Oh my gosh I like your channel so far you’re so smart common sense stuff and the installation of your car and soundproofing smart wish you luck. I’ll stay in touch.
I had a Volvo. Then after the divorce, it ended up short circuiting and I sold it for scrap at $500. Then I found a 2008 SUV Honda CRV. Great car! I just replaced the serpentine belt and starter two months after the purchase :D It runs great and my insurance is $28 a month.
Thank you for giving us more knowledge about dispersed camping. They always make it look so easy and I was wondering about that because I tried it one time in a car.
Yah I was online looking to book a camp site and their like $30+ $129 per night most don't even provide bathroom or showers. I'm not paying for a view. I can get that anywhere. I'm paying for resources water electricity showers trash. I was like nope I'll pass
right?! in other places they are so many more services, like the last time I was in nebraska I got a state park spot for $23 and it included water and electricity at my site (plus showers, trash, etc.)
Yes! Get an outback this car was made to live in. I can sit up in the back of mine and I can stretch out and sleep! Even the outbacks that are not Wilderness edition are great for what you want to do.....and they have 8 inches of clearance...also AWD. 😊
I live in a 1997 Toyota Tacoma with a camper shell which I bought in 1999 with 55,000 miles on it. Now, 24 years later, I have 371,000 miles on it, and I don't plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. Never had any major problems with it, and Toyotas tend to last longer than all other vehicles. If I ever get another vehicle to live in, it will be a Toyota Sienna Minivan. I also have my own tools and do alot of my own maintenance.
Since you journal, which I do too, have you considered writing books about your travels? I would surely read your books, and I'll bet alot of other people would too. I've written five books about my travels. My last book "Million-Dollar Journey" had 324 color pictures in it of all the places I went to in 2022. I wrote another book called "Making Your Vehicle A Home" which has 200 pictures of how I converted my truck into a full time luxury home. I'm currently writing my sixth book called "Grand Excursions," of the cruises, road trips, camping trips, site-seeing trips and ATVing I've done in 2023. I already have over 200 pictures in my phone, and I haven't been to all the places yet.
You’re right I had that experience when I was in Wyomi, trying to figure out between the national park, and the BLM and the forest and the rules on each of them and they all overlap each other
I was just wondering... Are you happy? I crave this life so badly but I'm scared that when I finally do it, I won't be happy like I hope to be... I'm 15 right now, and I plan on leaving right after I graduate from my toxic household with my cousin/best friend... I don't think anything could stop me from doing it, but I just wonder how happy you are? I love your videos so much by the way!
If you're 15, get your life together before living in your vehicle. Make sure to graduate from high school first. If you don't, then don't expect to go very far in life. Also, go to college or learn a trade that pays well. If you don't want to do either of these, then go in the military. I can tell from Elizabeth's videos that she is very happy and is excited about her life. Too bad you didn't pick up on that. I have lived in my truck for many years, and I'm very happy. I'm also a college graduate, retired from the military, I taught at a university, I'm a business consultant, and I've published five books. I'm currently writing my sixth book. I wouldn't recommend vanlife for a 15 year old. Get your life together first. Finish high school then go to college, learn a trade, or go in the military. If you don't, you'll likely end up a liability to everyone around you unless you come from a rich family and you have alot of money in the bank.
@@lewisvogel466 Sure, sure, I get what you're saying, but I am not entirely sure if you're getting what I'm saying. At the age of 18 (and a half technically), I will be leaving my toxic/abusive household as soon as I graduate from high school and cutting off my entire family (at least my mom's side). I want to do college possibly, but I'll do it far away. Also, I am so happy that you're happy, and I'm sure Elizabeth is as well. I was simply asking because I'm sure you know how deceiving social media can be. I'm not trying to hate on anyone, I'm trying to praise people if anything.
@@dgredits All good 👍 I'm glad you cleared that up. You sound like you have a great plan. By the way, you can live in your vehicle while going to college, and that will save you rent money. I don't pay rent living in my truck. I park at Walmarts, rest stops, truck stops and hotel parking lots. Never had any problems. I also pay 25 dollars a month for a black card membership at Planet Fitness which gives me a place to shower every night. If I were back in college, I would seriously consider living in my vehicle to save money. Four of the five books I've written so far I did while living in my truck. So being a student while living in a vehicle is very doable. You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders. Yes, getting away from toxic people is SO IMPORTANT. Been there. Surround yourself with positive people and good things will come your way. I have no doubt you'll end up doing the things in life you'll want to do, and you'll surely live out your dreams. Thanks for your very positive response, and I know you'll go far in life.
I'm very happy! There are difficulties and stress, but it is worth it for me because I enjoy my life overall and in a way I enjoy the particular type of stress (since I picked it). It is not for everyone, but I do think that being young is a great time to do this, because you don't have commitments already and you are more adaptable. If you like nature, you could do seasonal work at national parks and such -- there are many options. Blessings to you on getting out of your toxic situation and being able to find your people!!
A Subaru would be really nice. It’s fun to have a goal. BLM and National Forrest, Truck stops and rest areas are all great and free!! You’ll find your groove. It takes a bit of time but soon you will feel super chill👍

I have thought about it -- I find that making videos is easier for me than writing

Wow, love all your links. I was just wondering what your other businesses is
That vehicle your mentioning sounds really nice, and you may have more room for yourself and your things.
I think so too!

I hope to start the dispersed camping in the near future! best of luck to you!
Thanks, you too!!

@@lewisvogel466 Thanks so much!
Steep grades up or down and curving roads scare me. Do you make sure you are only driving during daylight hours? Stay safe!
I am a morning person so I typically leave around sunrise and arrive in mid or late afternoon, even on a long drive day
How often do you make hot meals? If you make them, do you have to find a park to do so? I would imagine you'd eat out a lot more with this lifestyle
I try to make one hot meal a day. Yes I usually find a park (if in town) - if I’m traveling it’s easier. I can cook inside but it’s awkward.
A Subaru would be really nice.
It’s fun to have a goal.
BLM and National Forrest,
Truck stops and rest areas are all great and free!!
You’ll find your groove.
It takes a bit of time but soon you will feel super chill👍
Fingers crossed!
We have a Subaru Forester because I didn’t fit right in an outback as I have a long torso.
That’s a good point - I need to go to a dealership and climb in the different Subarus and see which fits me :)
Beautiful place 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Yes it was! :)
