      You should! I personally really like them ❤️ they look and feel different than Sennelier but they are fantastic. I also apply use them differently. I’ve recorded a portrait after receiving them and I’m hoping to be able to share it next weekend 🤞🏻

    I am happy for you and I am anxious already to learn from you with these Caran d’Ache Neopastel new portraits with fine details which it will be easier to obtain with realism due to theirs waxy component more than of being oily like Sennelier oil sticks and less melting problematic issue if you are in hot environment weather issue like Spain in particular! Why are you not buying a full set of 96 Neopastel? Do are they costing more on stock, the way you are doing, Yolanda? I am having two full boxes of 96 Neopastel and I had never regret it! Because buying them in packaging of three to have a decently set will cost me an arm over here!! Nevertheless, I am very happy for you! I am sharing with you the same pleasure for yours hauls that you had just received! 😊❤ from Quebec a distinct French society province, in Canada 🇨🇦!

      Thank you Danyel! 🥰 Surprisingly they are cheaper open stock than in set here! By quite a lot actually. That’s one of the reasons and the other one is that I don’t feel like I need all the colors in there since I know I wouldn’t use most of their greens and blues, or bright oranges, yellows… If I could curate my own box I’d go with a 48 sticks one because I find that painting is also easier with less choices rather than more. If I have too many options it takes me longer to decide which ones I want to use. I also feel the color palette that I currently is nearly perfect for my needs, I’m very happy with it. I’ve already recorded a test portrait but still have to edit it 🤞🏻 I hope to have it ready next week.
      Have a lovely day ❤😌

    All the olives, like a good spaniard 🤭 I'm very excited to see what you do with the most saturated colours (specially that turquoise) and the gold!

      Hahaha 🤣 I haven’t thought about it! I’m not even sure if I will ever get to use that turquoise 🙈

      I think this turquoise is not so difficult depending to the other colours around it can become an advantage. Also may be mixed to bring a shade. It happens that I regretted a colour in gouache or in soft pastels then I had the surprised that fortunately I got it. I think it could be the same with oil pastels. But of course we generally have our own habits and a repetitive palette along the time. On my side I have more difficulties with some reds.

    I'm a newbie to oil pastels, but I got the Pentel, Mungyo and some Sennelier. I hope as I use up my Mungyo I can get some Caran d'Ache and Holbein pastels, as well as round out my Sennelier colors. I love looking at the swatches, they give me an idea of how they're supposed to go down and a feel for their quality. Thanks for sharing!

    Thanks for sharing. I am on the way to oil sticks painting so this is useful because I trust Caran d'Ache but for the white I can see that Sennelier is more covering that is good to know. Thanks for sharing ✨

      Glad it was helpful! I totally recommend Sennelier’s white, I think it’s the best one, it goes over everything and covers very well

    Hola Yolanda que buen,video,una pregunta que papel me recomiendas el papel liso o con textura para los pastel😍😍😍

    • @YolandaBlazquez
      @YolandaBlazquez  Рік тому +1

      Muchas gracias! ❤️ creo que es algo muy personal pero a mí me gustan los papeles más bien lisos. Utilizo Pastelmat porque es liso y suave al tacto pero a la vez tiene un grano como de lija súper fina que ayuda a que el pastel se agarre sin crear una textura muy obvia. Tengo pendiente probar otros, sobretodo para bocetos.

    Whenever I order individual colors from any type of art material from a website I always cross reference using google images and youtube to know what the colors actually look like because otherwise it happens to me the same it happened to you with buying too similar colors.

      I do the same but this time I messed up 🥲 not too many swatches for the Neopastel out there.
