Those gas-guzzling automobiles crowding those city streets have been the cause of untold millions of lives lost, personal injuries, air and noise pollution and property damaged, but where’s the outcry for all the tragedies brought to humanity by cars & trucks?
Exactly 💯 bingo
Car catches on fire or hits something insurance can help.... These people don't even have licenses let alone insurance to cover your hospital stay
Millions? LoL Being a little dramatic there guy. Might want to do some actual research on those numbers.
@@gravityslave6277 definitely millions my guy. Think about span range, ex. 50 years, etc. there are thousands of accidents daily.
@@carlcarlssen4299
Uh huh...care to leave a link to your "source"? Because I actually checked the statistics in vehicular related deaths in NYC and they don't support your claim *at all* . (Can't post actual link but it's on "NYC dot gov").
The last five years the vehicular related deaths averaged 235 per year since 2019. The further you go back the numbers drop. Lower population, less drivers on the road. Go back far enough, less drivers because driving was a luxury for the wealthy few. (Common sense)
So let's say...and I'll be generous to your claim...I'll give you 250 people a year for the last 50 years. That's only 12,500 guy. You say Millions huh? LoL buddy, you are wayyy off. So from 1-10....how dumb do you feel right now? I'm gonna say an 8.
This was exactly my greatest fear. This chaos will ruin micro transport. And it’s not only electric vehicles, I’ve been insulted repeatedly by traditional bike messengers for coasting on my e-scooter behind Citibikes, because they want you to go faster and overtake everyone. But I coast behind bicycles to avoid intimidating and annoying them with excessive speed difference 🤷🏻♂️
Bottom line is people need to learn how to respect their peers 😒
The minority of reckless PEV riders (mainly delivery guys on arrow bikes and citi bikers) are gonna ruin it for the rest of us
lol license plate for e scooter.... just a way for them to extort for more money, how typical of these greedy states.
lol what state do u live in?
@@RideWithAnthony taxafornia
This is all B'S. So what tag the E scooter and that will change things. He'll no. Let's talk about fires. So what are we going to do about crack heads that burn down house's every day. Or all the killing day in and day out. But no they want to focus on E scooters. Yea okay. I will not tag my scooter not going to happen. All they want is money point blank. People get hit by cars everyday. So what band cars. SMFH.
If someone is going over 20 mph and gets into a wreck they do need insurance to pay the $100,000 doctor bills. They really will run a bill that high within a year for life changing injuries.
@@chrisdudley8366 word dude.
I made my own batteries and do not over amp them and they are fine. I made them in 2017. Those huge scooters are pulling way too many amps and must be using wires that are not rated for such a high amp discharge. I had to replace some of the wiring from one of my eBike kits with Silicone wiring to help with the cheap wiring used.
What cells u are using ? Can u make 20 ah for Segway max?
It's the freaking gas powered mopeds with no plates and registration which is the main problem. Stop trying to put it on the E scooters and e bikes.
I know bro but now since we on the watch
I live in NYC and no cop is gonna catch me on my dualtron ultra 2 if u get caught on an e scooter your an idiot and it's the gas powered Mopeds that are the problem
I just saw a cop chase down someone in a dualtron lol
It’s definitely the migrants I see them all the time it’s insane
People ride electric scooters 🛴 they don’t want to be on dirty trains with homeless people taking shit 💩 inside the wagon
lol what scooter do you ride?
@@RideWithAnthony RS5+ roadrunner. I do upper east to queens 25 mile daily
I work in the subway and co-sign this sentiment. It's a free for all down there. During the weekend the trains service is insane with all construction projects which makes trip take even longer.
I would like to see all cars banned from NY city. To me, I can not stand going to NY city because of all the cars.
Yeah the issue is too many people in the way !!!
Great video👍
I have an Apollo now. Is your NY law going to ban a powerful Apollo Pro? I was thinking they would not ban it if the speed can be electronically limited and they can do that well and you seem to have to pull over to turn the speed back up using the app.
