Chere Marie-Anne: a bit of fun trivia -- US economists in the 1980s & 90s compared mini lengths to high inflation & midi/maxi lengths to a sound, prospering economy. It seems that the inflation & economic stagnation resulting from the pandemic affected styles to a greater degree than ever in obvious & less obvious ways. Puffers are out but not for skiing. Real fur is warmer than faux. Faux leather clothes, footwear, bags don't really last more than one season depending on wear & don't age well. It's too bloody late to save the planet. If the planet gets warmer, we'll be living in temperature-regulated underground caves without sunlight wearing uniforms designating our socio-economic ranks. The most important fact that your video underscores is the cyclical evolution of fashion. What's in next year will be out the year after. And...so it goes! That's why I keep 70% of my clothes as I wait for their return to being in style.
What wonderful new trends! But here in Finland we have snow from November to mid-April. Yes, it sometimes melts. And sometimes it is so heavy that half of the car is buried. You can’t put on your elegant winter boots! And a thin coat won’t save you if it’s -25, -30. And how strong the wind can be... That’s why a down jacket with a hood, fur-lined mittens and boots with thick soles!
Scandi style has different requirements than Paris style, right? I love the elegant simplicity of Scandi style too! Here in Massachusetts with climate change, our winters have gotten so much warmer I can get by with a trench coat, maybe with a warm sweater underneath pretty much all winter!
I was just telling my mom the other day how grateful I am that the feminine styles are coming back. For years I've seen so much, what I would consider, junk in the stores and nothing I would actually wear. It's so lovely to see the longer skirts, silk blouses, jeans with no rips in them, etc. This time around, when all of this goes away again, I'm still wearing it and paying no mind to the trends that will most likely not suit my personal style.
Thankyou for these hints, I have been purchasing vintage clothing from op shops for years. I do wear work boots in the garden, although I have a selection of pretty boots. I loved that black coat, I have a similar one. I like jackets like the check black and white. People often make great comments on my choices.
I am beyond thrilled to see the tailored look coming back into style. I grew up making tailored suits. I'm starting to make them again and couldn't be more excited!
I just discovered your channel. I'm considerably younger than you but I like you so much! It's so refreshing to see a mature woman who isn't using filters (or worse), and you seem to have heaps of personality.
I'm so glad most of these are "out" especially athletic wear. It's so unflattering on most people who wear them and unless you're at the gym it's inappropriate. I will keep my faded jeans as they fit me so well but I usually wear dark jeans in winter. Excellent as always!! 😍😊❤️🥰☺️🦩☀️🌴
I bought a pleated skirt in the tartan pattern of my family clan when I visited Scotland from America back in 1978. I haven’t worn it much lately as it’s a bit snug. I will alter it and start wearing it now! Love your video!
I love when trends swing this direction! Although I am admittedly unfashionable myself, I love seeing beautiful art. These more feminine and taored fashions are so beautiful.
Thanks, Marie-Anne. It's always great to have current info on trends. Fashion rules are like most rules - you can follow them or break them successfully as long as you know what you're breaking or following. ❤️
I applaud all of these outgoing trends going OUT. The alternatives are so much more classic and feminine, especially love the longer and plaid skirts as well as the feminine boots. Thanks for sharing, Marie Anne.
You look fabulous, Marie-Anne! Loved to know that these trends are finally out and what to wear instead. I've got a waxed trench coat in black by Uniqlo, it's so practical and versatile. Tailoring, pointy/almond toe footwear, midi and maxi skirts are my favourites. Love your humour and honesty. Merci ❤
Im so glad that Barbour waxed jackets are "in style". I have been wearing my olive green one for years ! They are everyone's uniform in the Yorkshire Dales where I live .
I’m as excited as you about the end of those awful items. I want elegance and beauty in my life. I am from Italy, but have been living in New York for over 40 years. I found your channel a couple of months ago, and Im addicted. Brava!
I’m very happy to hear this because I have never worn any of these out of trend winter styles for exactly the reasons you have mentioned- they are not flattering or feminine. I’m in style without following unattractive trends by staying with tradition which never goes out of style as you know.
