I wish they made more episodes like that. 1 per generation would be fun and something to look forward to. Imagine Ash's Chikorita/Bayleef's or Dawn's Piplup talking with subs. Those two in particular have so much character and it would be fun to see what they're really saying.
Explains why Pikachu is actually smarter than everyone nobody noticed, lol. He is smarter than all of them. And I always expected it. He has no friends enemies personally. Basically. He is just there.
To me, it makes sense that some Pokemone would be able to learn human language. It's been shown over and over that some Pokemon have human intelligence or greater. One example is Slowking, who's Pokedex entries state multiple times that It's intelligence rivals some of the greatest scientists. A lot of people see Pokemon as just animals, which is only sort of true. Some of them are more animalistic, but some of them are more than that. The series is called Pocket MONSTERS for a reason. Not to mention that some of these `Mons are based off of mythological beings that can talk, but still have animalistic traits (Ninetails and the Kitsune for example.) TL:DR: Smarter Pokemon should be able to talk and I hate how everyone think that they are all just animals.
This is a pretty fun recount of the times a mon could talk. But I would have also liked if there was small samples of the voices you are talking about. Like a 3 second clip of the screechy mystery dungeon voices so the audience gets to see what ya mean.
I disagree, I Actually LOVE the fact that there are several Pokémon that can talk like humans, even if it's just telepathically especially with the Legendary, Mythical or even several Psychic type or Fairy type Pokémon.
I think we could count the aurora translation sequence done in the deoxys movie and those moments where meowth gets "possessed" by other pokemon to talk or when the green haired brock replacement got possessed by yamask, or when ash got possessed by a spiritomb in journeys (talking of journeys the weird rap between ash and goh under the control of slowkings was weird but I think It counts?)
i remember hearing this rumor that the original idea for the pokemon anime was that pokemon were sort of like babies and they would learn to talk over time. idk if this is true i think it was from a did you know gaming but tbh jojo has taught me never listen to fans say theories its most likely wrong.
FoldOne, also known as the Fold Man or Fold Being. He is an ancient Pokemon from the void times, that was, before Arceus and before any other things. It was him and the 18 Totem Pokemon with him. The 18 Totem Pokémon each align with the 18 different Pokemon types in the created natural world. FoldOne is the missing 19th Type, the Paradox Type, and he was denied from being one of the Totem Pokemon. The 18 Totem Pokemon Died, but not before creating a magic Egg, from which Arceus was born from, and when they died, their bodies were taken into 18 coffin shaped crystals. These crystals are the Plates of Arceus, and FoldOne is Angry at being denied the ability to create most things. All he managed to create were some weird creatures whose bodies are mostly just 3D Shapes like Cubes, Pyramids, Pentagonal Prisms, Hexagonal Prisms, Octagonal Prisms, and even Prolate Spheroids. The FoldOne himself has a Sphere Head, with a Ribbon like body, arms, and legs. His body can continuously fold into and around itself which is why he has his name of FoldOne. He lives in the Paradox plain, a dimension that is separate from other dimensions. And despite being in this dimension, he occasionally comes into the normal dimension to cause trouble, for example, taking innocent people, transforming them into Pokémon, and teleporting them into dimensions where there are only Pokemon and no Humans. FoldOne has another form, and this form he takes on if he is able to gain access to Arceus’ Plates. He becomes just a big Sphere with a Face emitting Black, Grey, and Red Smoke, and he is able to wield the Plates of Arceus. One of his attacks is called the Runaway Cascade where he spins rapidly, and he does a flurry of attacks using each and every plate. FoldOne has held a deep grudge and hatred towards the 18 Totem Pokémon for casting him out, and shunning him. Even his closest friend, the Normal Totem, abandoned him, and now all he feels is hatred. Both towards Arceus and the natural world, and he wants to shape the world to his will.
in my head-canon every legendary (Bcs FU) and all psychic types (Exept Slowpoke and Slowbro bcs they kinda dumb) can talk either telepathically or verbally.
Yeah, i wasnt a fan of Mystery dungeons voiceacting. I legit got obsessed with searching for the subbed version but i only got japanese version. But i take that over hearing Gengar calling Ekans Arbok.
You said throughout the anime, but you're giving non-canonical movie examples. Chatot is a parrot. It doesn't count. It's just repeating things, not using speech, like Meowth. Telepathy shouldn't count either because the Pokémon are transmitting thoughts, not using speech.
Thank god I am not the only person who noticed this wild inconsistency across the entire series. Some pokemon can talk, some can't, some use telepathy, psychic pokemon can unless they can't, well Meowth learned how to, oh but what about the pokemon who can just speak normally but do not have access to any way to learn, it's all just so confusing.
i mean thats less a theory and more a fact since all animals in pokemon are pokemon, and humans are infact animals, therefore meaning theyd also ve pokemon
I don’t know if you said anything about this in the video since I didn’t watch it fully but, it would’ve been nice to hear the Pokémon talk in the clips rather than just watch and hear the explanation
I loved when ash and Team Rocket's pkmn were on the island talking to each other,I'd watch way more of that
I wish they made more episodes like that. 1 per generation would be fun and something to look forward to.

