In Ghana this competition is like a religious pilgrimage, everybody supports their school regardless of whether they win or lose, everybody is proud of where they went to school. The relationship you build in school is a lifetime, some of these friends will attend your wedding, baby showers so on and so forth .
And the money they put inside this competition is amazing. Not even ghana premiere league has that money. Second cycle education in ghana is highly competitive and i love that about them. Presec 6 Prem 5.
yes! it’s so motivating to see so much interest put into education. no matter what anyone says, education will forever be an importance to humanity and i love how Ghana sees the relevance it that. it’s beautiful
I went to Mfantsipim Senior High School and won this competition on two occasions, 1999 and 2014. One of our students won the best student for WASSCE both for West Africa and Ghana for the last WASSCE written. We also have one of the best Alumni in the country. Mfantsipim is located in Cape Coast . I love your content and congrats to Prempeh College as well.
I went to Opoku Ware School. We’ve won the competition twice and been to the finals 7 times, only Presec has more finals appearance. Prempeh college, our arch rival eliminated us in the semi final of this year’s competition but we will come back stronger in 2022. All hail Opoku Ware School !!!
prempeh college is one of the best schools in Ghana, they are the ones who won the first competition. So Presec Prempeh are at par. They classified as class A schools in Ghana 👌 👍

So let me give you a bit of insight on how to rate the schools. 1 when it comes to Wassce results where people look at percentage pass rate, schools with few students and of course good students will rank higher so you have schools like wesley girls and st james seminary and others. 2. For competitons, When It comes to pure extremely talented sharp students, the majority find their way to schools like Presec, prempeh, Peter's, owass, the boys schools and then wesley girls and top girls schools. Few number of the talented go to mix schools. Then from all these talented kids, the boys have shown to have an edge in competitions So I hope this explains a bit about good schools. Summary more talented individuals get to the single sex schools. The competitions are platforms for upcoming kids to be attracted to these schools
We used to have girls too long ago when we had the O level and A level type of education. The ladies came as day students. CEO of vodafone Ghana went to presec legon. Patricia Obo- Nai

My school didn’t make it anywhere but I supported St. Augustine’s College(Augusco) along the way. Then they got kicked out and I channeled my energy to KETA. Anyways kudos to PREMPEH💚.

Only schools from 4 Regions hv won this competition.. Greater Accra, Ashanti Region, Eastern Region and Central Region it therefore tells yu hw competitive it has been since its inception in the ninties. The 3 most successful schools in the history of the nsmq are Presec 7 wins, Prempeh 5 wins, St. Peter's 3 wins. But the others hv either won it twice or once or are yet to win it for the first time. It is our version of the world Cup in Ghana.

My school usually gets knocked out around the 1/8th stage, once or twice we've gotten to the quarter finals but never been to the semis. So for this year, the 'old boys' decided to contribute and support the school, especially in preparation for NSMQ.... Long story short, we met St. Peter's too early in the competition, didn't even make it to the 1/8th stage this year.

Nsmq is the champions league of Ghanaian senior High Schools. I went to Pope John Senior High. We won the competition only once in 2001 its also an all boys school.
For my school being eliminated that early,the old students of my school is calling for the head of the head master ,he might loose his job ,that’s how serious we take our NSMQ
Nigeria and Ghana, same West Africa 2 different worlds. In Nigeria secondary school competition are not a big deal, rather everyone prides about his/her university. In Ghana it seems secondary school competition is a big deal. Just wow, what a difference. Cultures are really different....

When it comes to achievements, non beats Prempeh College. In fact Prempeh College is the most successful school in Ghana. The school has enviable awards in all competitions organised at the senior high school level. In the field of academia, Prempeh College was the first school to win the most decorated senior high school competition, i.e the National Science and Maths Quiz. Prempeh won it in 1994, the very first edition. They again won it in 1996,2015 and 2017. The School again won the National Debate Championships in 1997 and 2004. They have won over 22 trophies of world robotic competion in the world. Just last year they won the competition held in Michigan: Prempeh took the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions which no school in second cycle has achieved this glory. Not just ones, they have repeated it twice in the World's Rebotic Competition. In Ghana and Africa, they are second to none in this event. So, where is Presec..? Prempeh does not count on small trophies but the excellence ones recognised in the World. Where is Presec in this domain. They have been part of this competition yet they have made no impact. Prempeh College doesn't mention individual awards because they are innommable. Please, don't ever compare Presec to Prempeh College, okay...? They are not at the same with them even though they have won 6 trophies: lucky enough, they never met Prempeh College in none of the 6 trophies won so far. Imagin, if they had met the College Boys from Sofoline-Kumasi. We called them SENIORS. In all the two finals Presec met the Prempeh College, they were defeated. Twea, interestingly Presec wins a trophy in every academic, social, sporting and cultural events it participates in across the globe. Atleast Prempeh can count its awards, Presec can not count them. Because they are too numerous to count. From A levels era till now and WAEC awards, it is Presec and Gey Hey that tops. This year Presec is clocking over 100 students with 8As in WASCE. The true Christian Gentlemen don't make too much noise, even though they are the most sought after school in the whole of Afrika

When it comes to achievements, non beats Prempeh College. In fact Prempeh College is the most successful school in Ghana. The school has enviable awards in all competitions organised at the senior high school level. In the field of academia, Prempeh College was the first school to win the most decorated senior high school competition, i.e the National Science and Maths Quiz. Prempeh won it in 1994, the very first edition. They again won it in 1996,2015 and 2017.
The School again won the National Debate Championships in 1997 and 2004.
They have won over 22 trophies of world robotic competion in the world. Just last year they won the competition held in Michigan: Prempeh took the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions which no school in second cycle has achieved this glory. Not just ones, they have repeated it twice in the World's Rebotic Competition. In Ghana and Africa, they are second to none in this event. So, where is Presec..? Prempeh does not count on small trophies but the excellence ones recognised in the World. Where is Presec in this domain. They have been part of this competition yet they have made no impact. Prempeh College doesn't mention individual awards because they are innommable. Please, don't ever compare Presec to Prempeh College, okay...? They are not at the same with them even though they have won 6 trophies: lucky enough, they never met Prempeh College in none of the 6 trophies won so far. Imagin, if they had met the College Boys from Sofoline-Kumasi. We called them SENIORS. In all the two finals Presec met the Prempeh College, they were defeated. This is why they are crying now because they do not understand why the Prempeh is beating them like that. Respect Prempeh Colleg...!!!
Twea, interestingly Presec wins a trophy in every academic, social, sporting and cultural events it participates in across the globe. Atleast Prempeh can count its awards, Presec can not count them. Because they are too numerous to count.
From A levels era till now and WAEC awards, it is Presec and Gey Hey that tops.
This year Presec is clocking over 100 students with 8As in WASCE. The true Christian Gentlemen don't make too much noise, even though they are the most sought after school in the whole of Afrika
The NSMQ is a sacred competition for Ghanaian Second Cycle Schools. The bragging rights alone will scare the hell out of you 😂
