This mattress is totally fine for side sleepers. I'm 200lbs, althetic build...6ft. I LOVE this mattress. It's def a medium firm but slightly more on the firmer side. The latex feel is amazing. Love this bed
Currently awaiting my second warranty replacement from Birch. Just like the first one they feel good for 3-6 months then start sagging and our backs start hurting. Then wait another 6 months until it gets really bad then send in the pics for warranty replacement. I'm ready to do this for a couple of times just like I did for my previous tempurpedic. How do hotels do it? Each time I travel I marvel at the non-sagginess of hotel beds. rip off big time
@hastensavoir7782 I really liked the bed by itself. It's got a good amount of movement but you don't sink into it, which is what I wanted. My wife really likes the foam feel so we got a topper later and it helped alot with cutting down the movement
I like the durable build of the Birch mattress. I am taller and heavier which compels me to look at Hybrid beds. As a combination back and side sleeper, I prefer something with a medium feel as I suffer from joint and arthritis issues. Great review
I just went to the website. To check it out I only need a full size Mattress. I was wanting to know how they are shipped. And how Long. Does it take for them to get to Me
The Birch sounds like a good fit for me. I’m a medium weight stomach sleeper and I prefer a firmer mattress. I also hate memory foam and prefer the responsiveness of latex.
Giveaway: I love that this is a great eco-friendly latex hybrid option. The price was more affordable than I expected considering its eco-friendly. This could be a great option for us to consider since I have back pain. Adding this option to the list. Thank you again for another informative and educational review video. I'm learning so much from all of your videos.
@@KayRackzYHM the product is relatively good as I don't have much to compare against besides my crappy old mattress. It's really pricy I expected more I for the price. would want to try it against helix midnight. For those who care my back does feel better.
Giveaway: I really wanted to get the Birch!! I love the eco friendly materials and certifications! You feel safer sleeping knowing that info. It makes sense to sleep on latex because it sleeps naturally derived and sleeps cooler than synthetic foam. However, I’ve tried the Brentwood Home Cedar mattress, and since it’s eco friendly, they don’t chemically treat the wool, which made it smell like lanolin. even my clothes would smell like it. The untreated wool also bothered other people in my house that are allergic to wool. Yes. The sheep smell traveled through the house. So unfortunately unless I were to go with the no wool version of the avocado mattress, I can’t get a latex mattress because they all have wool. Avocado seems too firm for me as a slide sleeper. Thanks for the easy to follow review.
I think it’s a bit too firm for my style of sleeping but can understand why back/stomach sleepers would enjoy it! I’m a side sleeper and not too heavy so it might be too firm for me.
Giveaway, this matress with the topper sounds like a pretty nice one. But the $450.00 for the topper sounds a little steep without even knowing how thick it is? For $450.00 it should be at least 5-6 inches thick in my opinion.
First time hearing about Birch. I like their 25yr warranty. I like that it has pocketed coils. I do wish it was a softer mattress, I am a side sleeper.
It’s nice that it is environmentally friendly but that organic wool layer makes think it would be hot. I’m a combo sleeper but mostly on my side so it won’t work in that respect either. Thanks for the review!!
Birch mattress seems nice if you’re a back sleeper. As a side sleeper i prefer a softer memory foam for great pressure relief. Latex is nice but it is too responsive for my liking.
I sleep mostly on my side, so I don't think I would really like it. I might like it with the topper, but if I get a new mattress, I would rather not have a topper.
Giveaway: (Are you still doing the giveaway? I’m watching this in 2023. ) We just got a helix birch natural. It’s awesome! Love the natural latex. They say they are a 6 to 7 firmness but I actually think it’s a bit softer than that. Love it. Your videos are super helpful to help figure out what’s what in bedding. Cheers! ❤️🌸🌟
Giveaway: with the Birch I and not excited about the price. Even with the discount it makes me want to keep searching but I do appreciate that it is environmentally friendly so this is one to definitely consider in my search.
Giveaway: I like that it’s eco friendly but being a side sleeper and need something for pressure points to I would like a memory foam, thank you for another great review 🛏💤
Giveaway: i appreciate the environmentally friendly aspect but personally i don't think it's for me being a strict side sleeper i think the medium firm latex foam would be a bit too firm for me
GIVEAWAY: I think the birch mattress is ok the firmness is good I would enjoy a medium feel but I want the sinking feel of a foam so definitely not for me. I think this would be more Accommodating for back or stomach sleepers.
Giveaway - I think it looks like it'd be comfy but I'm a bigger guy so I'd would be a little worried about it for a long term mattress just from looking at it for some reason.
Giveaway: 25 year warranty. Awesome. To bad the birch bed has wool. I am allergic to it. Also I’m a side sleeper who needs more pressure reliving aspects.
Giveaway: birches eco friendliness is great as well as their firmness, since I a stomach sleeper. I am not sure thou about the latex foam feel. I would have to try it out

Just got my birch bed. Feels great. I added a thin gel foam topper and now it's perfect
How did it feel initially? Why didn’t you get the Birch topper?
@hastensavoir7782 I really liked the bed by itself. It's got a good amount of movement but you don't sink into it, which is what I wanted. My wife really likes the foam feel so we got a topper later and it helped alot with cutting down the movement
@@sorenrousseau great combination! I figure, for 20x more money you would have loved Vispring’s qualities.
I got a Dunlap and is hard
Is this Dunlap and is it soft?

The Birch sounds good but I like a pillowtop feel so wondering if the optional topper would provide that feeling I want.
Just ordered it I'll try and let you guys know

If I was going for latex I'd buy the birch with the topper. Looks like one of the softest out there.

I have been interested in Latex form i have a latex pillow and like it but the mattress may be too firm for me a side sleeper like me
Looks good, but a bit firm for me as I'm a side sleeper. I wish it was softer.
I have a slight latex allergy so I'm not getting a latex material bed.
Owen, your information very insightful like always.
I have the mattress and the tipper and I feel it’s still firm,
I am definitely interested in this one because of the
Latex foam.
Edited> Hubby said he's allergic to wool!!!!😣😭
Oh I’m a fan of a firm mattress. This back of mine could use more support. Plus I like that it’s eco friendly.
The Eco friendly aspect is nice but latex bed do seem to be a good fit for me.

Helix is cheap hence why they undercut all the competition....think people...even there latex mattress offered at lower price than competitors
