I can't wait to get this..my obsession with joyo started with a youtube giveaway win...now I have one of their compressions, the vintage od, aquarius delay and the atmosphere reverb..I'm all joyo aside from my tuner and lekato looper. But honestly I love the almost entirely joyo chain I've got and can't wait to keep adding to it! Great demo.
The Pedal is amazing sounding for the money about £50-£55 over here. I love the analogue delay and chorus. With the Reversre it seems to repeat the normal attack protion of the sound and then the reverse which I have never heard on a delay before. Regarding your guitar tone, I can see you have Blade/Rail humbuckers but you still have a nice bright sparkly, twangy top end. Great playing too!
Now I'm confused, when I asked the manufacturer if the d-seed had spillover/trail away function when bypassed they said it hadn't but at 6:46 I can definitely hear repetitions when you switched it off. Does the damn thing trails away or doesn't it?
I got one of these a few months back. I'm having trouble liking it honestly. I think I'm too used to my old EH Memory Toy, which has less stuff to adjust, but still sounds pretty awesome. I guess I need to play around with the d seed some more. Good review Shane.
It's a good delay pedal. It's very adjustable, you can dial in almost any type of delay effect you like. For me, I have another pedal, the memory toy, which is smaller and less effects,?but still a great pedal. The d seed is a good pedal for your first one.
Can anybody identify the tune he plays at 2:14 ? I'm pretty sure he uses this little melody in several of his videos. I assume it is from a popular song, but maybe he made it up himself. Does anybody recognize it?
Can this do dotted 8? And how? I have been doing the 1 2 123 method for tapping and this pedal cant quite catch it as it seems to me that it only recognize 2 taps or even numbers tapping... And also, what's the ext F.S for? Thanks
thanks for that, nice demo, this pedal is ridiculously cheap (77 euro in Europe - they fo under the moniker of Harley Benton here), total bargain, recommended to anyone who feels they need to splash out 400- 500 bucks on a delay pedal to sound good ;)
Hi! Ive been watching your reviews from a long time now and they are nice! Keep the good work I have a question though. Im buying some pedals and im not sure whats next: delay or phaser. The phaser im looking for is the joyo or mooer but i want a good delay and i cant afford right now. I play some king of black keys style, post punk revival and alternative rock. I already own an OD, trémolo, volume, tuner and fuzz. So...delay or phaser? Thanks!
Hey I notice you use a lot digital and analog pedals for demos. So my question is there really a difference between both of em? I hear analog is "better" honestly it sounds the same to me. So which do you prefer?
Not really. You have to tap the dotted eighth or whatever you want keeping in mind the true tempo of the tune you want... Its a little bit of a mind workout...
I recently bought one of these used, and it's loaded with the previous owner's stored presets. I tried to find a manual, but nothing explains how to do a factory reset. Do you know how? Thanks
i've been wathcing your demos from joyo to moen and other analog pedal and im planning to buy a delay pedal, i have jeckyle and hyde v2 but i don't know which one is better to put in a pedal chain. joyo d-seed/joyo jf33 or moen pretty dolly analog delay.???? thanks
My time force started to become crazy at about a year having it from new.. now it is just a big high pitch noise under the main sound, pedal on AND off as well..
Nice review. I just got a little doubt and it regards to the tap tempo, i know you mention it in the end, but my concern is having to tap tempo it with two switchs. Is there any tipe of getting used to it, or you can use it quite easily?
Just got mine, it's a wonderful pedal, great sound and definitly it's real easy to use. The two channels are very useful, you can have one channel with digital delay, and other with modulatiom(if you turn down the delay time, you have one channel with a beautiful chorus).
+Yayoduster Nux +Mark McKinney Time Core has more feature, cheaper also. you should compare with Nux Time Force too which has more more feature but still cheaper than joyo. Both Nux has stereo sound, Joyo doesn't, what do you guys think?
+Daniel Tobing Thanks Daniel. I ended up saving up for a Memory Man with Hazarai in the end. I agree about the Time Force though. I have a Mod Force and its a great little pedal. Lots of features. I play keys so stereo ins and outs is important also.
***** wow what a good price with that. Is the delay sound better than Nux? i'm planning to buy a delay pedal with the best sound quality but cheap price, do you have any recommendation?
Daniel Tobing It depends what you're after and what you want to do with it. Also what's your budget? The Memory Man with Hazarai is a great pedal for crazy warped sounds and experimenting (which suits my style). The looper function is great too. But If you're just after simple delay with a good tone then there are probably other pedals that would probably best suit your needs.
I think u have the preset storage wrong.. when light os flashing after u changed parameters u press Channel A/B to store and Bypass on/off to cancel. What u did in the video was just cancel ur adjustments and change channels.
does this have the crystal clean repeats of the boss. I really need a percussive delay like the dd7. I have a DE7 but even on digital modes the repeats are really mushy and not concrete enough
I swear I heard the guitar has "Joe Biden" pickups... 😉 What I want to know is why anyone makes a pedal that isn't true bypass any more these days. I can tolerate a pedal that's not great and has limited usefulness, basically a "one song" or so pedal. But if it's not completely transparent when switched off it's not getting anywhere near my signal chain. If it's not explicitly labeled true bypass, it'll have to do something incredible AND prove itself to not be a tone vampire for me to even consider spending a dime on it. Figured I'd comment what I was thinking just in case any pedal manufacturers cruise through YT comments....

