Gamma bursts can also occur when the fusion reaction becomes helium poisoned. Possibly some of these gamma bursts are forming stars that burn out as they are forming. The problem is overcome in fusion weapons by controlling the reaction speed with gallium alloy.

After reading a certain book, the basic Three Body problem is some of the scariest stuff I can think about. Just the fact that something so simple could be so hard that it might even be impossible is very, very scary when you then think about the complexity of the entire universe.
Did you know that you can weaponise a black hole, some big mirrors and EM waves? You could theoretically create a supernova with that. It's pretty cool.

I'm no expert. But I believe the distinction comes from the term object. A quasar is not an object. It is essentially an entire galaxy that has a super nasty black hole core x2 going nuts sending out pulses of energy and matters from the poles. It's alot more than an object anyways. But the aforementioned objects are indeed singular objects. All be it crazy big.
You've filled in some great missing gaps, like the magnetic force creating the jets. It's still a lot to get your head around, the whole complexity of it. It's ironic that we are so lucky not being zapped yet we are so content screwing up the world ourselves!!!!
The speed of that neutron star animation really unsettled me for some reason. Something that massive and violent spinning around quietly at such speeds is frightening.. but fascinating as hell too.

It would appear that the youthful universe partied hard. Wrapping ones mind around the sizes of stars and energy given off by various events is mind numbing. A shooting gallery, indeed. :)
A thought that just crossed my mind: UA-cam channels like these, are doing the job Discovery channel did in the 90's, but as they and similar companies, became only more interested in numbing viewer ratings, became disgustingly cheap reality show channels. And somehow this gives the feeling that the majority of the population thinks this is because there is no interest in scientific media like this. And I personally am so glad, channels like this prove them wrong!
I remember reading about Gamma Ray Bursts in a lexicon at the school library. I was 13 years old when I learned about one of the greatest potential threats to mankind. Had an impact.
For a point of reference for that neutron star, it would be like compressing 7,500 super oil tankers fully laden weighing in at 400k tons each down to the size of a matchbox.
I would imagine a Pair-instability supernova would be even more powerful than a Hypernova, considering the sizes of the stars involved and the fact that the entire star is obliterated before a black hole remnant can even form. But I haven't studied physics in decades now, so I'm sure things are known that I didn't hear about back when I studied this stuff.
