The song became a pan-African liberation song and versions of it were later adopted as the national anthems of five states in Africa including Zambia, Tanzania, Namibia and Zimbabwe after independence. Zimbabwe and Namibia have since adopted new compositions for their national anthems. The song's melody is currently used as the national anthem of Tanzania and the national anthem of Zambia; and since 1997, in the national anthem of South Africa.

The true son of Africa, Wode Maya. You remind me of the great Julius Nyerere . At school we have learnt how Father Nyerere taught us long time ago that our African education system is destroying us. He said that we Africans are dependent on agriculture and God has given us the most fertile land ever. What we do is we send our hard worker farmers to cities for collage study when they are about ready to farm. By the time our young people has finished freshman the only thing they hate is farming and living around farm or in the country side. To make thing worse our collages dont teach us farming. No they teach us physics and chemistry. By the time we are graduate we do nothing but teach other physics and chemistry. The farming is dead and we get aid. Oh Nyerere, how angry you were when you wrote that book.
Seriously, now all the good stuff you hear in movies are from this great nation. Things like “I wanna strut in the great Serengeti” or “ you look like you have just come from climbing the Kilimanjaro” or “I wanna be on a beach in Zanzibar” the Hakuna matata’s and so on. Come on!!!

I understand Swahili... it's good to see that their national anthem was also praying for Africa in general not only Tanzania unlike other national anthems.... good work 👊
Yes brother Mwalimu nyerere Wanted all Africa to be one.....hakuwa na uchoyo had I tunaiombea Africa kwa ujumla
It sounds like the South African National anthem
Asante

@@benamimulokozi6052 the others countries were lucky didn't listen to dictator nyerere who end up rulling Zanzibar by force against our will
Wow beautiful Tanzania much love from Rwanda love tanzanian and much respect to His excellence Pombe Magufuri I really like his ways
@Hamish mmbaga that's really good and I wish all Africans love each other that's how we can be strong but jealous and hatred are killing us even if it's like that I love Africa and am proud to be African
HE. Paul kagame is in Tanzania now he has been coming to Tanzania several times.
I went to Zanzibar last christmas, and it was my best trip ever
I swear Tanzania is way beautiful than Nairobi. So clean & its architecture. God bless Tanzania 🇹🇿
You hairy ass...who is your geography teacher?
Godbless you too
Why do you have to abuse him for his observation? True Dar is more beautiful than Nairobi. Nairobi lacks the ocean view
@@TonnyOkello so advocate ....okello you want as to take nairobi to the coast...you are the sort of people who proposed that river should be moved instead of buildings

Thanks

I like the direction of your Chanel lately . Keep up the good work.
I'm Kenyan but I feel like Tanzania's economy is growing so fast than Kenya. The fruits of good leadership. 10 years from now and Tanzania might be the regional hub for East and Central Africa.
Countries that use their native language for everything progress faster. Tanzania has tribes too and 300 languages but they have decided to make one of their languages (swahili) a common national language for everybody instead of relying on the colonial master's language of English ( it doesn't mean they don't speak English). Nigeria, Ghana and Others has a lot to learn from Tanzanians!! THANKS WODE MAYA FOR SHOWING US TO THE WORLD!
Nigeria has upto 500 languages with almost 380 ethnic groups ..
Now who wants to learn the other persons language or take it as an overall spoken language...
Isn't that domination against each other...
We speak pidgin too..
Thank u
MidoMidox Doskwanza ..pls educate us about the Christian slavery you just claimed...Slavery was an economic evil known to mankind ,it’s not for religious reasons and was never for conversion ..What makes one a Christian? Define that and tell me slave masters are in anyway true Christians..Saying you are Christian does not make you one ,but what you do says it all...
Chance the Navigator ...You obviously don’t know these countries are multi lingual...
@@midomidoxdoskwanza646 Swahili is an indigenous language originally called Kingozi
@@midomidoxdoskwanza646 don't get twisted brother Swahili is a Bantu language our language was spoken by Bantus tribes of Zaramu, Tumbatu and other great Bantu tribes before 2000AD... Islam was brought back to E. Africa by slaves and few Arab traders about year 690 after the death of prophet (saw)... we trade with the Indians (Gujrat) first then we trade with Persians (Shiraz) where the Swahili people gave the King of Persian a present of Giraffe from East African coast... then came the Portuguese (khazarians) after a time Arabs (Ishmaelites) arrived late with Slaves trade not Swahili language or Islam because by then we were already Muslims... We have some Swahili words from holly Quran but not from normal street Arabs.

Absolutely right because if you look at east Africa countries Ghana is village

To be honest Ghana is doing fairly well , I have been to Ghana. Isn't that bad and your system is still working well compared to most African countries I have been to. Especially the French speaking ones. Their system is totally broken and corrupt /failed to the core.

The greatest lies demonic evil media and organizations the European created against Africa and her children is BBC, CNN, NGOs, WHO, IMF, Red cross, Medicine San frontier, world bank, ICC, UN, Human right, some countries democracy etc all this are Hippocrates organizations against Africa and her children to fool and blind our brothers and sisters in Africa and diasporas. All this were dangerous weapons against Africa just for western interest. To make Africa greater is we have to reject and refuses all this their media organizations and create our own so that we can be completely free especially their printed papers call money. Look at the beautiful countries in Africa their media have never being showing in the world, that is to show you Africans how western hate us,wake up Africans all over the world retake your mama Africa and be in full control of Africa the richest continent in the world that our Almighty God have blessed us with,May his holy name be praise.

The true son of Africa, Wode Maya. You remind me of the great Julius Nyerere
I've never heard of this country but it looks so developed damn ....
It's lovely country, where are you from originally
Karibu sana
