Hello, nice dudes! We've decided to watch True Lies, directed by James Cameron and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis! This is Chris' first time watching, while Altaf has seen it once in high school.

Fun fact that rarely gets mentioned: Arnold punched the wrong window. He was supposed to punch a 'movie magic' window that would shatter easily during the transcript scene, but he actually punched one of the real ones. That's one reason Tom Arnold looks so unnerved in that scene, he wasn't entirely acting but was legitimately a little frightened by watching his costar casually backhand a wholeass car window into oblivion.
I miss these kinds of action movies that didn't take themselves super seriously... and were awesome because of that. They knew they were ridiculous and just leaned into it and wore it proudly. Bullet Train is probably the closest anything has come to capturing that recently.
I think that TV show Chuck approached it, and also had the mix of domestic life and spy work.
"Are we gonna die?"
"Yep!"
I'd say that Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead are great because of that.
Action movies that don't take themselves seriously describes like 90% of modern movies. The entire marvel series being the biggest example.
@@vapoet chuck was great, loved how Stone cold was a re-occurring rival for Chuck.
80’s and 90’s movies really out here trying to convince us that this monster of a man chiseled from marble with the THICKEST Austrian accent could just blend into a crowd! I love it
It’s commented under every reaction video of that movie but the helicopter stunt scene was filmed on Jamie Lee Curtis’ birthday and she wanted to do the stunt herself.
She wanted to do something crazy that she could look back at and say “I fucking did that!”, which is amusingly her character’s exact motivation in the movie.
I know!! She really was hanging from a real helicopter!! Wild!!
That was Arnold on the skid holding her as well, but I had thought he'd talked her into doing it, though I could very well be misremembering that part. Also, the guy you can see standing right behind Arnold in a few of the shots is James Cameron himself, as I understand it.
That's awesome, thanks for letting us know, I had no idea!
pretty sure both anrold n jamie during the helicopter grab n lift was done by 2 different stunt person
Jamie Lee Curtis won a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for True Lies, so Hollywood recognized her hilarious performance.
Honestly, this is my favorite Schwarzenegger movie of all time. He gets to show off all his acting chops in action, comedic and dramatic timing (rough as that last one was, he was still better than half the actors out there)! Plus, this was one of Eliza Dushku's (Dana, the daughter) first roles!
And don't get me started on JLC!
It’s a perfect mix of action und comedy.
Kindergarten Cop gets my vote
One thing that people might not have mentioned to you is during the strip tease scene, when Jamie Leigh Curtis falls, Arnold getting out of his chair to go help was on instinct. He honestly at first thought something bad happened to her or that she might have been hurt. Since she got up so quickly and was able to act like it was a planned mistake, Arnold simply sat back down.
Not to mention that scene was incredibly uncomfortable for Arnold because Jamie Lee is literally a friends daughter and she had to talk Arnold into doing it...
@@Gealaiche Arnold was friends with Tony or Janet?
@@vapoet Tony i believe. or so i've been told
Jamie Lee Curtis rehearsed the strip tease scene with James Cameron, during which she fell and got back up quickly. They agreed it would be funny to add it to the scene. So, it was a rehearsed fall.
Her fall during the tango at the end was the unscripted moment.
These two were giggling like schoolgirls through the whole movie yet they cut that scene which was the funniest in the movie.
True Lies is a movie I really love as a french, because it's the american remake of La Totale, a classic french movie. It really was fun to watch as a kid, to see ow you could make the same movie with different actors, more actions (More money XD), enhance the danger / risks etc... plus it had Arnold.
J'ai acheté La Totale par accident il y a 2 ans : la VHS était dans la pochette d'un autre film.
C'était très intéressant de voir le film après en avoir entendu parler si longtemps. C'est probablement le premier remake américain qui est meilleur que l'original français !
A lot of people complain about movies these days being remakes or not having any originality, but it's funny that one of the movies that are considered a classic by many of the same people is in fact a remake. The irony.
@@cosesu8929 I think there is a BIG difference between remakes of older movies for the same market versus remaking an international movie for a domestic market and different sensibilities. Different kettle of fish entirely. Eg The Office or City Of Angels (Wings of desire). The 'James Cameron overreach' with the gun bouncing down the stairs is a direct copy from the original film btw making of the bridge scene: ua-cam.com/video/PcFbgZFRRT4/v-deo.html
This is basically just Jim Cameron doing a Bond flick. Just the right amount of cheese and awesomeness - plus the missile hits on the bridge is one of the best miniature sequences ever filmed IMO
It had the cheese of a Roger Moore Bond flick. The later bonds kept getting more and more serious. By the time you get to Daniel Craig as Bond the movies were entirely lactose free... 😜
They also meshed it very well with the existing location. I recognized 7 Mile Bridge immediately and they used the old bridge to perfection.