It depends where you live ? Apollo pro I haven’t rode that scooter I only got the phantom. How do you like the pro?
No such thing as an "uncertified lithium battery". Proper storage is a real issue though.
This, metal detectors in the subway, congestion pricing, the list goes on
Well when I was riding the subways ,I would've feel more safe to know that someone didn't get in with a box cutter to slice me up.
@patony_1288 been thinking people carried since i was like 13. I feel you
@@patony_1288 oh man! How many times did you get stabbed ?
@@carlzobel513almost once 😮
@@carlzobel513 None thanks to the metal detectors
It's one thing to see these delivery e-bikes on tv or video, but in person they are massive. you get a 200 pound dude on a 75 -80 pound bike with a milk carton stacked with whatever on the rear and bags hanging over the sides riding on the sidewalk barely missing pedestrians and going the wrong direction in bike lanes and it's like a war zone on the street. Don't worry about your dualtron if they cant even controal that menace. Ride safe, keep it legit, and wear protective gear.
As far as I know gig delivery people need to have proper documentation to be allowed to work.
Why u think they using fake accounts?
Well im luck af that i dont live in new york city cause i use my escooters everyday to get to where i gotta go lol. On top of that i got me a new nanrobot LS7+ 72 volt escooter on the way should arrive around may.
lucky you where do you stay
I don't get why American had this issue with e-bikes with all these accident on the road and such especially with the lawful traffics they had. In Southeast Asia, everyone ride motorbikes on sidewalks, streets, and allies both on the right ways and wrong ways all the time with the most complicated of high traffic control yet there are hardly any accidents. Why is that?
You think cause it is different culture
Ain't no way they're going to ban e-Scooters and e-bikes. I feel that NYC economy going to crumble if that happens. What they need to do if enforce the law with these ebike riders. If fools want to ride around like this 0:11 with no helmet, let them risk their life.
How much you think they going to charge for ebike insurance
TBH some of these guys are just clowns and they make life harder for law abiding riders.
It like one bad apple spoils the bunch
Why not just do what California is doing and make you take a online electric scooter/bike class and get a license for it and make more lanes for them
How much is insurance in Cali ?
@@RideWithAnthony You don't need insurance and the online training class is to insure people know the rules of riding
Government losing millions because of e-bikes / e scooters . That’s the real reason
you think they gonna tax us on scooters?
@@RideWithAnthony they will tax you after death . Right now so much money is being saved my New Yorkers simply by using e-bikes / e scooters . Thats the real reason they want to scare the public with lithium batteries . They can’t ban bikes / scooters so they trying to ban batteries
I had a feeling this was coming for the new year 2024 because scooters were becoming very cheap. Prime example of one bad apple, well a few bad apples. Darn !
I have been watching sales and I suspect the low pricing is because the scooter makers know a ban is coming. It is hard to find a Segway GT1 or GT2 in stock.
@@jstewart627 I’ve been watching it too. I knew something was going to happen for 2024. They are trying to make as much as they can before it gets banned. I know someone in NYC that’s selling those. It’s a very solid scooter.
The E- bike/scooters are not really bad, But the Gas mopeds are motor vehicles which should be regulated, They are fast and dangerous, if they hit someone , they just take off, Why? No plates to identify them, I know they needs it for work but if they are making Money, then pay to license them.
exactly. alot of ghetto blacks ride these, which are worst than migrants. Both are bad but native ghetto blacks take the gold.
they are people who drive mopeds the wrong way
Is the gas ones banned
This is insane that nyc residents are going thru with this laws changing having any electric mobile illegals
For me is shouldn’t be because of how convenient they are for going point A to b
do you got $5,000 to go out and buy one for me
did you graduate elementary school my mate?
Tyranny
The laws are there, you knew them when you bought the ebike above a certain mph... Register your vehicle and stop making insurance high as hell for everyone else. I love my Honda Navi and my ebike... But the migrants are going crazy with this ish
do you park your moped over night?
