I missed these fruits…! In my mom’s big garden ( my mother plants everything in the garden) we had all the vegetables herbs and fruit trees. I am living in the U.S. for many years now. After all these yrs, still missed..!
My favorite fruit of all time, can't have enough of it. This will be one of my projects when I get back home.
I have a few plants growing that I planted from seed. I can't wait till they are grown and fruit. New member here. Greetings from Uganda.
Wow nice. I was born in Uganda. Left the country when I was 11 years old. It’s been 50 years since I left. I have found memories of the beautiful climate, fruits and flowers.
Give it two years with tlc, there should be flowers and fruits.
@@otchsigua8223 I got squirrels trying to eat our fruits, sad really 😞
This plant is planted only seed and starts bearing fruit after about a year And it has to be totally in the sun
Sweet sop in my country...yummy
My 2nd most favorite fruit after mango. This fruit is a blessing for those who happen to have tasted it or where it grows. In India, it is all over the place and I love it.
We can buy it in England & it’s so delicious.. i buy the ripe ones & if you’re lucky they are reduced when too ripe
Very educative, for the maintenance of sirkaya fruit and its breeding. Very interesting example. very useful knowledge.
I really like sugar apple, it tastes very sweet even though we have a lot of seeds to choose from. at my place, a lot of growing in the yard without fertilization. Thank you for your sharing.
At my childhood home in Malaysia, my parents house used to have this fruit, guava, mango etc loved all of them. I've moved to Sweden since more then 30 years now, missed all those fruits.
Hi a

These fruits grow all over Jamaica and we refer to them as sweetsop, it's one of my favorite fruits
wow. cây trồng của bạn rất đẹp, trái to, bạn chia sẻ thật tuyệt vời. chúc gia đình bạn sức khỏe tốt
Ce fruit me rappelle des souvenirs d enfance au Vietnam...il est délicieux !
I love these! There were many trees near my home when I was little. Seeing this makes me nostalgic for the island life. We call them sweetsop in 🇯🇲
Same here (regarding nostalgia). My maternal family is from Cuba. In Miami (when I use to live there during my youth, I grew them in my backyard garden. We called them Guanabara.
Cherimoya is not the same in taste to me.
Currently over here *drooling* ha ha ha 🤤🤤🤤🤤😋
Correction : Guanabana (keyboard malfunction lol).
Sugar apple one of my favorite fruit thanks for sharing
thank you for sharing this tip. I will try it on my sugar apple tree and hope that it gives me big fruits.
Great ideas, I grew up with them really miss this wonderful apple.
Man Atis is one of my very favorite fruit! Watching you from South of Palawan. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless kapatid😘🙏💖
Wow..nice video.Thank you for sharing my friend. 👍👍👍
Just came across this video and love it but a bit afraid to cut the branches as shown. My plant is grown in a pot from seeds and is about 4 years old it has never fruited. I live in the UK so I am very pleased to see someone in Canada had their plant fruited who is growing under similar condition as myself.
Nice one i will try that to my sugar apple tree.. Thanks for the info.. Watching from philippines
I have a sugar apple in Toronto, Canada for 4 years. It produced fruit this year and does well indoors for the winter. It was grafted and stands 5’ tall
What temps do you bring her inside?
Are you growing indoor or outdoor?
@@sreedar13 Did you not read what he said He is growing it indoors.
@@dararamasa539 no one is perfect.
Chris Avila God bless you.
🌿🌻 l enjoyed this fruit in my hometown Belgaum from a tree my dad had planted years ago.
Man those looks so good, I wish I lived in climate where I can grow tropical fruit trees like this.
You can get them anywhere in America with a green house and heater for over wintering!
You could skip a heater even and use a 1000w Metal Halide Grow light which would warm the whole green house during the time it's on and boost growth 10 fold and than you'd only need the heater on whenever the lights are off which is easy to do with two cheap timers
Also all cherimoya species are very similar and theres one species native to America called the paw paw and its considered the only tropical fruit native to America! It grows outdoors perfectly anywhere in america and it prefers lots of shade early in its life so planting near your house on the shaded side is recommended! I'm growing two paw paw trees in southern Oregon!
Very true video,Thank you so much for your all Advices. I will sure try this.

@@otchsigua8223
The birds 🐦 do and will eat them here in Florida.
100% agreed!@@lisettesyummygarden2299
I think Michael sells those sacs. It's expensive though.
We do hard-pruning fertilization practices for off-season production
I love this fruit ,my grandma had many of them ,the war in Vietnam killed them all
شكرا جزيلا لك أتمنى ان توافينا بالجديد دائما 🌹
Custard apple and sugar apple are two different fruits. Sugar apple is also called sweet sap .
We call these as custard apple in India.