Also James Cameron's only comedy movie.
What? They didn't blow up the bridge!? I know know but as a kid I tough that they actually did
Except James Bond movies aren't comedies, and this one is 100% action comedy.
Tom Arnold hit it out of the park in this movie. Whoever cast him...thanks.
When I first saw this movie when it came out, I immediately wanted a Punisher film with Tom Arnold as Micro in the van being The Punisher’s helper. I still say he is what’s missing from all three of the Punisher films and even the TV show.
Totally agree. This movie would have been much less fun without him. He's at least as good in McHale's Navy. If you haven't seen it yet, you really should.
@@jlondon1441 Micro was in Punisher: Warzone. Newman from Seinfeld played him, and he was great!
Tom Arnold is an old pro and this is his schtick, his comedic persona. He gets to push it really far in this.
Lol, you mean that actor from Austin Powers?
There will never in the history of movies be a greater one-liner than "You're fired!"
I dunno man, Stick Around and Blow off some steam Bennet are pretty immortal...
I'll be back, if i think of a better one ;-)
I appreciate you guys appreciating these cheesy corny one liners, blatant stunt double changes, 80s and 90s action movies. Your genuine reactions to everything. Keep it up guys, you’re killing it.
Thank you! We live for all that kind of stuff hahaha
@@NiceDudeMovieNight
LOL! Same here~! Love the work that you guys do.
Also, here's a fun fact for you guys. Most nukes will not detonate unless they've been armed, even IF a grenade were to accidentally go off near it. As a spy, Arnold's character would know that, so it's a subtle in-universe detail there. 😉
It's crazy that Jamie did the limo/helicopter stunt! She is so kick ass
I LOVE the addition of the Harrier Jump jets! So COOL!!
This movie has my favorite line ever "What kind of sick-bitch takes the ice cube trays out of the freezer?".
Thank you for the delivery Tom Arnold!
ditto! I use this line whenever I can.
It makes me a bit uncomfortable though, because as I understand it this comes straight from his stand-up routine, and is something he describes as being a real event that happened in his own divorce. Also: it's not sick, it's just petty -- and his character seems like the kind who would do the same thing himself!
@@Chasmodius - It's probably something that DID happen to him in a divorce, it IS something a "sick bitch" would do (that and a thousand more sick bitch moves just like it), and it's something only the female can get away with doing. It should make everyone uncomfortable that men (especially fathers) are denied their baic rights to equal protection and due process in divorce cases, and that this state of affairs exists and continues because professional politicians don't have the balls to do what's right and stand up to the forces of political correctness.
and now i get a notice my comment isn't appropriate, though they won't tell me which part they disagree with
@@dougearnest7590 I can still see the comment, so I'll respond to parts of it. As I understand it, it is something that came from his actual divorce. But no, it's not a "sick-bitch" move, it's just petty and hurtful, like many things that happen in an acrimonious divorce.
And there's some truth to the idea that divorce courts for the last 30 years or so have tended to heavily favor women in settlements. But compare that with the decades (if not centuries. Not always, but commonly) before that when women had nearly no rights to divorce or protect themselves in a bad marriage, and few rights for financial stability after divorce. That doesn't make either case right, and I think that things are tending towards more equitability in modern divorce, but I'm not very well-researched on that right now (thank goodness).
I was surprised to learn Dana Tasker was played by a young Eliza Dushku. An actress better known as Faith from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She is also Echo / Caroline Farrell on Dollhouse, She-Hulk on Ultimate Spider-Man and Agents of SMASH, and Catwoman in Batman: Year One.
"Suck start a leaf blower" is probably my favorite line in the movie.
It goes downhill the next two lines though 😂
I gotta say: Arnold was the headliner. But Jamie Lee Curtis was absolutely incredible in this film.
This movie is so good. I’ve been watching it since I was a teen girl.
About the stripping scene, it’s like you guys didn’t hear Helen saying she wanted to do something crazy while she was being interrogated. He was trying to help her feel alive again. In the process he found out he married a total bad@ss.
Relax and enjoy. This is back when characters can be characters and the good guys can have flaws and no one took movies too seriously. It was just fun to watch.