This pedal has endless possibilities. The functions are unbelievable considering its price is under $100.
Clean tone is amaze-balls

I love this pedal. Had one for about 6 months now, but I'm still confused by the controls! Despite this (or me), it is pure class and so bloody cheap.
Now I'm confused, when I asked the manufacturer if the d-seed had spillover/trail away function when bypassed they said it hadn't but at 6:46 I can definitely hear repetitions when you switched it off. Does the damn thing trails away or doesn't it?
It has about 750ms of trails... at least mine does...
Cool short presentation !
I going to buy 2 of these and for all four types of delays. Cheap and sounds great. Sounds no different than those expensive ones.
can't we have two different delay settings, and use them one by one, without having to change the settings?!
WIthout a doubt the best pedal demo channel on youtube. Would be cool if you would demo the Cock Fight by electro harmonix. Thanks intheblues!
Thanks for Your Videos bro... Keep on Going bro and God Bless You !!

Tell me how was the experience ! I´m thinking in buying itt but i´m not sure yet. It´ll be my first delay pedal. Some advices?

Great Pedal, Great review, Really appreciate your videos... Keep'em coming.. !
You have a Mr. Pibb shirt...that’s awesome!
have you tried the joyo digital delay JF08?
Yo man. Just wanted to thank you for the great review. Hopefully they're still available (in Australia) for not too much.
Unless your unite is different model, mine requires to push A/B switch to save the settings.
Or was that the tap setting? Yip, the controls are foggy. Pedal is great, so maybe it's the user?
Hi Shane, thanks for your demo. I'd like to know if I can plug an expression pedal in the external input (EXT.SW)?
+Phillip Pardo Yes you can
Can this do dotted 8? And how? I have been doing the 1 2 123 method for tapping and this pedal cant quite catch it as it seems to me that it only recognize 2 taps or even numbers tapping...

Would you say this pedal is better then a boss dd7?
Wow.
About presets. can you dial one in and save it even if you power the pedal off.
will it save it from house to gig?
Yes. If you save a preset, it will remain when you power off.
Hey, I'm just wondering, are you able to cut our the dry signal whilst in reverse entirely JUST to get the reverse signal?
No unfortunately.
Shane, what pickups and pots are you using in that Tele? I want to change mine, and those sound fantastic!
I use CTS Mojo Tone pots and Joe Barden Danny Gatton Pickups. Thanks mate :-)
intheblues Thanks, Shane. I love your videos, man!
intheblues Thank you, sir!

Hi mate does this have a stereo out so can run stereo through 2 amps regards Craig
Nope.
For anyone reading this, joyo now has a d-seed v2, which has stereo in/out, and several more delay modes.
Hi! Ive been watching your reviews from a long time now and they are nice! Keep the good work
I have a question though. Im buying some pedals and im not sure whats next: delay or phaser. The phaser im looking for is the joyo or mooer but i want a good delay and i cant afford right now. I play some king of black keys style, post punk revival and alternative rock.

