This offseason could be great. It’s just a matter of making the right moves. Maybe pulling the team “in” a little, convincing them that the core is strong. We will see! Can’t wait!
Thanks Jake. There's a lot of players available and we can make educated guesses what AA will do but I'm guessing as always AA will surprise us all with something great. Hopefully soon. GO BRAVES 2025 !!
Finnegan (and Romano if healthy) make a ton of sense. Setup man, backup closer and maybe closer in waiting in 2026. I have no idea what route they'll go for another outfielder.
Guanipa is a lottery ticket. When he connects it’s loud. He’s fast and has that short stocky type build and is a plus defender in center and a really good baserunner. Dude has no clue what he’s doing at the plate. I watched a ton of Augusta games and his swing is all over the place. When he got on base good things almost always happened but he just chased and k’d way too much and didn’t have a great approach at the plate. The tools are there he has great hands, power, and plate coverage he just needs more time watching quality breaking pitches and learning what to swing at and what to lay off. Augusta ate him up early on but he fought back and got a little better, still there is a lot of work to go at the plate.
I think this is the year for ajss. I really do see a big season for him in 25. The next step is not “missing” over the middle of the plate or non competitive balls. What I mean is when he misses on a pitch it’s either middle middle hanging meatballs or easily not swung at balls. He has to learn more of the art of pitching. When we resign Morton he will be huge for ajss and his development. I see a schwellenbach type season out of aj. More walks for sure but probably more ks as well but similar results in the end.
I truly believe that the Braves have every intention of resetting their CBT, and as AA said, they are waiting for "opportunities that may arise" (a player whose market really never develops and is forced to sign an under the market-value contract).
@@deliveryguy6262 He also indicated that the entire coaching staff was expected to be back, also indicated that TDA option was going to be picked up, Indicated that Soler was an outfielder and someone they have "trying" to acquire for a long time, the list goes on and on and on...
Patrick Sandoval would be a very interesting pitcher at the right price. 6 pitch mix, if the Braves can get him to control his pitches, throw the 4-seamer higher, the sinker lower and more to the edges of the plate, and maybe use the change up possibly slightly more, he could be very solid for the Braves. I think a lot of it comes down to his control.
Why are we talking the right price?? The Braves signed Morton...at 15 Millon for 2025, and 10 Million 2026...No Buyout... Sigh...😐😐 After all the money AA has been slashing...and to overpay for Morton...which I wouldve paid 10 Million Max... This doesnt make sense/CENTS...😅

Yes; he was not productive in 2023 or 2024. So he is a very big buy low candidate for a good team. Laureano had his best in last 3 seasons with the Braves I think there is a chance a team gives Laureano 2 year deal or a 1 year deal with an option.
always an informative show Jake! Happy Thanksgiving

For sure
Solid show, partner.
Thanks!

Hays would be a nice add. I like that platoon with kelenic and am fine with him getting some run early until Ronnie is back.
Wouldn’t hate it.

Jake I think AA make a big move down the road A starter pitcher like Montgramery or Cracket AA will get a ss and outfilder
I hope so

AA declared payroll is going up.

It’s certainly possible.

Big question would be what he looks like coming back from tj and he might even pitch next year
That's a very long list of "if"s
@@joacquincornejo4998 it seems like you have some inside knowledge about news that are yet to happen.
I agree. If he can improve his command he could be a really good fit in Atlanta.
Feeding the Algo monster.
Thank you!

Romero would be nice too
Yep
Do yoi think Hayes signs for less than Laureano?

I see Hayes or conner joe
Or tauchman from the cubs
He better, he's a worse hitter and worse defender.
@@benjaminwalters7800 Hayes was a 112 wRC+ hitter in 2023.
I think bellinger would be a perfect fit for the outfield
If the Cubs are a good bit of that salary.
