    • @yodaco
      @yodaco 4 роки тому +10

      I'm no expert. But I believe the distinction comes from the term object. A quasar is not an object. It is essentially an entire galaxy that has a super nasty black hole core x2 going nuts sending out pulses of energy and matters from the poles. It's alot more than an object anyways. But the aforementioned objects are indeed singular objects. All be it crazy big.

    I would imagine a Pair-instability supernova would be even more powerful than a Hypernova, considering the sizes of the stars involved and the fact that the entire star is obliterated before a black hole remnant can even form. But I haven't studied physics in decades now, so I'm sure things are known that I didn't hear about back when I studied this stuff.

    @5:45 aren't all stars astronomical in mass, by definition?

      Emerson White it's like the old joke, 'the size of our galaxy is astronomical'. My physics teacher at school told us that one. Not one kid in the class even grinned. He had to repeat the line again, and emphasise the last word whilst pointing at it on the blackboard before people chuckled. We were a bit slow in those days LOL.

    Just say: Sun's power output is 3.8e26W (without the "per second").