So...delay or phaser?
Thanks!
Have you had this pedal in a chain? Is there any noise within a chain of about 6-8 pedals? any tone sucking?
I have it in a chain of 12+ and there is no tone sucking or noise.
Shane, do you have reverb on your clean tone? That really messed up the review for me.
*I just rewound the video - you do have reverb.
I just ordered one of these, but I already have the Pretty Dolly, any reason to keep both on my pedal board?
Hey I notice you use a lot digital and analog pedals for demos. So my question is there really a difference between both of em? I hear analog is "better" honestly it sounds the same to me. So which do you prefer?
Can you set it to a dotted eighth note or quater note etc?
Not really. You have to tap the dotted eighth or whatever you want keeping in mind the true tempo of the tune you want... Its a little bit of a mind workout...
Sounds great! Is it a copy of anything (like other Joyos)?
I am not too sure if it is, but quite possibly.
can you do set a dotted eighth delay on this pedal?
I recently bought one of these used, and it's loaded with the previous owner's stored presets. I tried to find a manual, but nothing explains how to do a factory reset. Do you know how? Thanks
I bet you said the same about your Mary.

Hi, Ruel. Guess you're still waiting for an answer, huh? And "wathcing". I imagine people just read your message and think of you as a moron. Sorry.
D-SEED or NUX TIME FORCE?
dseed!
My time force started to become crazy at about a year having it from new.. now it is just a big high pitch noise under the main sound, pedal on AND off as well..
Mode 3 is just soooo good!
great demo, man!! Mr PIBB t-shirt is cool. I want to get one, but dont know where to buy it. I live in Brazil.
I got mine from a Target shop in the USA. Check out some t-shirt sites on the web in the US you shouldn't have too much trouble finding them :-)
will it still save my preset when i unplug it?
Yep

Can you do a tutorial how to setup dotted eigth? Particularly this effect pedal?
I don't have the pedal anymore mate, sorry.
If there is a reply, it has been coded into Hide/Reveal : you press one, you get the other. But no reply.
can this pedal do that analog delay thing where changing the delay time changes the pitch?
basically can it do this: facebook.com/video.php?v=10152604175424261 ?
would there be much need to get a separate chorus pedal when I get this one?
Sercan Usta yes if you want to add chorus to your dry signal
How would you compare this to the Nux Time Core?
+Yayoduster I been trying to decide between these two also.....Help us Shane!
+Yayoduster Nux +Mark McKinney Time Core has more feature, cheaper also. you should compare with Nux Time Force too which has more more feature but still cheaper than joyo. Both Nux has stereo sound, Joyo doesn't, what do you guys think?

how do u do the tap tempo wirh both buttons?? do u switch one after th me other?? cos ud fall over trying to balence with both feet
lol
Really?? U can press them with only one foot.
Hitting both buttons activates the tap tempo, then one button to set it.
can somebody tell me if the extension switch works for external tapping? It isn't awkward tapping with two switches?
I've got this pedal, but I don't know. Sorry.
In the reverse, I heard he saying: "Now were entering in the weed territory" lol
Weird territory. (strange)

It's not true bypass. Does that mean it has delay trails?
having a what? inyu signal? what's that?
this pedal have a noise or not.
how is this with leads with lots of distortion?
its still good with too much distortion.just brought this one.
@@carljunel6322 Your answer is a bit Mong.
rowin Time maker please
Are you a fan of Dredg
what is the use of the footswitch.?
Carl Junel good question, maybe for another 'save' option? idk though
just brought this one. it has 6seconds delay for tap tempo.
Carl Junel thanks m8, i just ordered it too
its also good on guitar swelling. so good.
Yeah... What is it for? Some says for channel switching ( which is confusing) and some says for tap tempo? Or is it both?
Can I play U2 stuff with this delay?
only the edge can play u2 stuff
Yep, get to it. Don't delay!
Nah, you'd have to delay that.

I mention it at the start. It's a Fender Mustang IV on the Fender Twin Setting.

will this work on a bass guitar?
Yes, it will.
Mr. Pibb!
does it have a tap temp option?
it does. tap both switches at desired tempo and there ya go

it does.
thanks!!
True BP?
He says it isn't in the first 20 seconds of the video.
is it true bypass??????
No.
i guess you shouldnt call it clean when it has reverb on
Dean Chan When he says clean he refers to the sound without the pedal engaged, 'dry' would be an appropriate term for no Effects at all.
Mix pot is bad! It gives too much wet signal (delay) at a mere 8 o'clock position. That is useless.
Maybe you should set your clock to Western time. My pedal works fine.
I heard Joe Biden pickups
Joe Barden Danny Gatton pups.