@@RideWithAnthonyhell no too scared it will get stolen. After searching for months and literally handing out flyers I pay a neighbor who has a gated driveway and a post to chain it to he's an ex cop and don't play 😂
the goal is to force everyone to pay and take train or bus. in other ways they want us to die of some type of crime by a criminal.
I live in the UK, and I never see anyone running red lights, but I do see people robbing people on mopeds. Plus, I don't ride my ebikes crazy I don't brake any laws, and I don't blame the guv in New York for cracking down you had something good over there then you just wanted more then you rode the bikes like idiots what do you expect you did this to your selves I saw this coming a mile away people?
Oh, so it's totally the norm to see moped robberies but never anyone running red lights? Sounds perfectly balanced, doesn't it?
I got a cheap ass Jetson but I'm trying to find a battery for it that's not going to explode on me
Any tips on finding a safe battery for a budget-friendly Jetson? I'm all for saving money, but definitely don't want any explosions!
more bureaucrats want to take freedom away
this mayor doesnt know shit you take it and they get new ones you need to enforce this but again it goes against the law, before you get arrested for drinking open beer now you can beat up a cop AND THEY LET YOU GO LOL . you think the city going to improve?
quailty of life laws that giulaini started affects all parts of life. we all want family to be safe so who wouldnt want a safer better place to live , only low lives that dont care about family. anyway great videos bro have a blessed day all
I think the city is using this as an opportunity to hit e-scooters specifically because I'm sure if we look at the stats for battery fires, a larger proportion of the fires are e-scooters and delivery e-bikes.
so, did you look at the stats before posting your lame comment? #nyc
@@Jerry-yj3uy Nope. That's why I started my sentence with "I think." Since you took the time to reply, why don't you look that up and let the rest of us know.
@@lrmat if you didn't take a look then how can you be SURE?
Ok. I would have left it at one snide comment begets another, but since it seems you are asking a legitimate question, I will answer. I had seen earlier that within the fire departments stats the number of lithium ion fires are all lumped together as “e-bike” and it’s left pretty vague, I had read that a large proportion of those fires are from e-scooters (also not clear if it’s scooters or e-mopeds). A large proportion of the e-bike fires are those delivery bikes. According to the fire department (and you can look this up) a good amount are caused by either damaged batteries, tampered batteries, or using the wrong charger and leaving them unattended. Could I be wrong and misunderstood things? Sure. Does it track? Sure.
It is really hard to have a battery fire when you have a BMS and proper build. I accidentally charged one of my 42v batteries with the 54.6v charger but the BMS was able to take that power in and cut the power when the battery reached 42v, I was shocked and will not do that again. The battery did not get hot and I guess I was lucky with the quality of that BMS from China eBay.
They just trying to make money from everyone that has one even the ones that follow rules and whatever ny does New Jersey kinda follow right behind it law wise
You think they gonna have scooter with plates ?

damn homie. Did you graduate elementary school fam?
If it comes down to it. I think I’ll be ok paying UNDER $50 a month for everything to be legal on the road.
I think my motorcycle insurance was $1,000 a year for full coverage on a $10,000 bike. I don't want to pay that again. I think the insurance price was the same for a $3,000 dual sport motorcycle too. Then there is the yearly taxes and city taxes and the road use taxes from the DMV. All those extra costs and I could buy an Apollo Pro every 2-3 years.
@@jstewart627 that’s way too much for me. You would think it would be cheaper on a cheaper bike.

I got nothing against scooters but I have to say I want them gone too, its too dangerous with them riding everywhere almost crashing into cars and just causing accidents and just leaving. Its insane.
have you ever got hit by someone riding a scooter?

The mayor and his cronies are fucking hypocrites. First of all the scooters shouldn’t leave the shops without insurance or registration.
What do Dualtron or other eScooters have to do with those who ride a bike to deliver food? Normally those who have a Dualtron or the same range comply with the traffic rules, not those who don't know how to ride an eScooter. Basically what you want is views on this shitty video.
