- Jared Taibi grew up in a Christian home, but his childhood and teenage years were not without painful events and mistakes. Haunted by his wounds and insecurities, he sought pain relief through pleasure, weight lifting, drinking, and partying. Nothing he tried provided long term relief so Jared threw himself into body building and soon it had completely taken over his life. The life raft he ran to was sinking and he was slowly being dragged deeper and deeper into physical, mental, and emotional darkness. He knew God was there, but he had seen others that God didn't come through for, so he refused to ask Him for help. When his marriage began falling apart, suicide began tempting him as the ultimate method of pain relief. At the very bottom of the pit he had dug for himself, God truly was the only one who could help Jared now. But what if it was too late? What if he didn't have enough strength left to stand up and reach out for His hand?

God restored my marriage a couple of months after being married I was ready to walk away. So one day, God asked me whether I loved him and I said yes I do Lord, and He responded by asking me to trust Him with my marriage. It was hard but I did, 12 years later my marriage has been transformed 500%. Without God we would not have made it.

God HATES divorce! His word is true. God can change the unbelieving spouse! God's will is to restore and reconcile...that is who God is. You say anything is possible for the one who believes... God can change the heart of any man. I am a walking testimony! Please don't EVER give up on a spouse. God can use anything for His purpose and glory. Amen. No one should give up on their spouse. My husband of 34 years left me for a strange woman. His reason is because I became a follower of Jesus. I love him with Agape love. This kind of love is supernatural and makes you realize that this stand is not about us but about God the main one we made a vow to and our mates who need to be restored back to their Maker. Peoples hearts get so hardened because of what’s being done to them but I say, what can you do to a dead person. NOTHING. We do need miracles and we’re getting them because our God is a God of restoration. We cannot go by what we see, our sweethearts are in trouble, we cannot give up on them. People who say who marry automatically infer that's the person God intended. Scripture say, "What God has ordained, let no man separate..." What MOST people not do, is pray/meditate for God to send someone that He ordains. We marry someone on the whim and see destruction. I prayed and married someone. God sent me signs not to marry that person. I was young and operating on hormones. I ignored His signs. My marriage ended after 7 years. It was the worst time of my life.
Me too. I didn't have a relationship with God when I was young. Married twice and treated marriage like something you can end when you think there's something better. I regret that and have asked for forgiveness.

Yea, I jumped in marriage. Met online 11/ 23 , met in person a week later, married 1/13. I remember telling him " God is so happy with us right now " on the way home from the courthouse where we married. No, I was happy that we wouldn't be living in sin it wasn't God's will ! Boy was I stupid ; )

I am going through this right now! My Heavenly Father sent the Holy Ghost five months ago to tell me that His way was to put an end to the abusive marriage I was in. Separated now, on a faith based healing journey and believing that He has a beautiful plan for me.
I did the same thing you did. This hits home with me . The difference is I was married to a narcisist but didn't know it at them time. My marriage was horrible and I was told it was all my fault by my then husband. He was a wolf in sheep clothing. At the time I wanted the marriage to work so bad I prayed for God to restore it. It's what God would want ! No... The marriage ended and I slowly figured out he was a covert narcissist . God slowly revealed to me why He wanted me out of that marriage . I was being mentally abused and didn't even know it! Jesus became all I had and just what I needed. I leaned on him and followed closely. Withing 6 months I started coming around. Two years later today I am my best ever. No hurt . That peace and joy .it is incredible ! I'm smiling hearing this bc I started laughing out loud out of the blue! Thank you for this reminded. Dont forget that time and stay close to the Lord ! I saw that same video u mentioned.
Wow! I have pretty much a similar story! Hung in there for 20 years, not realising that it could not go anywhere, and then had to make the painful decision to go! Still fighting to get my share of the financial assets for 3 years now!

Covert narcissist people (like this guy in the video showed signs of narcissism in his earlier life) is the consequence of deep childhood wounds, and I think they also deserve to be saved by God.