I'm still wearing my biker boots. They're not TOO clumpy and are warm and comfortable .I also own smart leather, and suede, alternatives. My shoes have always been pointed toed. I don't follow fashion trends, but wear what makes me feel good. I NEVER wear denim, and never have, as I'm not a workman! Nor do I wear hoodies, tops with logos or sportswear. There have always been alternatives. I love your blouse Marie-Anne
I've been watching your videos for long enough that I am starting to get better at finding alternates in my budget, which is considerably lower than most of the pieces you link. It's not easy, but I am managing. I am very happy about the tailored look. This is best for me, as a classic style is most attractive for my overall appearance. I am at the bottom of the plus size range, which means there are additional problems when clothes shopping. Tailored pants can be very, very difficult for me but they are the ONLY ones which look well on me. For your plus sized ladies, Lands End makes lovely dark wash, tailored-look wide leg jeans, and they come in multiple lengths to reduce the amount of hemming. Also for plus sized ladies, Chicos is friendly to the bottom end of the plus sized range (I think they go up to the 20-24 size, which would be a 4-5 in their sizes). They have lots of great pants including tailored jeans and pants, and wide leg styles, which suit me best. Torrid has good basic T shirts which have some shape to them, and which have V necks, also good for plus ladies. They also tend to have colors which flatter me, as black and white are not good on me. I have yet to find a good soft white T shirt which is NOT ivory or cream, colors I CANNOT wear. Note: Torrid T shirts are too long for me, at 5' 5" tall. One can deal with this by either tucking them in or knotting the hem, or if one is handy with a sewing machine, one can hem them higher. Talbots has some wonderful tailored looks, but I have some difficulty with their colors, especially during fall and winter. I hope these tips are helpful for other French Chic Ladies who are plus sized and still want to create the wonderful looks that Marie-Anne puts together for us.
I'm not plus size but appreciate your shopping / vendor tips. Thank you! I'm 5'4" and I, too, find T shirts to be too long, even in petite sizes. And I do sew, but hemming knits is trickier than non-stretch fabrics.
Style does not have to be expensive Fran adjusting to your budget is very French Chic. I always try to give a spread of prices in the pieces I link to 😘
Dear Marie-Anne, I'm so glad that the wool-coats come back! l always hated the thick and formless puffer coats, maybe they make sense in some really cold regions but they never look good. I live in the middle of Germany and we rarely have cold winters. Love your videos!❤
I can see if you live in a very cold city, and don't have a car, and you're walking long blocks or waiting for buses, some kind of thick quilted long coat would be necessary. I just hate the look of them tho. Like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. I got a "camel hair" tan classic wool coat in 1974 when I went away to college in Philadelphia. I was into 1920s style back then and I've loved classic elements in my wardrobe ever since. I remember in the early '80s, when I was making enough money, I went into Macys instead of a thrift store, and got a long oversized black and white houndstooth coat, which I wore with a black beret, blue wool scarf and red leather gloves. It was the '80s, after all... Lol
I have a stunning, brown suede lined jacket my mother gave to me about 30 years ago because she lives in a semi-tropical climate. I get compliments every time I wear it but get a laugh every time I'm asked where I sourced it because my mother used to smoke and she actually got it back when you could save up coupons from cigarette packets and exchange them for things. It's a unique jacket in many ways!
I purchased short, snug puffer jacket from Uniqlo the same color as my long, wool blazer coats. That way I can wear them as a layer underneath when it gets really cold. It looks modern!
Thank heavens: No puffer coats, no ugly sneakers, no padded jackets anymore - never had any of these in my wardrobe. Didn't want to walk around in an Eiderdown with a zip at the front 😂😂. I loved my woollen overcoat in navy blue with a warm cashmere jumper underneath plus a warm scarf, red gloves and comfy boots. 😊
I am so happy about the midi and maxi skirt trend. So much more chic and feminine! Not to mention modest. Women should look dignified. I never really thought midi skirts were replaced my mini skirts- but perhaps that is the push right now. I hope it is met with great resistance!❤
No crocs no stocks made me laugh. I only have one pair of jeans that i feel comfortable in and its black. Im now going to start looking for some dark blue jeans. Thankyou for the video.