Yeah, these two were all antsy about the fact that the bad guys were Arabs. It's sad wat wokeness has done to the film industry. All the fun has gone out of it, and everyone's just trying to cram the same "message" into their films. Yaaawwnn.
@@Mr.Ekshin *what
And she totally wrecks him with the phone a minute later, so it's all good in the end. But yeah, it's not... right. But it shows how he still hasn't learned that he needs to be honest with her.
@@Mr.Ekshin they don't get "antsy" about it, they just mention "oh yeah, remember how in the 90s all the bad guys were Muslim terrorists?" Which is true: with the fall of the Soviet Union, we lost our best source of movie villains, so Hollywood had to fall back on the next most popular stereotype: vaguely Middle Eastern religious fundamentalists. It wasn't until we were well into the "War on Terror" that we started to realize how much we were screwing up our own society by constantly casting brown people as the villains. It turns out that dehumanizing people based on their race, national origin, or religion is a super bad thing to do, and actually un-American. But it makes sense -- it's extremely convenient to use religious fundamentalist as bad guys, because who else is going to be able to rationalize doing things so evil that our heroes have to stop them by any means necessary? It's an easy villain motivation shorthand, but it puts us at risk of demonizing an entire section of our population.
@@Chasmodius - If the villain is an Italian mobster, I don't feel "demonized" even though I'm Italian. I recognize that there's a reason for that portrayal. So why is it that you think Arabs have such thin skin that they can't just acknowledge that there are some in their community that fit that mold? Same with black people... if the bad guys are 'gangsta' types, I'm sure they know that's a portion of their population.
So why is it that white liberals feel they need to ride in like white knights to shelter other people from this kind of thing? It's ridiculous, demeaning... and oddly enough... racist.
Great reaction guys!
One of my favorite Arnold movies because he plays so many roles in it: action hero, super spy, comedic actor, family man, and as over the top ridiculous as it was, it worked perfectly. Tom Arnold was a key component of that working as well as he is just ridiculously funny in this. The point where he asks Faisil to tango at the beginning of the movie always cracks me up. Jamie Lee, Tia Carerre, Eliza Dushku, and Bill Paxton round out an incredible cast. And I bet after the intensity of being Hudson in Aliens something like this role as Simon was a nice change for Paxton. 😀 Back in the days when Cameron was just so good!
those were the actual bridges to the Florida Keys but those were the old ones that had been replaced and the studio basically got to play blow the old bridges up along with the paying for the general clean up. there actually quite a few movies that used older infrastructure that was replaced to be able to blow up but as you also pointed out they also used a good bit of miniatures as well
but alas its not used as much now a day with the rise of CGI
I recognized 7 Mile Bridge instantly, including the old bridge. I believe that, with the exception of the one missile strike on the truck, everything is done on the actual bridge.
It was a combo of all three. The missles were CGI. The bridge is real, and the part with the bridge actually exploding was a miniature. The old bridge already had a gap in it, so the scene with limo going in was real. They just added foam debris to match the miniature explosion.
Yes - you can see the new bridge in the background of some shots.
Bill Paxton...the only man to be killed by a Terminator, Alien, and a Predator. He was so good in this. I miss that dude.
As funny as the scene is, that is still to date the most accurate representation of an actual mini Uzi's recoil and poor design it really is in real life. The thing is super touchy and can fire on its own along with having a huge amount of recoil. It always bug me when I see people one-handing it in movies and tv shows
We had that kid at a Vegas gun range who took off his own head with one due to that very reason. Looks cool but I wouldn't even touch one.
@@vapoet
I remember that. Why they thought a child could handle the recoil was pure insanity. If you’re going to teach your kids to shoot, they don’t need a mini uzi.
that bridge scene was a practical effect. It was an old highway connecting to the Florida Keys (you can see the new highway in the background) so they only had 1 take.
32:50 - This was actually shot with a miniature model. They built the bridge and trucks over a 3 month period. They had only 1 chance to get the scene correct. Amazing how realistic it looked before CGI.
Every line out of Tom Arnold in this movie is gold. You wanna punch him so hard.
The water scene with the fire over top was all practical as well. They had him swim while either a directional explosion was set, or a flame thrower of some sort went off over the water. He said in the behind the scenes thing he still felt the heat on his back from it lol. I wanna say they did a promo thing with the Harrier jet. Either a promo, or they were talking about how they had an actual Harrier on set. I can't remember exactly, but as you can tell from my comments, HBO used to do awesome behind the scenes shows that showed the special effects of movies.
