Home i got an 2002 yamaha r1 and I can get it to turn over it was cranking but now all it does is make a ticking sound what do you think is wrong with it...my starter is good, new relay however when bridge my relay it cranks.
What kind of exhaust tip is that on the r1 I would like to know if you know.

I feel like those r6s are just geared better for acceleration compared to the 750, but also just depends on the riders skill im curious how much hp difference a 750 would make vs the average 130whp they make with basic mods and pump gas
Gearing and a quick shifter is why the 600 won. All the 750 needed was either a higher roll or better sprockets

Rider is a small piece of the puzzle, both guys ripped their bike well. This wasn’t a rider race this was a tune/setup race.
Down to the rider, in a straight line? You can train a chimp to twist a throttle and hang on...
I don't know that any of these guys can actually RIDE when the road isn't straight... I saw chicken strips... hell, they weren't even strips... they had chicken thighs and breasts on those tires... lol

Depends on the motorcycle, some you don’t have to do anything for tune for it.

Here is something to consider that people never talk about. Torque RPM vs HP RPM. I constantly beat young guys on bikes because they are redlining their bikes thinking they are going to go faster. But what happens is they are killing their Torque. I do not go for red line until I am toward the top of my speed range. If you think I am full of it, look at a dyno chart. Torque basically goes to crap after a certain RPM.
To sum it up, if the guy on the 600 knows the power curve of his bike, he will dust larger bikes all day long if the rider of those bikes ride the red line. Been there done that........
I honestly have to disagree with you 100%. So explain the 600 race? They both on the same bike, same motor, same mods, etc both shifting at redline so how is one way out front and the other not? Not to mention you “short shifting” or shifting at your max torque production just put you in a higher gear faster which is translating to you actually being slower.
Basically what I’m trying say is if I rode my bike as you explained I would never win races, and if you beating people racing like that you just racing super slow people.
This is the most ignorant comment I’ve seen this year. Here’s a cookie and a trophy 🏆 🍪. This isn’t the 50s and 60s. Redline for a motor is set by somebody smarter than you. Go and look at any bike, car, boat, or anything that has a ICE engine, and I bet the redline is set at or past the point where it makes max HORSEPOWER. Since horsepower is a unit of measurement to express how much work is done in a fixed amount of time. Throw your whole bike and computer and phone away.

Redline RPM 16500
Sure, you could re-tune this. But if you red line this engine, you will not be at the optimum power setting.
HP = (Trq *RPM)/5252
After a point if Trq does not support RPM, your HP goes to crap.

It should yes, but in this case it didn’t. That R6 is fully setup for this style of racing. If the 750 was the setup the same it would be the R6 no problem.