Merci Marie-Ann for a cheerful video! I love listening to you and always pick up something for myself. I am from Kiev but last 41 years live in USA, 35 in California. I visited Kiev every year and always picked up beautiful cashmere coat, jacket and nice boots and sandals. last 2 years did not visit Kiev and missing on fashion. So your videos prove that dressing well is very important and I try to do it every day. Makes me feel good too. I am glad all those trends are out! Love my Barbour jacket and Scottish pleated skirt I got years ago!
Winter has just landed in Northern Utah (no snow yet), so I am excited to wear my gorgeous ivory wool coat. No puffer coats for me! I love all your advice. Love the more feminine boots and I already have two new pairs: ivory pointy toed, suede and black riding boots. Love the humor in your video such as the penguin running past the person. Ha. Keep up the great work! We depend on you for chic, sophisticated, flattering styles that are timeless. You always look gorgeous.
Yes Marianne, I wear a barn jacket. Its inner flannel layers are warm, for when walking the dog, running errands & going to outdoor fall festivals, great fall jacket, I really like! ❤
Yaaaayyyy, dear Marie-Anne! This is ALL wonderful news! Thank you!! Thank you, also, for speaking about what’s in or out of ‘fashion’, as opposed to the word, ‘style’! It drives me crazy when others speak about it in an incorrect way! 😉 Have a lovely week! ❤👜❤🇨🇦
Yes to tailored classic styles, however I do like to lounge around in my sweats during the winter. I purchased a beautiful wool maxi length shawl collar coat in dark walnut. It came in a petite size so it fits my 5'1 stature perfectly. Love your hairstyle.
I have a Barbour jacket and wear it for long walks and with the dog now again. I also have an Australian wax duster coat. It is great for covering me when horseback riding and again: out with the dog.
Thank you Marie-Anne, love those pleated skirts with feminine boots. You look stunning in the dark navy blazer and that beautiful lacy top, sooooooooo WOW.
I won't cry to see any of those trends die out, except for the puff coats & jackets. In my part of the country they are most likely here to stay. Layering will not get it in a climate where we have 6-7 months with snow.
Your videos always cheer me up. Glad to see long skirts and plaids come in and yes I have a barn coat I wear out in the garden and to the Home Depot ❤😀
Well, here I am after another siege with my ailments that has taken another bunch of pounds off. All my nice new jeans are now loose, but not yet falling down. I was so very happy to see you mention barn coats. I have one from that faithful outfitter, LL Bean. Mine is a nice wine red color with corduroy collar. It has two wool linings, and when. you button in that second lining, you are good to many degrees below zero, even Fahrenheit. I've had it for many years and it still holds up, so I should be in pretty good shape. My capsule wardrobe has made its first transition from summer to autumn with a switch-out of a couple of skirts and linen pants, so I am good to go now that I feel better again. :)
I bought a gorgeous, chic black wool coat at goodwill for $20. Love it! Wear a bright scarf to soften it by my face. Marie-Ann you look beautiful, very refreshed🙂. But I did like the comfy sporty outfit,
Enjoy your animated delivery. Also your great sense of humor. I live in Vancouver, Canada, where it rains a lot. As a result we have a lot of greenery and beautiful scenery. In view of the rain I prefer to wear the long puffy coats with hoods rather than the wool ones that usually don't come with hoods. Moreover they are lighter. Thank you for your advice on latest fashion trends.
As always, a great video. It makes sense not to chase trends and spend money on things that go out of style the following year. Rather it’s best to keep classic styles and clean lines and basics in your wardrobe.
I admit I have a couple pairs of lighter washed jeans. I know this is a French chic channel, but in the warmer months, I do coastal chic, so sometimes I wear faded denim shirts, jackets or jeans. However, I wear neat button down shirts, cotton sweaters, linen vests, marinieres, etc., on top, with a nice leather belt and clean sneakers, a woven bag, good jewelry. In winter I do wear dark wash jeans.
