We got 988k we drive daily I agree with alot of comments about the seats if you riding in it for 12hours a day and you cant stop to stretch it sucks but we got the cooled and heated package and it's awesome
Nice little wheel loader there!!
I've been a heavy equipment operator for 15 years boy I'd like to work there
Je suis gabonais conducteur d'engins sur pneus et je suis le plus grand admirateur de ces engins.
Diesel and dust, it's in the blood. Damn fine piece of kit
la verdad hermosa máquina cheee!!! cat lo más grande
Imagine having one of these during the apocalypse.
King of Roses it would make a good mobile fortress..
Honestly, the last person I'm going to trust in a loader is a dude wearing a hardhat and safety glasses INSIDE a loader.
Lol i hear you. I was working a recover job on a railway last year. Lifting a train car and rotating it to drag it out. Crane ran out of jam and needed my 980 to help. It is dusk out turning dark and the idiot, pencil pushing super intendant it yelling through the window to put my (shaded) safety glasses on. I wanted to kill the guy and he still persisted after i explained i cant see shit and i am in a closed cab. Real safe lifting 10's of tonnes blind with the back end of the loader off the ground with 20 labour crew standing 5 feet away.
Trust the dirty man without helmet and a cigarett in his mouth 😍
I'm all for safety but it's ridiculous now with a whole new job for people who have never been out of a office or class room to drive around all day and tell people that have done the job for 30 years to be safe.. not to mention they are making 100k a year to do it... at least that's how it is on the pipeline
@@mikewhipkey6863 exactly. Corporate BS
Bjørn-tore Osenbroch yes!!!!
5 million dollars and a heated seat is an option......smh

Saludos Rafael Paz, en que parte de Venezuela trabajas?
Thanks, but how can we get these explanations in french language, please???
U dont need a course, their pretty easy to operate, i started on a 920 to a 988 cat 72-81 terex to a 992 cat, wish i wash still doing that loved the power these monsters have, sure do miss it
"optional 4-point harness"
For what!? For hard braking going into turn 7? For the extra support when heel-toeing your way around a drift circuit?
When you are going full throttle in a muckpile and hit a rock the size of a small house you want something good holding you back. Also if you are trying to roll a boulder that you cant fit in your bucket and the backend comes up... the coming down is not so gentle. Get some seat time before you start hating on things.
Jeremy Herman I didn't think of that. Plus I've never driven one of these.
Then keep quiet captain Not Funny.
Sir Bartholomew Whitehall Chamberlain lol... you're a little bitch
Please control yourself, tool.
How do you deliver that thing to a mine or quarry pit
Darrell Purnell In pieces. Than they put it back together
Wish I could get into even just a smaller wheel loader but I would love to be in one of the big boys. Just need money to get into an operators course in my area and start a career.
trust me man, it looks good fun. i thought it was awesome when my boss got me a new 32tonne Volvo loader for work. but after 3-4 weeks of loading hoppers and trucks you soon get sick of it. I'm now looking to get out of the operating game and find a new career path... but good luck to you. it's not a horrible job, just repetitive and boring
As an employer. Don't waste your time or money on an Operators course. I dont even look at resumes that say blah blah heavy equipment academy. I want experience or potential. The only way to get in without knowing someone is to want it bad enough. Find someone who will put you in a skid steer or even a packer and prove yourself. If you want it and your work shows you will get better machine and jobs. I have trained a few people from noobs that are very good now. But they showed me the potential. Those courses give you max 10hrs in mixed machines and are no good for anyone. Just get someone to take a chance on you, be charismatic and personable.
This is easier said then done. I currently do environmental work and have had the chances to operate skid steers, excavators, loaders, marukas, all of varying sizes. Even though I do good work and have had no accidents happen I cannot do any of this stuff on a watched job site because I am not certified. My employer allows me to do some small work when necessary because I have shown alot of interest but because I have no course to back it up I cannot get a job operating for real. Either way, I am aiming for a different career because of all this, that is going to train me properly in the field and pay much better wages.
Where do you live where you need a heavy equipment certification to work?
Tyler Rainey live in northern Ontario. Everywhere wants certificates and years experience.
the best and the bigger
I want to be a product application specialist when I graduate
Man I run a 988 but I really want to get my hands on a 994k really bad
If Cat really cared for the operator optional sound dampening and flash harry seat would be standard wouldn't it ?
the front loader is higher than the 988f ..
the one here in Argentina ..
9 cubic meters
I take it to 20 cubic meters of capacity of the valley.
is it possible to build a wheel loader that has 80 or 90 metric tonne bucket payload capacity bigger than p h l 2350 your competitor normal model name 995 question for cat team good commercial.

Why would you ever need an seat belt in such a big machine
Devin Haisma seat belts are for when you roll the machine over!
Frank franks I know but this machine is never going to roll over
That machine could easily roll over, all depends on the work enviroment. You have rock mines and quarrys that are a mile down or more. One false move or something malfunctions your going to wish you had a safety harness on. Imagine the shock your body will take when a 4 story tall machine rolls!!!
Devin Haisma because you can tip over very easy
Ill tell you the same thing I told another guy. When you are going full throttle in a muckpile and hit a rock the size of a small house you want something good holding you back. Also if you are trying to roll a boulder that you cant fit in your bucket and the backend comes up... the coming down is not so gentle.
why the he.. dos he have safety glasses on hard hat on inside the cab is the quality of it so poor that you need to have those on to be safe, well then i will for sure not go buy a Cat ;)
lytken you forsure can't afford 1
Thats why volvo is better:D
For some reason Cat's global safety standards require that they meet American Safety regulations, which state that vehicle operators must wear hard hats and safety glasses. They even do likewise when making videos for non-US markets, like India and Africa, where they make the operators wear all the Cat safety stuff, when in reality many don't, and our markets don't even stipulate Health and Safety requirements for machine operators.
lytken I've been driving a cat loader for 5 years and I tell ya it's very hard on the body period
Don't get me wrong , Cat makes great Machines but wy do you have an armrest big as a house and that joystick is to big look at Volvos joystick and armrest much mor Comfort , high back seat 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂ends wher your ass start😂😂😂😂😂 but otherwise ther God macines 👍👍👍👍
That AFEX fire system is trash
