here for the replay - will be keeping me company while I'm working this morning. I have that same shirt, Wally - it helps me find my tribe when I'm out and about!
Great shirt!! :) We had fun and I hope you enjoyed the discussion. SO MUCH INFO!!!! Thanks for tuning in and if you did learn something cool, let me know in the comments.
THIS IS SO COOL! Thanks everyone, need this. Brand new to isopods. My little boy is allergic to cats and dogs, so isopods are perfect for him. He loves all insects, amphibians, and reptiles. Bless you all for this.
Hi Experts 😊 I wasn't sure where to ask but I need some Isopod help! I have a stunning newish Zebra isopod terranium. 43cm glass spider tank used. I have a tiny started family of pods, just 6. But can't really find them in South Africa easily. There are a bunch of spring tails in the tank too. Question, my tank only have the two 3cm round holes in the lid with the plastic Vents. But I'm worried I don't have side ventilation and the foods growing alot of mould. What can I do? I'm scared of moving the isopods again and stressing them out and loosing them 🙃. Help! P.S if there is a good forum I can join for iso help pls let me know. The ones I found scare me, people are so nasty to each other so I'm too scared to post questions on them 😅
Nice company, authors of top iosopod videos. When it starts isopods seems to be breeding too fast, but it depends on species. Maybe they could be stressed to slow them down. - In nature the most isopods I found near the sea in nutrient poor enviroment. Rotten wood on sandy soil or lime debris of castles. Conifer forest is not where to seek an isopods exept near the beach where are plenty of them. - outweights by ++++. They need something from a sea, we just don't know what exactly. (salt, iodine, sulphate or some other chemicals.) The exeption are porcellionides pruinosus I found in well rotten manure heap in my garden. (Scientic tests shows nitrate is detrimental.) - I "sterilised" rotten wood and mosses by drying them for some months at home in
@@SupremeGecko I watched many of your videos (and those of Aquamarix) about how to keep them properly. But maybe videos of Rus and some funy reptile guy (Clint?) convinced to start it.

I see your comment on IG and will answer there.
@@SupremeGecko Thank you so much 😃
Does anyone have tips on getting rid of mites in my iso bin?
Not easy. You might want to move your isopods to another non-infected container.