The boss with the eye patch is the legendary Charlton Heston. He starred in the original Planet of the Apes and was Moses in The Ten Commandments. I got his autograph at our local library's movie society night. He is very gracious to his fans.
I too have a crush on Jamie Lee and I'm a straight girl. This and A Fish Called Wanda are to me her sexiest performances.
I'd like to see you guys reaction to Conan the Barbarian for another spin on Arnold's career. Love him so much he has his own shelf in my DVD collection.
Thanks for another fun one y'all. ❤️❤️
True Lies and The Rock are just perfect action movies, I really miss movies like these being made!
The Rock is such a blast! Have you seen Con Air? Those two would make a great double feature lol
I do have another action double feature for you, as well.
-Broken Arrow
-Face off
Yes. A good ol' fashion, "Let's blow s*** up" action movie. Gotta love it.
@@marcomania5404YES I so want them to see Face Off 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is a great movie! The part where Arnold hits the car window, the window was not supposed to break. That was an accident that they kept in along with Tom Arnold's reaction to it.
This was like the action movie version of Galaxy Quest. It's a loving satire of the genre with a lot of heart.
They both fully commit to the genre too!
Jamie Leigh Curtis actually did the helicopter scene because she wanted to do it. I love the fact that she wanted to do it to make the movie more accurate, but I think she just did it for the fun of it. LOL
This was a hilarious reaction, and I hope there are more to come! You both really need to do the reactions on older movies more like Clue starring Tim Curry! Maybe more Godzilla films, Or Superman Starring Christopher Reeves(If you two haven't seen those yet)... Keep it up!
*COLUMBO... COLUMBO!!!! yOU cAnnOt eSCaPE hIm...*
Did anyone else recognize Eliza Dushku? She plays the daughter here and plays as Faith in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Love Her!
As a german native, I remember watching this with german dub as a teen before I went and studied english at school. Then, as my english skills were decent enough, I went and rewatched it again and finally got to appreciate the oneliners and the comedy in general way more. Arnold will always be unbeaten in oneliner delivery.
True Lies is an 80s action/comedy movie made for a big budget by a massively talented action director in the 90s. It is what 80s action/comedy movies wanted to be when they grew up.
I saw this in the theater when it came out, not because I was interested in seeing it but because I worked in a group home and the residents wanted to go so I took them. I was surprised how much I loved it.
That opening sequence is absolutely iconic. Also, Tom Arnold kills every single scene he is in. This movie is one of Cameron's best. I put it up with Aliens and Terminator 2. And it's one of Arnold's best as well, which is saying something because for as corny as many of his films can be, they always manage to be just a hell of a fun ride. NO ONE does a one liner like Arnold.
My favorite moment of this film was probably watching the horse run toward the edge of the building, and me thinking there's no way a horse would do that. Horses aren't that stupid.
Then having the most realistic outcome.
Its funny you recognize everyone except Charlton Heston who was as old as silent films.
Charlton Heston is basically playing the original comic book version of Nick Fury, and he nails it.
That scene with the two dogs was the hardest I’ve ever laughed in a long time
This is my favorite action film of all time. I'm surprised it's not more known.
I like to watch this after Last Action Hero as a double feature when I want some 90's cheeseburger action. It always makes for a good ponder and time of reminiscence...
Happy 30th anniversary to True Lies!
We all had a crush on Jamie Lee Curtis after that scene.
Arnold is a fantastic comedian, & Tom & Bill stole the show. Classic.
Can't beat the 80's and 90's action movies 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Glad you guys watched this one! True Lies is definitely top 5 Arnold of all time!
Netflix is making a reboot series of sorts called Utap, but they got Schwarzenegger for the lead, and Tom Arnold is even in it! I can't wait for it to come out!
There's a reason Jamie Lee Curtis was known as "The Body" in Hollywood!
"I can't tell if she's scared or horny" pretty much sums up every date I've been on 🤣
If you haven't seen it, you should check out Arnie's self-parody, "The Last Action Hero". It's loads of fun and a brilliant deconstruction of the type of movies he normally makes.
That movie is SO underrated. Charles Dance kills it as the self aware villain
32:55
Actually no, they blew up real bridge, just like when in Terminator 2 real helicopter flew under the bridge. Thats James Cameron for you 😃
One of the last truly great action films of the past 30 years, without question.
A lovely piece of work by Cameron.
It was a remake of an french film called La Totale!, released the same year as T2.
Not your average genre film and it most definitely works on all levels.