@@SpiralPolialso Lucario and Cinderace talking would’ve been cool
Hearing Pikachu talk was a goddamn trip.
I loved how everyone reacted to it with disdain lol
I still can't believe that nobody remembers that pokemon could sometimes talk
Another one is Zoroark talking in the BW series after the championship. It disguised itself as Nurse Joy and straight up talked to them.
My obsession with Pokémon Mystery Dungeon made me love the idea of talking Pokémon.
Lucario can also talk in Smash and that's really cool.
Explains why Pikachu is actually smarter than everyone nobody noticed, lol. He is smarter than all of them. And I always expected it. He has no friends enemies personally. Basically. He is just there.
Tbh, ash and the gang is not really a high bar to surpass
Shaymin in the Giratina and the Sky Warrior movie spoke through telepathy.
I think MewTwo will always be my fav talking Pokémon
Lucario will be my favourite
@@kieransmith1801meowth is my favorite
Pikachu is my favorite

If a normal Slowking can talk, why can’t a Galarian Slowking?
Maybe cause of the big thing on his head
Rob Zombie's Halloween made Michael Myers actually speak.
This is a pretty fun recount of the times a mon could talk. But I would have also liked if there was small samples of the voices you are talking about. Like a 3 second clip of the screechy mystery dungeon voices so the audience gets to see what ya mean.
also Darkrai in The Rise of Darkrai, but he doesnt use telepathy, since he isnt a psychic-

2:44 yo this movie was literally. FORGOTTEN ! i thought i was the only one who remembered it
Wasnt there an episode where a bunch of pokemon learned to talk. It was a Hitmonchan and a Machoke talking and fighting each other?
*gasp* the Manaphy movie was probably one of my favorites as a kid,
but tbh the 3rd one was definitely the top
6:25 It's like Ash got hit in the head a little too hard.
I freaked out too.
I would LOVE to hear all Pokemon speak like the ones in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon.
2:00 Movie? It’s an episode.
These new Pokémon remind of of characters from ATHF
Yeah, i wasnt a fan of Mystery dungeons voiceacting. I legit got obsessed with searching for the subbed version but i only got japanese version. But i take that over hearing Gengar calling Ekans Arbok.
I always just assumed Slowking could talk because they're so intelligent.
Very cool video! Hope your channel gets more traffic as the quality is super high and the topics are interesting!

Okay, but you didn't show them talking...

Welcome to “anime logic” lol
Did you hear the theory that humans are evolved Pokémon?
i mean thats less a theory and more a fact since all animals in pokemon are pokemon, and humans are infact animals, therefore meaning theyd also ve pokemon
I like this theory. And it would also explain the episode "Hocus Pokemon", and how Lily was able to turn Ash into a Pikachu.
For Slowking I'm thinking it's the Shelters venom.
The only was left out was the one where zoroark impersonating nurse joy where it was able to do speech
I thought you only had a channel that talks mostly about Halo but no this channel exists... neat!
Naganadel has left the chat
Lapras from jinx and Santa episode
man I've watched your halo videos for a bit of time now but seeing that you're also into pokemon as much as I am big PP my guy keep it up!
How can Slowking Talk. Guess Meowth was wrong he’s not the only one who can talk now.
4:27 is that flowey
When Ash was turned into a Pikachu, he could talk as a Pikachu. :)
What about that time Ash turned into a Pikachu?
Great video, I really hope this channel grows, love your Pokemon vids.
7:03 you got them mixed up
new to the channel so i have to ask...who is we when you say "we decide to count it" LOL? is it a group channel?
Ah! Just my friend Luke and I who work on videos! Thanks for stopping by! :)
Slowking can talk because big brain.
Pokémon talking can be fun and then the writers screw it up
underrated
So we're clear, detective pikachu isn't cannon, as pokemon and isn't cannon in real life either
I don’t think the manaphy movie was dumb
Wait hold up i thought lucario was a legendary🤔🤔 huh?
I don't know why, but for some reason Lucario looks like he could actually talk and it wouldn't be weird.
My best guess would be that because lucario is humanoid, we more closely associate it ourselves, and thus sentient life that can talk
Felt like you dissed/insult most of the moments you listed…. I don’t know just weird vibes unfortunately
The heck are ???
5 or 8 years old???
26
I don’t know if you said anything about this in the video since I didn’t watch it fully but, it would’ve been nice to hear the Pokémon talk in the clips rather than just watch and hear the explanation
u forgot lapras