Hey buddy I tried this method and it really works thanks alot
Tastes like pear, soft very sweet, we have them. They grow very fast.
Interesting, my Sugar apples taste nothing like pear. They taste like coconut cream mixed with custard cream. I remember, offering them to friends and family, first reaction was always: oh, it tastes like ice cream 😅
Amei o nome, mas no meu país se chama: pinha, fruta do conde ou condesa. Muito deliciosa
I will try...thanks my friend
I have a sugar apple tree and I must say that the fragrance of the tree is amazing.
Can u send some seeds
I remember eating this fruit in Guyana, five decades ago.
Nice wow I love it
Hello, Ferry Man-
What do you use to fertilize Sugar apple, and how often?
My sugar apple is grafted onto my cherimoya because it’s just a little too cold for Sugar apple roots, but perfect for Cherimoya.
I love your videos!
This my hometown fruits . Miss this fruits ❤️. Just 🔔
All we don't live in the tropics so that we could have all kinds of fruit all year round. Even in southern part of Europe we often have minus temperatures in the month of May so, because, at that time most of the fruit trees are in bloom so those low temperatures destroy all our hopes that we will eat those fruits whole that year that we planted and so, for the next year, again, still that new hope exists in our hearts. I ate sugar apples when I was in Bharat and can tell that that is my favorite fruit after mango. It has silk-like texture and very soft, sweet juicy pulp. Gift to some of us (you) from God.
Some comments above show that you can bring the plant indoors if it's in a pot ofcourse, when the weather is too cold.
Thank you for sharing the above video. We hv two sugar apples grow quite near each other, but these fruit trees rarely grow fruits only a few fruits a year. Although we put fertilizer. May I know what is the problem we are in Sinapore tropical climate.
@@myongmyong2907 Have you try hand polination? There are videos in the internet on how to do it. ( How to polinate sugar apples) Anona squamosa is the botanical name.

@@lucibelarmino8010 Do you polinate the flowers manually transferring the polen from the male flower to the female one?. I live San Antonio, TX and we don't have the right kind of polinators here. My plant is two years old in a pot and had flowers but they all fell off. I will do the hand polination next year. There are videos in the internet of how to do it.
@@lisadabbs2181 They are in my greenhouse. Yes; I've pollinated manually. Lots of flowers but sometimes hand pollinating is unsuccessful. So, I place rotting fruit, especially bananas to attract fruitflies and dilaudid beetles, which is the main pollinator of sugar apples. I didn't do any manual pollinating this season, but am able to pick 7 so far. It's good enough for me. 😀🌱
Thank you so much sharing

Nice video.. We have some plants of this in our farm.. We try to do organically.. Can you please provide some videos on how u manage fertilization and pesticides and fungicide related issues.. If organic way u have then great
Its called atis. Our upgrowing candy. We Lived in a plantation camp on the Big island of Hawaii, called Pa'auhau. We have couple trees in our yard. Love that sweet fruit. Lumpy on the outside inside is white with black seeds. You eat the white sweet fruit around the black seeds, and spit out the seeds. Really refreshing fruit.
HOW THE FUCK YOU KNOW MY NAME
What fertilizer do you use?
Wow my favorite fruit.
Yes..i like sugar apple
I love that fruit in Hawaii we called atemoya and it’s hard to come by
Atemoya is a cross between Atis and cherimoya. You may have to cross pollinate both, a very promising big project.
Mi fruta preferida ! 👍👍🌹🌹😏❤❤
I just love it

i like this sugar apple the taste is soo sweet
Atis is the name for sugar apple in the Philippines. Cherimoya is a close cousin of sugar apple, which is known for anti-oxidant properties (anti-cancer). Atis is a seasonal fruit, good cash crop. But the poor country of the Philippines does not cultivate or farm them. The fruit found in the markets are just produced from backyard trees. The vast agricultural lands are mostly owned by a few oligarch, which prevent small farmers from using their lands to farm. The only chance for some poor farmers is to farm in the mountains, but they might be tagged as "rebels" and might encounter a firefight with the government soldiers.

Wow its nice 👌 sending big love from Indonesia 🇮🇩❤️🙏
Contact the Ministro de Agricultura to develop a program to help land owners to grow all kinds of tropical fruits to export to US and Canada.
It would be a good source of income. Fruit like yellow pitaya, maracuya are very expensive here. The red pitayas come all the way from Vietnam. Why is that, when
There are so many Latin countries close by with the right kind of weather?.

Wow nice
