Love watching you do scenic work/rock faces, very effective and well practiced techniques Dave. Top Notch upload, always inspirational. All the best. Brian @ The Angels
Watching your videos is one of the highlights of my day, they are such a release from everyday life. Note you should use "Dude wheres my horse" more in your videos I think it really helps tell your story in a western way
Oh my goodness! I just stumbled upon your channel and I am in awe! What absolutely beautiful work you do. I will have to stay up all night to watch from the beginning. My grandfather would build Christmas towns with railroads, ponds, etc. I would sit quietly besides him watching, hoping he would ask for my help. He was a carpenter by trade so his towns were made of plywood. They look as wonderful as the year he made them in. At its finish, the room was totally covered. It ensured 18x22 ft. There was a small aisle left around the entire structure so you could go around and see the whimsical vignettes. He would have loved to give this a try. Anyway, God bless! I am looking forward to binge watching your videos.
Good timing as am just started a town on my O3r layout. Also..I have the Knott's book...i is great. As a kid I'd walk Ghost Town late night....I lived near by and with no Fence closing time was a suggestion. Thanks
Did you ever get to see the BoomTown acrobatics show at Knotts in Ghost Town? Used to watch that every night between robbing the Calico Railroad. This layout brings back so many fond memories! Nice job :)
I can see that you were really having some fun getting into character there Dave haha. But this sounds like it'll be an exciting series and I can't wait to see Calico evolve!!
Dave' Wonderful video, Mine, boom towns hard not to love em. Lots of inspiration from Knotts town look good. You might also think about Deadwood the HBO series perhaps the Hardware store named Bullock and Star ? Just a thought, whatever you decide on will be very cool as usual. Looking forward to seeing your progress in upcoming videos .
Man I love the perspective that backdrop gives, looks like its miles away. Nice job.
Dave, awesome techniques! Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Your descriptions as you work are most helpful.

Nice work on the area and with some fuzzy hair you could be the Bob Ross of model railroading !!!
I draw the line at getting a perm
@@ThunderMesaStudio I don't blame you !!
Oh come on Dave no need for a perm just stroll on down to the makeup and wardrobe department and viola you will be painting some "Happy little cliffs"
