 and it is in great hands now :)

Absolutely deadly and turns your brain to mush with all the headbanging
Doesn't help the staff has practically no safety letting kids half the required height on but i would probably still ride again given the chance
I have worked with this park to create promo videos and spent at least two hours filming Odyssey, nobody under the height limit went on it.

First time visiting, near closing time and a boy more than 30cm below the required height went on and when he sat down in his seat his head didnt even reach the shoulder rests
I did feel worried for his safety on the ride and luckily when we pulled back into the station he was still in his seat
Im glad that this was the experience that you had but this incident has made me at least wary of their saftey
dandyrion its smoother then most SLC's Kong at California's Great America was the roughest

@@yourexperienceguide OK just that there is no pov or pretty much all the rides at the park but didn't you do a pov for the beast in the dark if I ever get a gopro I will to do some on ride povs of the rides in the dark.

Yes it gave me a headache too. My head kept moving left to right hitting the padding. I did try to keep my head back but it was difficult.

Rode this 8 years ago and said I would never bother again as it was awful. Rode it yesterday as my young lad is now tall enough and wanted to go. Never again. What an absolute pile of crap. First half is ok but the second half just bounces side to side and and shuffles along, smashing your head around. Horrible ride experience. Not even particularly thrilling or forceful. Give me millennium any day.

Pleasure Beach Experience Fair enough, I’ve not been to the park so don’t know it’s scale.
Toast Ghost it’s more of a park that loves to thrill instead of theme, they’ve got two amazing Vekoma coasters, Millenuim is an MK-1200 and it’s the smoothest thing I’ve seen from an older vekoma! And Oddessy is just mad it’s insane!
Awful, awful ride. Worst SLC in the country IMO. In fact it's my least favourite coaster period.
I don't know if I caught it on a bad day, but I found it unbearably rough, genuinely gave me a headache.
CrashCoaster this makes condor at wallabi Holland look good! But I’ve solid rides on it recently! Maybe you just got it on a bad day! They have changed the company that supply there wheels now so it’s a lot better!
Crashcoaster you have not ridin Infusion then this at least does not bang your ear
