One of the BEST movies of ALL TIME!! I have to watch it every time it’s on. RIP Swayze! We miss you my man. I’m glad we can still watch all your great work on screen still
Was about to make the same comment. Every time it's on I faithfully watch it, although lately they're showing the remake more often than this original which is superior in every way over the remake. RIP Patrick aka Bodhi.
PB came out when I was a freshman in HS. I've seriously watched this film about 100 times in my life so far. I wouldn't even entertain watching the remake. Utah, get me two!
Just bought a copy for my mum 'cause she saw it for the first time the other day on TV and was freaking out. Never would have imagined in a million years that it'd be something she'd dig!
Its hard to believe that 1) Patrick Swayze was 39 when he made this movie. 2) Someone as vital, strong and healthy could be dead just 18 years later. He looks like he will live to 125 in this movie. Life is fragile...
I had never seen a car chase scene that was this dynamic in a movie. The way it was filmed, showing how it all played out, was riveting. Even the foot chase scene right after had its own appeal. Kathryn Bigalow gets an A+++ for her vision, and the way she directed these scenes. I saw this with my brother in 1991, when this movie came out. We were both impressed.
It’s Bodhisattva. A Buddhist term for one who has freed themselves from the material world but chooses to reincarnate here again anyway to help others do the same.
That was a good foot Chase. I'm not going to lie that scene single handedly got me in to running when i first saw this movie as a kid. I started hiking and playing basketball after this and running fast hard and long was my s**t. I got really good sports because of this scene!? It's crazy !?
the only two movies EVERYONE should see: Point Break & Road House. Why? cuz Swayze. These two movies with Swayze in what i'd describe as essentally the same role/character, a spiritual, well-worn soul, navigating life's obstacles with the ease of a zen master. RIP GOAT SWAYZE. ..
One of the best action films ever, they don't and can't make em like this any more... and bigelow created such an ambient feel also, with a beautiful contrast between high, intense action and a serene, almost zen like vibe - depicting the contrast between Utah's world and Bodhi's...
They did such a good job with the skydiving sequences that I always thought it was 100% real because I remembered hearing that Patrick Swayze was a real life skydiver and just assumed they did it for the movie with camera jumpers. That tells you how good they were at spoofing it.
Point Break Ghost Dirty Dancing RoadHouse The Outsiders Youngblood Red Dawn Next of Kin City of Joy Swayze definitely did movies that will always be remembered. 👍🏼
I love Point Break! Kathryn Ann Bigelow has been very lucky to have these opportunities. She is a very good director but these opportunities are only possible perhaps in the USA
Im glad they didnt have all the computer crap they have today in this movie. Thats one of the reasons why this movie is legendary because no excessive computer garbage taking the original natural talent and skill away.
Keanu is absolutely charmed. His acting is not great but he manages to land roles in movies where the blandness of his characters fit in with the story perfectly.
It's one of those movies that stick in your mind, and you mind transforms it in something else. For me at least. For example, it's 91, when I was 11 Y/O, so it reminds me of that time, the summer, the beach and just think about being on a beach, instantly reminds me of these characters. I am sure that there was a before and an after this movie, of how popular was parachuting diving.
Man I watched the new one the other day, and while it's entertaining and has some cool stunts it just completely missed it on soooo many levels for what the original is
I went to watched this movie with my sister. A week later I heard that not many people like this movie. They thought it was stupid. I like this movie but it’s funny the way that movie is performed. When Johnny Utah went for his job interview the man told him “We sure don’t drink and he’ll we sure don’t smoke”. Then Utah and his partner Angelo in the office drank alcohol.
Great Movie ! I had the pleasure of seeing part of the car chase scene In the Fox hills mall . I was like 10 years old , my mom and I were coming out and this guy with a walkie talkie Rushed us in between the cars in the parking lot. and then we see the red car jamming past us with a movie rig with cameras following behind. saw the presidents and the bullet holes in the car. was later when the movie came out that I was like Whoa lol no punt intended. 🤘🤘
It’s funny how this movie inspired Scott “Hollywood Bandit” Scurlock to become a bank robber, but quickly found out that rubber ex president masks are completely impractical.
This movie changes everything in the way action movies are just real things no computer effects i Guess the budget was low thats proves that a good story, actors and directing are the key, now you see action movies full of computer efects
Wow, what an amazing film. "Amazing, fucking amazing" kiedis is great in it too. Point break the remake??? As kiedis would say "that would be a waste of time"
One of the BEST movies of ALL TIME!! I have to watch it every time it’s on. RIP Swayze! We miss you my man. I’m glad we can still watch all your great work on screen still
Yep one of my favorites SCREW the remake one.
Yes the remake SUCKS
Was about to make the same comment. Every time it's on I faithfully watch it, although lately they're showing the remake more often than this original which is superior in every way over the remake. RIP Patrick aka Bodhi.
There was a time when I could do the complete movie dialog while watching
Same.