Unfortunately not all will be saved, because recieving Christ and salvation is a matter of choice and some will make the choice NOT to be saved. Remember the two thieves at the cross? Ever wondered why Jesus did not take the opportunity to preach to the 2nd thief "one last time"? Or try to convince him that indeed he was the Mesiah? Narcissists KNOW that what they do is wrong but they do it anyway. They constantly fight the prompting to self reflect as they are afraid to face the negative aspects of their character (because that inspires feelings of shame). God can still reach out to them, but you can't stay in a marriage where you are trying to reveal Christ to someone who hates that you have Christ in you! I have been married to a Covert Narcissist for 5 years. We couldn't even pray together as he had a way of mocking the way I expressed myself before God. I couldn't worship in church standing next to him cause he kept poking me on the side to see who was dancing like what... or which friend of his was seated where that I needed to meet after the service. When we moved to a town without a Christian fellowship he refused to spend money for an air bnb so we could attend church in the nearby town once a month. When I asked him if we could try discover our calling as a couple in the body of Christ he resisted having the conversation. After days of bringing it up he yelled, "If you don't know what your purpose is don't bother me!" I later learned that narcissists do not appreciate conversations that seem to interrogate their worth/usefulness.
Separated now for 7 months and trying to finalize a divorce that he won't even give me as much as I am asking for Absolutely Nothing save for me freedom!
Please pray for my marriage. We seperated and on the verge of divorce. Feels so wrong and what fell apart can be rebuilt but I need you to enter her heart Lord. I have faith that you hear my prays. In Jesus name I pray this for all who seek reconciliation. 🙏

Eventhough i prayed, fasted, changed my ways, prayed with churches and people in church, and God didnt fix my first marriage, but he did gave me another chance to have another husband and have family now

there are about 4 reasons for divorce
1. Violence (does marriage come before being killed in marriage)
2. Unfaithfulness (is catching diseases and shortening life God's will - have you ever stopped to contemplate that someones husband is secretly and/or actively gay? Let God handle peoples lives)
Not sure what you mean fornication the bible talks of marital unfaithfulness is a pathway to divorce
3. Mental Illness
4. If the unbelieving spouse leaves of their own accord
5. Death
You are free of all the above. ONLY God knows each individual situation.
Not every marriage comes from God - be ok when letting it go.
Lastly - blanket statements are ignorant of the fact that billions of people equals billions of cases - let God do His work please.
i also cried ALL the way to work ..and ALL the way home...for 3years.....until the penny DROPPED ...that I was RESCUED out of that Hellish marriage, by THE ALMIGHTY GOD..and that I ought to be REJOICING from the rooftops. Myself and my 4yr old twins get by, on DIVINE PROVISION from God Almighty.

That's how Christianity works. When you surrender all to Him who gave His life for us. It took me years to do what you did. But oh what joy to live in total submission to the Savior. This resonate with me. This morning as I was walking, I asked God for guidance and then right out of my lips a message came, it was like if I was talking to my self, but soon I noticed these words were from the Holy Spirit.
He said: Jesus is like the road you are walking on, He is the path, the way to God. He is a road, the speed way to God. You only need to trust Him, walk on Him and He will take you were you need to go. I know the road is invisible to your eyes, but if you trust Him, you’re on the road.

I was in the middle of my own storm, dealing with my ex's decision to leave when I also stumble on one of Michael's messages without making any specific changes. I can relate to you brother. When I married my ex husband, I was a backsliding practicing Muslim (by own standards) just like him. When I decided to become Christian, that's when his threats to walk out on the marriage started. In the finish, he filed for the divorce.

My husband adultererd with multiple women. Yet I was willing to forgive him. He been asking divorce, I stood with him in his lowest paid bills to be a pilot. When he got the job he cheated and he wanted me to get out from his life. I been praying for this situation. If you can’t lay down your life for your spouse, don’t get married and ruin future lives of your spouse, children, and extend families. Be obedient to the Word of God not your flesh. The Lord is capable of doing the IMPOSSIBLE. You let Him. And you do the possible. Love is God. Love is FORGIVENESS.
Hey ive been following Michael since 2011. I went through alot in my marriage, we were at the same point as you were. I turned to god and she wasn't willing. Its amazing to hear your story. I feel and have felt the same way.. i literally had the same exact experiences the panic attacks, the night terrors, ending it, thinking i was gonna die everyday.. it's crazy how good God truly is. I truly believe that marriage is until death and nothing is impossible...you may have to pray, like one commenter for 12 years more or less. but don´t give up ! Your wife or husband may come to the Lord and then want to restore the marriage. Is it possible that he/she will never come to the Lord ? We don´t know... so Please know that God is loving both of you through all of this and sometimes the one that is not following God needs someone to fight for them.. Really, the enemy will give you all kinds of loopholes and excuses and disappointments and what looks impossible...BUT GOD. 😃
I am so blessed to have come across this video. I am in the middle of a separation from my wife of 20 years. She has decided that she no longer wants to identify as a wife and mother and wants her freedom, space, and indepence. I am praying for God to save my marriage, but at this point I have released her completed to Him and all will proceed according to His soverign will.

Yes I have a similar story. I prayed and prayed for God to restore my marriage it never happened I am going through divorce. Yes I went through alot of suffering and god does not want you unequally yoked and also he hates unhappy and abuse marriages. If your spouse is unfaithful you can divorce it's in the bible. I too am at peace since we separated. I have a beautiful relationship with God.
I went through the same thing. Yes I understand this totally 💯. Hurts but sometimes you have to move on. All we can do is keep trusting God and moving forward. God bless.