This is so refreshing! I’m back in style, and yes,…I still have my vintage J. Crew barn jacket from the mid-90s, complete with corduroy collar and cuffs. It is in excellent condition, because it has been lovingly cared for. I prefer to wear it with dark jeans and boots for casual outdoor activities and chores, and it’s roomy enough to layer well if needed to keep me warm. (Hubby owns a similar one from L.L. Bean.) My woolen riding skirts and blazers are also vintage L.L. Bean and Woolrich. I’m excited that my longer pleated tartan and Glen plaid skirts are also back in, especially for the holiday season! Long wool topcoats never went out of style in our home either. (Neither have longer wool sweater dresses.) Riding boots leather gloves, and scarves will be completing the look. What about the two winter subtle tartan plaid crossbody envelope handbags I own? 🤔 Wearing them with solids or grey heather woolens is what I have done in the past, and will probably continue to do. They are such fun! Again, what classic styles. I’m thrilled that they are again the trend this winter.
Here is Sweden we must be a little more practical because of the weather ⛄️, so even if it’s ”out” I’ll keep my warm puffet jacket from Uniqlo. Love it in the winter! 🥰
I live in Massachusetts, and we do get some snow, but here it seems people pull out their puffer coats when it gets 1 degree below 60F! (15.5 C) And I object (not out loud lol)!
I had a waxed anorak style jacket from J Crew, but sold it due to being very hot to wear! I live in BC Canada, and our climate is warmer and wetter than rest of the Country!
Glad maxi skirts are back in fashion. I have one in my wardrobe I made myself a few years ago. It is in burgundy corduroy (not the fat, furry corduroy, the finer type). My jeans are all indigo/dark blue. I don't like bleached jeans. I did buy a pair about 10 years ago. They came out in small holes the first time I washed them and I had to throw them out. I do need a new pair of boots. I didn't wear boots all last winter as it was quite mild. What's in fashion for this winter are the type of boots I like.
I am loving these new (or old) trends, I have always loved a tailored look, that military style coat is to die for, and classics never go out of style, I will have to pass on pointed shoes because of bunions, but riding boots just what i'd like.
I am afraid I may be on the frumpy style as I love my Bear Paws and blue jeans in the winter. I live in a rainy town in Oregon, USA.I wear what is suitable for my station in life. I love long skirts and sweater I guess a BOHO look. I am not out to dress to impress. I do love sensible fashion and enjoy watching you. My maiden name is a French name so someone came from France. Thank You. 🥰
Oh god hallelujah!!! I can wear all of my wool and cashmere coats this winter. Now, I always wear them but hey now I can wear them and be trendier-than-thou! Bonus, just found a couple of gorgeous suede handbags secondhand - an olive green and a pale warm grey, and they will look amazing with those!
I have loved faded jeans since I was about 4 years old...I love pale blue and all the inbetween shades. I do wear dark jeans esp in winter, but all shades of blue are beautiful.
I will be visiting Amsterdam, Zurich, Lucerne and Montreux in early December for two weeks. I anticipate lots of walking, hopping on and off trains and I will need sensible footwear. I cannot predict the weather, but I'm leaning towards a durable, cushioned, waterproof boot that I already own, but they are not particularly fashionable. I want to be safe on icy, slushy sidewalks and streets. I may bring my puffer coat, but I'm also considering a slightly lighter weight waterproof/hood coat with a primaloft liner. I want to look good, but I want to be prepared for the weather in the Netherlands and Switzerland.😊
I had a long wool coat. It looked elegant but was so impractical in Canada. No hood, really heavy, and even heavier when it got wet. There’s a reason the puffer coats have been so practical. Warm but light, and ideally with zippers that open from top and bottom. Dry quickly.
I wear my barn coat…in my barn, 😂 along with my wellies (Hunter boots). I don’t think I’ll wear them out and about because I’d smell like my horses. 😉 Love the video!