Its hard to believe that 1) Patrick Swayze was 39 when he made this movie. 2) Someone as vital, strong and healthy could be dead just 18 years later. He looks like he will live to 125 in this movie. Life is fragile...
@@zefdin101 He was 39?! I wasn't that ripped at my physical peak (15).
I skipped school to go see it when it first came out in the theater....had to see Patrick and Keanu together...love this movie!!!
You should watch Youngblood, also has Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves, just Keanu doesnt play as big of role
Definitely one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time
"..We remind them the human spirit is still Alive" .. words I still live by , thanks Bodie
Man i never get tired of watching this movie......never!!!

I saw this with my brother in 1991, when this movie came out. We were both impressed.
Was able to find the score today for the 1st time by Mark Isham. Absolutely gorgeous sounding.
Where did u find it???
RIP Patrick. Still miss you.
In my top 5 movies of all time, ever! I never miss it when it's on tv and watch scenes on UA-cam all the time. Loved it since I was a kid 👍
An awesome and iconic movie. This movie and all the guys in it are the very definition of "cool"
For sure all the actors in that movie had amazing on screen chemistry. That’s what really makes the movie
Bodie, the best character ever...
Agree
Went Skydiving for my birthday and made the family watch point break with me on my birthday too. Everyone loved it.
This movie made me start surfing back in the late 90s
This movie go me in to running and i got really good at sports because i wanted to run swazy in that black suit and president mask.
This movie made me bungee jump and sky diving
Best movie created👌🏻 I’m still watching it👍🏻as a matter of fact I’m gonna watch it tomorrow.
“That’s Bodie, they call him the Bodazafa, he’s a true seeker.”.. This movie is exactly why I named my dog Bodie. Lol. True story
Buddahstavva🤦♀️
Was your dog Bodie a
Doberman????
Bodhisattva
To all those dogs inching along the sidewalk in their collared leashes, Your Dog Bodhi shows them that the Canine Spirit is still Alive.
It’s Bodhisattva. A Buddhist term for one who has freed themselves from the material world but chooses to reincarnate here again anyway to help others do the same.
Best movie of my childhood!
"Fear causes hesitation, and hesitation causes your worst fear to become a reality"
Legendary! Just the best ever!
That was a good foot Chase. I'm not going to lie that scene single handedly got me in to running when i first saw this movie as a kid. I started hiking and playing basketball after this and running fast hard and long was my s**t. I got really good sports because of this scene!? It's crazy !?
One of my favorite movies. 😊
I love behind the scenes
I smiled every time Patrick talked.

Utah!!!…Get me Two!! ✌️
Watching this movie gave me so much adrenaline that I couldn't sleep that night. Amazing.
They did such a good job with the skydiving sequences that I always thought it was 100% real because I remembered hearing that Patrick Swayze was a real life skydiver and just assumed they did it for the movie with camera jumpers. That tells you how good they were at spoofing it.
One of my favorites, I never get tired of watching it.
Gonna have to watch it again this weekend. It's been too long. Brilliant brilliant film and definitely in my top 5 favourites of all time.

Swayze definitely did movies that will always be remembered. 👍🏼

Keanu is absolutely charmed. His acting is not great but he manages to land roles in movies where the blandness of his characters fit in with the story perfectly.
BEST Movie ever
Classic film Reeves and Swayze are great 😅
It's about us against the system. I love that!
It’s because it’s true and back then you could include truth in a story and not have the executives shit their pants over their greedy pockets.
Just watched it for the umpteenth time. Great movie.
One of my favorite movies
Masterpiece summer movie, period.
Still one of my favs with one hot actor Keanu👏👏👏💥😍 most handsome ever fo ever! It is what it is❤
Such a shame that Hollywood has no idea anymore how to make these great movies..

It's one of those movies that stick in your mind, and you mind transforms it in something else. For me at least.

The best movie
This is one of my absolute favorite movies but Patrick Swayze does nothing for me; the star is Keanu Reeves!
If you have watched the sequel, you're not worth anything.
John Wick and Dalton from Roadhouse.
Man I watched the new one the other day, and while it's entertaining and has some cool stunts it just completely missed it on soooo many levels for what the original is

Patrick süper aktor
Esta es la película por la que Tony llama punto de quiebre a Thor.
Big got her Oscar later.
Wow, what an amazing film. "Amazing, fucking amazing" kiedis is great in it too. Point break the remake??? As kiedis would say "that would be a waste of time"
Patrick Swayze turned down the remark of Dirty Dancing for the same reason, stop repeating what should be valued as unique and inspiring. It’s art.
Remake** of dirty dancing I mean
180 mile winds?, " YA DOING GOOD?", Hollyweird?.
Did he just say "individuated"?