TL is exactly what it's suppose to be.
Hardcore Spy Comedy where the laughs and blasts are on the same level.
Perfect combinations.
Arnold personally wanted Jamie Lee Curtis at top billing as the lead actress.
Because her character meant as much to the story as her husband's did.
The studio definitely changed their tune and were wrong about putting her name under the title's name.
The late Bill Paxton as Simon the fake (3rd film with Cameron as well).
What a performance.
Prior to this film, Cameron was originally involved with Spider-Man and X-Men becoming films
which had the industry losing their minds.
Also the late, great Charlton Heston resembling classic Nick Fury as boss of The Omega Sector
was out of Cameron's fandom for Marvel.
Other than that, it was great to see Cameron and Arnold working together again.
The actress who played Arnold's daughter, went on to play a MASSIVE hottie in "The New Guy" and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back".
One of my favorite action movies of all time! Even had it on Laserdisc (predecessor to DVD) and must have seen it 50 times or so :D
My favourite action movie, favourite Arnold movie, everything perfect! Loving it and coming back from time to time...
And running time was just spot on - leaving you satisfied, yet not bored or tired 😎 For a movie that long it was a really great achievement!
LOVE THIS MOVIE!
Jamie Lee Curtis took the Golden Globe for Best Actress, Musical Or Comedy.
My favorite scene is the Horseback/Motorcycle Chase. One minute it's a spy film, then it turns into Indiana Jones!
There were talks of a Sequel to the movie, but it was cancelled due to the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks.
However, it's been confirmed that a TV series based on the movie is set for release on CBS Wednesday March 1st.
9/11 showed us what *really* happens when you fly a plane into a skyscraper.
i cant wait for you guys to watch Superman: The Movie. that was my favorite movie growing up as a kid
Yeah, they filmed that shot where they blew up the causeway by actually blowing up the causeway. The replacement had already been completed and it was scheduled to be demolished, and Cameron secured the rights to blow it up for his movie.
It’s a French movie (la Totale).
An other remake of a French film by Hollywood...
Watching you watch these takes me back to when I saw them for the first time. I feel like I’m there and that’s awesome. Keep it up guys!
I recently found your channel and I love seeing peoples reactions to movies I loved as a kid, especially Ghostbusters. Keep up the great work!.
"Neither of us have seen"
0:07 "I haven't seen True Lies since highschool..."
🤔
I have watched this like high double figures times. Never gets old and you keep spotting new things on rewatches.
As always, it's such a pleasure for me and the missus to share some time with you guys.
As usual, I'm once again going to implore you to react to the sadly neglected and hugely influential buddy cop movie from the 70s 'Freebie and the Bean' 🙄
"14 years in the van. Just once, I'd like to get out of the van...."
Two interesting things about the stunts in this, it WAS Jamie Lee Curtis in the car/chopper bridge sequence including hanging under the chopper. And Arnold was indeed underwater with the fire on the surface.
James Cameron is the one Director that says "JUMP" and Arnold says "How high?!"
and if you notice, the scene where Arnold's character is holding Curtis' character by the hand and arm from the helicopter, you see someone else standing on Arnold's foot keeping him from slipping off
Great video guys. Fun fact: at the time of its release, this was the highest budget film ever made. It was beaten only a year or so later by Titanic.
i forgot how much i loved this movie... the nostalgia hit on this was excellent.
Surprised you missed the easter egg at the start;-) They work for Omega Sector. A sly nod to Heston's Omega Man film ;-)
So fun fact, i was a kid growing up in the keys when they shot this, the bridge scene, wasnt miniatures. It was the old 7 mile bridge in Marthon, Florida, specifically in the keys. It was all real, we watched it. Ive been going through your guys log and laughing my ass off. but yeah, it was an actual bridge they blew up. keep up the show guys
Literally one of my favourite movies.cant wait for the 4k this year. Great video, thanks guys
My favorite Arnold name has to be "Uncle Bob" in Terminator 2!
A classic 😂
When you think back to this movie after a couple years is easy to forget how really good the action is. You just remember there were spies, some action, and comedy.
This is the perfect moving for me. Perfect blend of action, comedy, and campiness. Love it
Normally, I absolutely hate 'action' movies - shallow and derivative orgies of violence - but, it's always fun to watch you two enjoy the hell out of a movie.
The rivalry between Arnold & Sylvester was the reason they added the "I married Rambo" joke.
