Quite a year Brent. As you look back and see how much things changed for you,it’s quite a big change. From ashes to the new shop. Quitting wasn’t an option. Awesome buddy. 😎👍
I see a tight corner on the fender where it turns down. You could take that corner off the fender. Best way I found to bend large rolls in pipe is on a tire and wheel. The tire helps with not kinking the pipe. As for lighting in shop. I think it is fine. That shop is much brighter on camera than the old shop.
Nice to see Brent and Pablo back in the swing of things! Lighting is fine either way for me, but you putting attention to it for our benefit is super awesome.
As a boat guy, myself, I love the body lines. The view from the back with the top even with the cab body and then turning back to the bottom of the box, is a beautiful look. I really like this truck, Merry Christmas to ya.
For all you’ve gone through this year, you have accomplished so much. Like this build you are doing with the ‘49. And the shop turned out great. Merry Christmas, and hope you have an awesome New Year!
Brent, great to see you back on the projects! Working out the kinks is always the challenge! But if anybody can do it you're the guy! Congrats! Of course you light the way you want it but the shop looks pretty good to me, Cheers!
I kinda like the box the way it is.Im sure it will look great when you are done fabricating it.Thanks for all the great videos this year.Seasons Greetings to you and your family.
Love your work. My father showed me a way to reduce the risk of pipes folding on the inside of a bend - albeit on a smaller section of pipe. He plugged the end and filled it with kiln-dry sand then plugged the other end. He then made a form to bend the pipe and welded the end down. A bit if heat on the outside if the bends to help things on the way and continued to weld it down as the pipe took the form and the sand reduced the chance of a sharp kink At the end he unplugged the ends and the sand ran out.
I think you're writing is really good in your shop I understand having lights over by the tool boxes and stuff I think the lighting is good where you work I hope you and your wife both have a Merry Christmas
Mounted a light on my lifts arm so it would rise and lower with it.. pointed it at the floor and wowza! What a difference. Got rid of the floor shadow and reflected enough light upwards to make the undercarriage a little brighter. Still use a light when needed underneath.. but it helped a lot with light and not blinding myself with a floor light
Hey Brent, Regarding the box top edges; If you leave the angled sheet metal where you cut off the original tube and go "straight across"...you'll have a lot more strength when you weld in the new tubing edge....extending the vertical box side up to meet the "straight across" panel....forming a triangular cross section.
lighting is good in the shop. Yes roll the lip all the way down the tail of the box, then you can drill holes in it for tail and indicator/flasher lights. that will look cool.
Merry Christmas Brent & Esther and puppers. Ya'll truly are a gift to me. Since you have a lot more bending to do I wonder if you couldn't build some wood dies for the shape and a little heat to bend. As always I will be waiting on the next one. Later
This guy is amazing. He must be the happiest, most easy going, approach it whatever it works guy on the internet. Best Wishes to You, Your Family and Friends, The Season Greetings, Stay Safe and Enjoy.
There is always an alternate plan. If at first you don’t succeed, buy another section of conduit and take your best shot…. A lot of really nice custom cars have been built by the “let’s try this” method of design. Looking good Brent!
Brent you are a very smart man to know how to do all that stuff that you do you are truly blessed and I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Yup I can see the back of the truck matching the roof line of the truck. I can see it even goes with the flow of the back fender. Once all the sheet metal is added it will look fine/badass you can always change it up. Look at it for a few day's. Even with the top off sitting in the bed would look like a whale tail 👍🏽 Wishing you and the Family, Friend's and commenters, supporters and everyone else a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
The old WVA fella thinks the shop is great. Lightning is good. And I just love to watch your ideas come to life. I want to wish you and the wife a Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2024
It is good to see you getting back on your feet and holding your chin high! Watching your videos has gave me the confidence to take up welding and metal work. It's awesome to see you make great things out of old rusty metal. Thanks man.
I have used a cheap harbor freight bender and made my bend marks about one half inch apart and gone back over them a couple of times at least. Good luck!!!!
Great work on the bed top rails. Can see the vision. Look forward to more on the bed. We had a great Christmas, trust you guys did too. Wishing you and yours a Happy New Years. Be safe and stay well.
Excellent video Brent :) pipe bending takes task to do and lots hard thinking to do it looks nice ! Also yes take lots thinking about it and come out nice too ! I know can do it too!
For the question of the lights, for myself it's pretty good ! To bright is to white... More and more in love with that GMC ! Merry Christmas too you and Esther, and the dogs ! Later
I think it looks great Brent can wait to see the end result .side pipes will look cool on this truck too I think .Blessed Festive season to you folks over there .😊
Make a plywood form that over bends to 95 or so degrees. Mount it to a table. Fill the conduit with sand and tape the ends. Clamp the pipe and pull it around the form. The over bend allows it to spring back to 90.
Well ---- you made it into your New Shop by the end of the year ------ New things for a New Year -------- A Merry Christmas to you and Ester ------- Make sure there are plenty of treats and toys for the dogs ------ And with that ----- Happy Holidays ------ Rodney

Fork lift proving it was a good buy, becoming the most used toy in the workshop. Brilliant work as always. Have a great Christmas
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Merry Christmas Brent Ester and Pablo. Thanks for all of you hard work that you entertain us with through out the year. Catch you in the new year 🎉

The lighting seems fine to me but it comes down to what makes you happy! Love the way the build is turning out!
Quite the radical approach to the bed Brent--it's going to look great!😎😉
Nice to see Brent and Pablo back in the swing of things! Lighting is fine either way for me, but you putting attention to it for our benefit is super awesome.
time wise this is the earliest yet for me but glad to be here.. Happy Holidays to you and family

Brent, great to see you back on the projects! Working out the kinks is always the challenge! But if anybody can do it you're the guy! Congrats! Of course you light the way you want it but the shop looks pretty good to me, Cheers!
After everything you have been thru it is good to see you smile/laugh!
That garbage bag under the storage rack. 2:22 Shows a very organized busy shop. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The loght is perfect
I'm fussy about lighting too. You won't be happy until you have the lighting exactly the way you want it ... go for it Brent !
That looks so much better
It's Perfect, you are the only one that's going to know when it's done, Perfect, Kool, Neat!...
Minty !
Thank You for sharing your video, and letting us hang out .

The lighting is great. Better than lots of videos I've seen.
Brent, Esther, family and friends (and the dogs) Merry Christmas and a happy healthy New Year
I'm jealous. I used to do a lot of fabrication at work. I really miss it. You have the gift. Love watching you create
Built my shop last summer and I think I need more lights too. Definitely over my work tables but more in the ceiling too.
I like the end result of straight down at the rear, flows with curve of the proposed Carson top idea
I think you're writing is really good in your shop I understand having lights over by the tool boxes and stuff I think the lighting is good where you work I hope you and your wife both have a Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, you guys. Thanks for the video. See you in the New Year if not before. Later 🎅🥳🇬🇧⚒️
Another good episode. Always enjoy them.
I would take a fender off and trace the out line and make a plywood bending form this way you can bend both sides the same. Just a thought
Awesome concept. Gives a vibe of a reverse Chris Craft barrel back. Happy Holidays!!!
I like it! Good one!
Hi My Friend Very Good Job ❤❤❤❤❤
