If this was a real scenario, it won’t work. I don’t believe parents should put hands on their children as well, but the best way to correct this behavior will be to use emotional manipulation. It works every time.

@@princessm2893 there’s a lot. Silent treatment would work best in this situation. For example, say “If you don’t apologize, don’t talk to me, and don’t ask me for anything.” There’s also guilt induction.

I am a parent…..I will NEVER let my kids sleep at another man or woman’s house. Kids get molested all the time. Parents……your first priority is to keep your kids safe. You are responsible for your kids safety.
protecting your kids does NOT mean locking them away from their freedom! this is even more of a danger as being strict with them and keeping them scared (from potential predators) will make them more likely become victims of predators! the easiest victims are kids who are being raised to obey without questioning and to be scared of authorites! the sick ones who are after kids will always act authoritarian towards them to keep them scared and quiet!
this is how to really protect your kids: boost their confidence! make them trust you to always be able to tell you anything that happened to them, any time! teach them about the laws when it comes to crime like abuse! let them know that whoever touches them inappropriately will have to deal with consequences!
only this will be able to save them from certain situations! body language, posture, confidence in their voice, THESE are the things that scare possible predators away as they'll always choose those who seem to be awed, scared, compliant and obedient. a criminal will never pick a victim who will be expected to expose their sick actions without hesitate.
teach them how to properly react to predators instead of scaring them! make strong and brave individuals out of them who believe in themselves and you'll significantly decrease their chances of becoming a victim!
cutting off their freedom will do the opposite...
and keep in mind: you won't be able to protect them forever 24/7! at some point they'll make their own decisions, and then their safety will depend on their knowledge and their confidence alone.

I agree with you. You took what I said a step further which I completely agree with.
When you say you can’t protect them forever, this is true, but while they are young and vulnerable it is your job 24/7….as your kids age and you see their confidence and ability to make good judgements and understand that some people are lovely and other people can be wicked …then we as parents begin to loosen the grip and allow our children to handle certain situations. I don’t think I would ever allow my child to be put in a situation where I do not know the husband and/or wife of the sleepover they are having and hope for the best. There is no amount of confidence that can help if they are being raped. It doesn’t matter that they know the laws and consequences for predators if they are being physically overtaken. Therefore, I don’t leave room for it. But not as a child.
Me to rather be safe then sorry in this world there's to much evil ppl and you don't even know who is evil anymore,children gets molested all the time at sleepovers and most of the time it comes back to the parent as they pet there child go in the first place

I can’t believe she threw a tantrum that is so good prank for her. Dad tell me about it like I never threw a tantrum to my mom before but I have got angry when I did not want to do things but I’d still have to do it because that is the sole good for her dad sometimes we can’t so that we have to do what we don’t want to do and it’s the hard way, so cannot learn the hard way. Just learn the easy way and then your mom will have to pop you get angry just yell at you don’t whatever yeah you out because I don’t want her to yell so that’s why I listen to my mom.

Facts!! When I was younger I didn’t always understand why my mom wouldn’t allow certain things, but I THANK GOD that I have my mother that I have, and the protections and precautions she put in place when I was a child, to shield me from a lot of things. Things that I wouldn’t have been able to have insight as, as a child, but that were for my own good. ❤ Parents really do know best

I love this video so much. When my daughter was a teenager, one of her friends wanted her to sleep over. She was being raised by a single dad, and I was uncomfortable with it. I went to their home, he made lunch, we talked a lot, and got to know each other; as much as two hours will allow. With that, I said no. I would not allow my daughter to stay over for the reason(s) Shane said, and because you cannot play with your kids' lives and well-being. You cannot spot a pedophile by just looking at, or meeting him or her. Excellent job, family. Please do more of these so younger parents can continue to learn.
You're so right. Had an incident in my family where my cousins friends dad befriended not just his family but the entire extended family too including my own mom. My mom said how this friends dad was always such a friendly funny guy who became so close with the family that he was invited to family events at my cousins house. Fortunately nothing happened to my cousin.. however.. we ended up finding out that he got arrested for s**ual abusing multiple young boys around his sons age and then killing them and dumping their bodies in a nearby lake. You can imagine the shock and horror within my family finding this out and for my cousins parents who always let him go to this guy's house to sleepover with his friend.