Not what I dreamed of and desired but I’m learning how to be independent and the most important thing...is how to trust God with everything...Hang in there, don’t just jump into another relationship until you heal and realize you’re complete on your own! Yes brother yes indeed every pain if it's from God.. It's not to harm you rather it's for your own benefit.. I understand your pain if your earlier life was misery than truly God saw your pain..god say i am closer to heart broken..Our thoughts are very minor than God thoughts... God knows us better than our parents and even better than ourself.. Remember one thing God does not give you what is good for you he gives you what is best.. God doesn't settle on little things he give generously when we ask our father something... With all heartly am happy for you.. Praise the lord

God honours any covenant we make with him. He is a God of integrity. That is why we have to be careful who we get married to. Divorce is an option, yes but is remarriage an option if your covenant spouse is still alive?

First time ever I am hearing this, a husband praying for wife, and yes even in my life, I am praying for my husband heart to melt and come back, waiting with heavy heart from past 6 years, day pops up saying that your job is done, God sent your husband, and immediately, he moves away, my marriage problem is a very unique and unanswered even after years, married 11 years ago but still my husband is a stranger to me, I don't know him completely and we have a child, and never I wanted to give up on marriage, hoping and praying God that, I will come back to the video saying n testifying God that my marriage is saved and restored in Lord Jesus. Wish my husband could pray for my marriage like this.

Trust that you will get answers in the area of marriage, “for everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened” Matt. 7:8. I could not see how God was using that situation in my life and what was to come. Faith is always this way, where we have no sight through the situation, yet we see God! Keep looking for Him and He will work it all for Good. He has done it for me and He will for you if you trust and obey Him. Rom. 8:28
Well my marriage wasn’t meant too be . So my “wife” told me so was seeing another man 2 weeks ago . I have to get go . It’s me and god now . Sorry to share my story. I found so much Support with my church and fellow brothers in mens group . Thanks Jared for this video

Hey Jared, thank you so much for sharing your testimony. Your humility is a real glory to our precious Father. After almost 26 years together and three teenaged children, my husband left me in August 2019. He didn't want a relationship with God as much as I did. I too prayed for restoration - whatever it took. I too found Michael Chriswell's videos. I have found his and your testimonies a real comfort and challenge to trust and obey.
Our amazing Father is clearly showing me that my marriage is going to end in divorce. My ex has moved in with his new girlfriend. Is being disrespectful to me and confrontational. I'm seeing the signs of God running off my unbelieving spouse and after listening to you both, I'm starting to be okay with it. I now say to Father, whatever Your will is for my life let Your will be done. Do whatever it takes to get me and my children to heaven. I even pray for my soon to be ex-husband and his girlfriend. to repent and turn to Jesus Christ before it's too late. Praise God for His grace in my heart for my situation. To Him be all the Glory. I don't usually read or respond to any of these things. I also am a wife married for 26 years... With 7 children. My oldest 24 and my youngest 14.... I am not trying to give you "false" hope but DO NOT GIVE UP! Please?!.... I WANT TO GIVE UP ... and for some this is the their truth. I don't feel it is your message of truth... It's up to you if you choose to stand. No one else can do it for you but I'll pray for your strength to make it through no matter how long it takes or what you go through. It was intended for you to not give up on your marriage. I'm not sure why I'm telling you that as I'm not sure of your situation. However, I am certain that this specific word is for you. Jesus loves us so much that sometimes He allowed the pain so we will seek him in desperation and yes die to ourselves!!
I don’t believe divorce is the answer. Mater of fact, unless adultery has been committed, you can’t divorce. If you do separate, you must remain single.

I went through similar and I stumbled upon same sermons and thought it was Biblical but I started seeking GOD and HIS WORD WISDOM AND GUIDANCE and HE showed me GOD HATES and JESUS forbids divorce accept when sexual immorality was committed. And even then forgiveness and working on the marriage is first option.
I have been seperated for 5 years but continue in prayer.
GOD could have saved your marriage and would have as GOD cannot go against HIS own WORD.

@@kimberlyjennings618 Because the unbelieving spouse who is leading a life that puts worldly and fleshly sin at the forefront, instead of prioritising God, will eventually also drag the other person (soul) down with them. Both husband and wife have to be equally yoked, and the glue is the love and forgiveness and blessings that God provides for that relationship or marriage through loving God with all one's heart, mind and all thy might; whilst simultaneously believing (and putting into practice) the teachings of Jesus Christ.