11:25 - This scene was actually filmed in the "Westin Bonaventure Hotel" in downtown Los Angeles. I found it by accident while traveling to CA. We randomly picked a hotel downtown and I immediately recognized the lobby. I even rode up in the hotel where Arnold rode up with his horse. They filmed like 5 films here including "Interstellar".
Anyway thanks for a great reaction to ony of my all time favorite films!!! I've probably watched this movie a dozen times.
LOVE how much you guys enjoyed this movie. It's one of my favorites. 💜
The action scenes are on a whole new scale of amazing when you consider that most of it was done practically. People always talk about the miniature scene with the missiles on the bridge, and yes, that scene was amazing, but can we recognize how amazing the scene before that was, when the Harrier strafes the truck with its guns? All of that was done with squibs and a REAL Harrier being flown by the US Marines. So they had to have the Marine pilot fly the Harrier in exactly the right place, the camera helicopter be at the perfect angle, the truck passing at exactly the right place, and the squibs all going off at exactly the right time so that it looks like the Harrier was shooting its gun down onto the bridge. It was all done in-camera, not even a composite shot. So if that Harrier was flying at the wrong angle, the shot would be ruined. If the Harrier was flying too slow, it would have been ruined. If the chase helicopter with the camera wasn't in the right place and speed, it would have been ruined. If that truck wasn't in the right place, it would have been ruined. If the squibs didn't go off in the right timing, it would have been ruined. Like literally so many things could have gone wrong since that sequence was done in-camera.
I like how they "hang a lamp shade" on a lamp pole lol
Arnold strangest name in a movie was from one of his first movies The Villain aka Cactus Jack). It was a comedy western and he was just called Handsome Stranger.
when videogame npcs use your name in their dialogue.
Ought to mention that it is essentially a live action Roadrunner cartoon.
I _love_ this movie! This is one of my favorite films of all time.
And it's not a weird film! It's extremely well paced, cast, acted, and exploded!
The bridge scene was real. It was the old US 1 in the Florida keys. They really blew it up!
All except the Missile strike. The original plan was to build that section of bridge back and then blow it up, but the cost... You could guess the cost. So that one moment was miniature, about 3 seconds of the entire scene.
"Themed geography with his action." Never noticed that before, so thanks.
You guys are F'in awesome. If I wanted friends I'd choose you.
The fun thing about Tom Arnold's character in this movie is that he makes a lot of sense when you remember that Tom Arnold was married to Roseanne Barr.
30:38 While it probably wouldn't go down exactly like that, you probably could discharge a MAC-10 by dropping it because it fires from an open bolt. Open bolt guns are notorious for accidental discharges in untrained hands because they fire as soon as the bolt closes, and bumping it hard enough will jar the bolt and let the spring slam it home.
Lastly, while there are many wonderful Arnold one-liners, "You're fired" is probably my absolute favorite.
Charlton Heston is basically playing classic Nick Fury. 😂
I'm 100 percent sure that was exactly what James had in mind.
I really enjoy the fact that the most watched part isn't actually Jamie Lee Curtis, it's a beautiful pelican.
Fun fact- in the opening, Arnold was wearing what’s called a dry suit for diving. If he’d if worn a wetsuit, his tux would have been soaked. Really expensive gear to toss aside. I shed a tear.
The scene where Harry saves Helen from the limo was shot practically with no stunt doubles. That was Jamie Lee Curtis and Arnold Schwarzenegger dangling from a helicopter over the Florida Keys. When the Oscars came out, Jamie Lee Curtis was presenting an award and entered the stage dangling from a wire calling back to that scene.
Arnold pulling agent 47 stunts by blending in.
The guy driving the truck-camper is Tom Arnold

Well, she was Mike Myers's girlfriend in *Wayne's World,* so... pretty close.
IT'S ALL IN THE SAME UNIVERSE! 🤯
@@NiceDudeMovieNight
Sure! When she become evil, Wayne become a spy in way to find her, but she dies here and he lose faith in love, travels back in time and change his name in Austin Danger Power.
Everything makes sense, now.
Helen:" I married Rambo!"
Me:" No Love, you married the Terminator!" 🤣🤣🤣
The fact this is a remake of a french film called La total ! THAT blew my mind i never see the original as a french dude .
I love this movie !
8:40 I just realized that the second hitman is wearing a similar jacket to the one that Arnold wears as the T800 in the early scenes of Terminator. RIP Bill Paxton, one of the funniest action movie method actors.
Not just the Sly/Arnold rivalry. James Cameron was Sly's co-writer for Rambo II