Hi Marie-Anne from New Zealand. Love your videos. I have taken your advice and changed my wardrobe. My issue is you we are in spring and heading into summer so I am feeling like I'm behind the play or in front lol not sure which. Again thank you for all your advice. Keep up the good work
Yea! My tartans are back in fashion........I am thinking with black leggings....... I wear a barn coat daily, I have 2, for casual daily wear. I wear them with one of my 3 pairs of bean boots.... Semi rural..
My most versitle coat is a long, wool coat, ever so oversized (one size). I shortened the sleeves to fit, but I need the extra room to wear layers when extra warmth is required. It's also hooded, that's a must for me. With a down vest underneath, it gets me to -5 degrees celsius. I do look a bit chubby, especially being short, but sacrifices must be made to stay warm. Below that (rare), I have to wear my Iowa parka. What I love most about long coats is that they work with any length skirt underneath. Shorter coats are tricky, as they can create horizontal lines where they are not flattering.

Yes, this makes sense where I live too! But I do this from necessity, not from desire
I agree, same in Canada. Cannot walk in snow or ice at -20 with boots with thin heels! We need sturdy and very warm boots.
Scandi style has different requirements than Paris style, right? I love the elegant simplicity of Scandi style too! Here in Massachusetts with climate change, our winters have gotten so much warmer I can get by with a trench coat, maybe with a warm sweater underneath pretty much all winter!

My rule- wear classics mixed with some small trendy item. Only caveat- I will wear my puffy down on sub-zero Michigan. Safety first. Cheers.
Me too. Chicago winters can be brutally cold.
Exactly right Robin - always dress for the weather👍☃️
Try faux fur. It is really warm.
Yes, here in MN fashion goes out the window when the wind blows and it's below 10 degrees Fahrenheit!!!!
I’m so happy about the return of elegant, classic, feminine dressing! Finally, there are many trends I really love this year.

Thank heavens for the return of almond toes. I’m fed up of chunky boots which look ungainly on a natural classic, minimalist person. 😀

I am so happy about the midi and maxi skirt trend. So much more chic and feminine! Not to mention modest. Women should look dignified. I never really thought midi skirts were replaced my mini skirts- but perhaps that is the push right now. I hope it is met with great resistance!❤
I really hope this push towards more feminine looks continues 🙏
No crocs no stocks made me laugh. I only have one pair of jeans that i feel comfortable in and its black. Im now going to start looking for some dark blue jeans. Thankyou for the video.
I can't lay claim to the phrase Jessie - it was one of my students in one of my livestreams 😃
I like all your hair styles, including this one! Cute! Stylish! Energetic!
🤗
Merci Marie-Ann for a cheerful video! I love listening to you and always pick up something for myself. I am from Kiev but last 41 years live in USA, 35 in California. I visited Kiev every year and always picked up beautiful cashmere coat, jacket and nice boots and sandals. last 2 years did not visit Kiev and missing on fashion. So your videos prove that dressing well is very important and I try to do it every day. Makes me feel good too. I am glad all those trends are out! Love my Barbour jacket and Scottish pleated skirt I got years ago!
Dressing well is very important indeed Tanya 😃👏
Great video! I too, dislike athleisure clothing, unless you’re hiking or working out. Your hair looks awesome, Marie-Anne😍
😘 Merci Cindy x
Winter has just landed in Northern Utah (no snow yet), so I am excited to wear my gorgeous ivory wool coat. No puffer coats for me! I love all your advice. Love the more feminine boots and I already have two new pairs: ivory pointy toed, suede and black riding boots. Love the humor in your video such as the penguin running past the person. Ha. Keep up the great work! We depend on you for chic, sophisticated, flattering styles that are timeless. You always look gorgeous.
Merci Natalia - stay warm ma chère xx
Yes Marianne, I wear a barn jacket. Its inner flannel layers are warm, for when walking the dog, running errands & going to outdoor fall festivals, great fall jacket, I really like! ❤
You look radiant. 😊 Thank you for another upbeat and inspiring video!
