Ingredients for two containers:
250 g shelled pistachios (unsalted and not roasted)
125 g granulated sugar
35 g water
60 g ground almonds
5 drops of almond extract

I need pistachio paste for a recipe and I was wondering where I can get this - and looked on Amazon and googled it. I found this video. I hate when the almond it's added to pistacio in the cakes, desserts or ice creams, , they always add it because the pistacio it's very expensive 😅 it's better 100% pistacchio.

I am so excited to make this paste!! I love almond but I am allergic. Can I add ground hazelnuts instead? What can be a good substitute for the almond? I will use almond extract though!
you dont even have to use almond or almond extract. You can skip both steps and you will have the same product just with less almond flavor.

Can vanilla extract be used instead of almond extract. Supermarkets don't have almond extract n I would love to try it out with vanilla simply coz it's easy at home 😬

Hi . I have a doubt ! I made a mistake by adding more almond extract and my pistachio butter is tasting more like essence. What should I do to make it taste like pistachio butter?
I’d redo another batch minus the essence and then mix it all together.

A very long time in the refrigerator, some people say even 6 months or so but I am sure it won't last as long 😉

I have a question, I love pistachio flavoured ice cream, and the store bought tastes like 'fake pistachio'. Like a very artificial flavour of pistachio, which I love. And from artisinal shops its tastes very natural, which i still like but less. Do you have any idea what they use to make pistachios taste fake and delicious? It's the first recipe i see that uses almond extract, is that it? or can it be something else?
Hey there, I think they just use synthetic pistachio extract which would bring that « fake » taste. If you use this pistachio paste, your ice cream will taste like the artisanal ones, more subtle and natural. You should try the extracts then! 😉
@@WilliamsKitchenEN Yeah that's what I thought so I bought pistachio extract but it smells so natural so I don't think that it will give it the taste I was hoping for :( Anyways, thank you!

@@CALLMEMONDAY_ Actually soon after that comment tried to make it and I read on some places that commercially they use almond extract and that is what gives it the taste. And that some ''pistachio'' ice creams are actually just a mix of vanilla and almond extract, no pistachios in there. So I didnt have any almond extract but I did have Amaretto liquor so I added that alongside pistachio paste and OH MY GOD, it was....so good. Now I know it's the almond extract that gives it that singular flavor.

I think that the recipe it's referred to the french recipe, in italy we don't add almond to pistacio, when they add it they always don't write it, they use it only because the pistacio is expensive, i hate the mix 😪
