This is an excellent tutorial. My mother passed away 4 years ago at the age of 106 and I foolishly told everyone to pick out a piece of her clothing to make them a memory bear. There are a lot of members in my family, lol! Well, I’m finally getting motivated to begin working on this large project and decided I needed a refresher course and I came upon your video. The cobwebs are coming out of this 73 year old brain and you have shown an easy to understand tutorial. Thank you for sharing your talent.

How sweet! I am soon to be 64 and never got into crafts/sewing. My kids bought me a Brother sewing machine about 6 years ago and I didn't open the box till a year ago. I never thought I'd be able to sew on a machine. I've watched YT vids to learn what I have and I'm addicted to sewing now! This is my first attempt at a memory bear and it came out pretty darn good for the first one lol. The clarity of directions and tips that work for Amy and her calmness is what makes this channel so special to me. Looking forward to watching and learning so much more from her. Happy sewing!
I’m 19 soon to be 20 and I made my first bear today!!! The only flaw I had was the back head wasn’t centered !!! But thank you so much !

I love this I have this same patter when I cut all the pieces and started to read instructions I put it away. I was so confused on certain parts. I WISH THEY HAD A LOOOOVE BUTTON instead of a like button. Thaaaank you, you made it so much more understandable.

Yours by far looks like the easiest one to make. I did purchase your bear and by accident another persons rabbit. Goodness the other one we have to sew the arms together then sew it to the body and such a small arm hole to sew in. Not sure how this one will turn out but I can not wait to get done with this rabbit and make yours. I will try to find your memory rabbit also and purchase that one. Thank you so much for having this tutorial as it makes my life easier.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I purchased the acrylic templates from an instagram add and, even though listed that instructions are included...., they're not. I'm a seasoned sewer but needed some clarification on a couple parts. Your directions were clear and succinct and even gave me tips on parts I didn't think I needed help with! Thanks for your time and sharing this with the world! (They should pay you and include a QR code to this link when they sell the templates!) With your directions, even a beginner could do this.
I am so sad to see all of you finding me because of the acrylic templates you purchased! They are from a Chinese company that stole my copyrighted patterns and is selling them illegally. The only place to legally get my patterns is from Etsy, but how would you know?? So frustrating and unfair. And no...they don't give me a single penny for stealing my patterns. Yeah I made my first Mamie bear today. Easy to follow but I used a shirt that was my boyfriend’s so pattern didn’t line up. Thank you for your instructions and this video. Your bear looks bigger than mine in this video
Have you ever thought about coming up with a way to use the actual front of the shirt (where the buttons are) as the front of the bear? think that would be really cute.
I cut the belly in one piece and use the buttons as the middle of the body
Hello, Your instructions are very clear & precise & easy to follow 💚 I live in the UK & just brought a pattern from Amazon that can be posted/delivered. 😁 I don't have a computer/laptop or printer to Download a PDF pattern 😦 i use a Tablet! 😋 Do you think if I were to buy this pattern PDF download, I would be able to Scale the 1"line marking & easily draw the bigger Pattern Pieces & piece them together? My tablet screen itself W 13.5cm x L 21cm. Because your Body Pattern Pieces look quite large. Erica x
Hello I can't find where I saw it in your video something about rounding out the nose or doing something with the nose of the bear. Can you let me know about this please. Mine did come out a bit pointed and I would like to have a more rounded area for the nose. Thank you

This is the best video and very easy to follow I bought the pattern could I ask did you interface the fabric before cutting
I use iron-on interfacing if the fabric is particularly stretchy, thin or delicate. If it is stiff, not stretchy or pretty sturdy, I skip interfacing all together.
Where is the pattern for the sphere it looks nice thank you can you tell me where is it.
Can we use this feet style with the other bear that has no bottom on the feet?
Do you ever use interfacing like SF101 to add extra stability to the fabric?
I sure do! All the time. Especially if it's particularly delicate, like satin or silk, or if it's a super stretchy material, like a baby's onesies that's been washed a hundred times!

Uh oh! If you don't have the gusset down the center of the head, it sounds like you bought the Chipper Bear and not the Mamie Bear!
I think this bear will be easier to sew. I have the Memory bear I pattern, but the head goes on last and there is little room to connect n it to the body. I like the construction a lot better on this pattern. Thanks

Hi! In this video, I believe the eyes are approximately 14mm and nose is 20mm. You can find them at most craft stores in the doll making department. I also get them from various sellers on Etsy. If I'm making a lot of bears, I will purchase a large kit from Amazon.
Do you have video if we wanna use fuzzy or stretchy cloths like cotton tshirts or pjs.
No, I don't have one showing that specifically. In those situations I use a stabilizer so the fabric stiffens up and is easier to work with. I like to buy a medium weight iron-on fusible webbing. It helps so much and the bears hold their shape very nicely.
When sewing bear together my back of the head and the front do not match what have I done wrong help 😁

The Mamie bear is 18 inches long from top of head to tip of toe. It's about 14 inches tall when sitting. Wingspan is 17 inches.
Is there a chance someone stole your design. I bought a pattern I saw online but it didn’t seem like it was going to come in so I found you on UA-cam and bought your pattern from your Etsy shop. We’ll low and behold the one I ordered finally came in and it is exactly like yours except it has plastic pattern pieces. Same picture on the front and same directions for assembly.
YES! Several companies have stolen my patterns. They are using my images and videos in their ads and Facebook refuses to take them down. I am beyond upset and devastated!!! I don't know what to do, because the companies are stealing from so many Etsy sellers. So unfair. 😔
Hi, roughly how much stuffing do you need per bear? and does it have to be a certain type
Hi! I usually buy a small bag of PolyFill stuffing...I believe it's 16oz? It says right on the bag that it is enough for one stuffed doll or animal.