You are very welcome Heather x
Yaaaayyyy, dear Marie-Anne! This is ALL wonderful news! Thank you!! Thank you, also, for speaking about what’s in or out of ‘fashion’, as opposed to the word, ‘style’! It drives me crazy when others speak about it in an incorrect way! 😉 Have a lovely week! ❤👜❤🇨🇦
I am with you on that Donna 💯👍
Great video and I’m happy to say I’m ready for winter!!!! Also you are so funny which enhances your videos ❤️❤️❤️
Yayyyy Janice 😃 I always think a little humour can help get the points across 😘
Yes to tailored classic styles, however I do like to lounge around in my sweats during the winter. I purchased a beautiful wool maxi length shawl collar coat in dark walnut. It came in a petite size so it fits my 5'1 stature perfectly. Love your hairstyle.
Marie- Anne! You are a lovely lady and put a smile on my face.
🤗
I have a Barbour jacket and wear it for long walks and with the dog now again. I also have an Australian wax duster coat. It is great for covering me when horseback riding and again: out with the dog.
😃👍
Thank you Marie-Anne, love those pleated skirts with feminine boots. You look stunning in the dark navy blazer and that beautiful lacy top, sooooooooo WOW.
Merci Tuija xx
I won't cry to see any of those trends die out, except for the puff coats & jackets. In my part of the country they are most likely here to stay. Layering will not get it in a climate where we have 6-7 months with snow.
Love the feminine style, particularly the fuller skirt and wool coat. 🙂
They are beautiful Elizabeth
I bought a green “field jacket” which is casual but looks great with jeans. Has a little stretch and is very comfortable
Sounds perfect Diana x
Your videos always cheer me up. Glad to see long skirts and plaids come in and yes I have a barn coat I wear out in the garden and to the Home Depot ❤😀
I am so happy that they cheer you up 😃
Well, here I am after another siege with my ailments that has taken another bunch of pounds off. :)
So glad you are feeling better Anne 🙏
Will be spending winter in France, needed this ! ❤
😃 I hope you have a fantastic time Shrutimita 😃
So happy with the new trends ! I do have a waxed jacket but it has a draw string waistline.
Great for that Hourglass figure Carol 😉
new subscriber but i love your sense of humor and you are spot on about the return of elegance at last yay!!
Merci Stormy and a Big French Chic Welcome to you x
I love my waxed jacket, which I wear for gardening and walks in the woods. Waterproofing it is a lot of work, though.
I'm 5'2" with a straight-ish waist and small bust. A maxi, pleated skirt would overwhelm me. I'll have to compromise with an A-line, mid-calf skirt!
There are different considerations for my Lovely Petite Ladies Katrina 😃 but I do like your thinking 👍
I’m 5’2”. I pair the longer skirts with a blouse or sweater in a matching color to elongate my silhouette.
@@christineg5699 Great idea!😍
Not a newbie.. But I've been a silent viewer for a long time! Hello from Zambia 🇿🇲
Bonjour Elsa - lovely to see you comment 😃 please don't stay silent we need to hear your voice in the community ma chère😘
You are very welcome Christina - I always say Normandy is the Seattle of France ☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️
I Love waxed jackets- for the garden!
As always, a great video. It makes sense not to chase trends and spend money on things that go out of style the following year. Rather it’s best to keep classic styles and clean lines and basics in your wardrobe.
Absolutely Laura 😃 very well said 👏
@@MarieAnneLecoeurI learned it from you 😊
I admit I have a couple pairs of lighter washed jeans.
That is fine Magdlyn - this channel is all about inspiration 😃 not style dictats 😘
@MarieAnneLecoeur I know, cher, I take what works and leave the rest!
Youpiii ! Long ,wool coats are back !
Yes Marie- Anne , hallelujah is the brilliant word for it .
😃😘
It is lovely to see feminine and classic styles enjoying a come back Nanci 😃
Here is Sweden we must be a little more practical because of the weather ⛄️, so even if it’s ”out” I’ll keep my warm puffet jacket from Uniqlo. Love it in the winter! 🥰
As I say above the snow line you need to dress for the weather ☃️
Grab those boots and that maxi skirt Pythonaria 😃
You're looking more chic and very pretty lately MaryAnne!
Merci Kim 😘
Love your humor
🤗🤗
Nice to see you back again, your looking good,
🤗
I love puffer jackets especially if they reach the ankle I have ordered one I can't wait!
I am loving these new (or old) trends, I have always loved a tailored look, that military style coat is to die for, and classics never go out of style, I will have to pass on pointed shoes because of bunions, but riding boots just what i'd like.
So glad you like the looks Kei - have you watched this ua-cam.com/video/vC8VQWKNh6Q/v-deo.html 😘
Thank You. 🥰
No need to dress to impress Helen just dress to please yourself and be the best version of you 😘
Oh god hallelujah!!! I can wear all of my wool and cashmere coats this winter. Now, I always wear them but hey now I can wear them and be trendier-than-thou! Bonus, just found a couple of gorgeous suede handbags secondhand - an olive green and a pale warm grey, and they will look amazing with those!
Sounds perfect Veronika 😃
Great summary of old and incoming fashion trends Marie-Anne, so encouraging that all those ugly fads have finally gone out!
😘
I pretty much agree with all your choices
I have loved faded jeans since I was about 4 years old...I love pale blue and all the inbetween shades. I do wear dark jeans esp in winter, but all shades of blue are beautiful.
Those winter trends that are, finally, out of fashion were awful. I didn't wear them. Thank you for the good news.
xo~linda
😘
I hope you have a wonderful trip Carol x
I am so happy, that feminine style trendy nowadays 🎉🎉🎉
So am I Ilmira 😃
I had a long wool coat. It looked elegant but was so impractical in Canada. No hood, really heavy, and even heavier when it got wet. There’s a reason the puffer coats have been so practical. Warm but light, and ideally with zippers that open from top and bottom. Dry quickly.
Oh my goodness
Gorgeous and Beautiful video!!❤❤❤
Wow! Your hairstyle is very flattering! ❤❤❤
Merci beaucoup 🤗 I will let Antoine know x
I wear my barn coat…in my barn, 😂 along with my wellies (Hunter boots). I don’t think I’ll wear them out and about because I’d smell like my horses. 😉 Love the video!
It is funny as we were making this video my husband said he had been looking at a Barn Coat recently 😃 we both ride Western Style 🤠
Hi Marie-Anne from New Zealand. Love your videos. I have taken your advice and changed my wardrobe. My issue is you we are in spring and heading into summer so I am feeling like I'm behind the play or in front lol not sure which. Again thank you for all your advice. Keep up the good work
Think of being in front Jan 😉😘
I have a belted black Barbour waxed jacket. I wear it with jeans, trousers and midi/midaxi dresses. It can be dressed up or down.
👍
Definitely happy! 😉 my best is wool coat 🥰🥰
👍
Fabulous video Marie-Anne ❤
Glad you enjoyed it Rosita 😃
Yea! My tartans are back in fashion........I am thinking with black leggings....... I wear a barn coat daily, I have 2, for casual daily wear. I wear them with one of my 3 pairs of bean boots.... Semi rural..
MarieAnne, you look absolutely beautiful in that deep blue top and blazer! And, as always, merci for the video. ❤
Merci Bea 🤗
My most versitle coat is a long, wool coat, ever so oversized (one size). I shortened the sleeves to fit, but I need the extra room to wear layers when extra warmth is required. It's also hooded, that's a must for me. With a down vest underneath, it gets me to -5 degrees celsius. I do look a bit chubby, especially being short, but sacrifices must be made to stay warm. Below that (rare), I have to wear my Iowa parka. What I love most about long coats is that they work with any length skirt underneath. Shorter coats are tricky, as they can create horizontal lines where they are not flattering.
Always dress for the weather ☃️
I luv maxi skirts and coats. With the coats -- I size up so that I can wear layers underneath.
👍👍
Padded jacked are needed if you go by train. The stations are rather cold and you have to wait to for the delayed trains here in Germany.
We had beautiful plaid skirts 60 years ago...plus la change oui?
👍
I enjoy you videos and love using your styling tips. Thank you
I am glad you find them useful Cynthia 😃
I like your new hairstyle!
Merci Barbara x
