I know this was a prank but just because you buy something for scarlett doesn’t mean you have to always buy for London all the time & that’s vise versa . Having them grow up with that mentality she’s gonna think everytime her sister gets something she’s gonna have to get it too & that shouldn’t be the case all the time . That’s how kids become spoiled & jealous . On another note , Scarlett was so selfless in giving her sister her shoes because she felt bad 🥺 for her to be only 4 & posses that is amazing to see

Let me say this, I think how Shane and Liana raise their girls is wonderful. Making sure that neither feels left out is beautiful. Even Rob and Kristina does the same. When they buy for London, they also buy for Scarlet.
HOWEVER, growing up the way I did, I couldn’t be upset if one sibling got something and I didn’t. In fact, oftentimes that was how it was. You may have a child that needed a new pair of school shoes because the old one was too small, but the other siblings school shoes still fitted them. So in that instance, your parents would just buy something for the one who needed one. Especially if money was lacking, parents simply couldn’t afford to buy for each child each time. What a child got, was solely based on their needs, not so much wants. I am way older than Shane and Liana, and again I am speaking on what I saw growing up, even in my community in the Caribbean. Parents taught us that your turn would come, and you are not entitled to receive something each time. So while I applaud Shane and Liana, I am also wondering if this is setting a bad precedent. What if Scarlet is given an opportunity and not London? Or vice versa? How then would they deal with/manage their emotions? What if Scarlet simply needed a new winter shoe because all hers were too small, while London had 7 pairs that still fit? Does that mean she gets an 8th, just because Scarlet gets one? Everyone parents differently, but I don’t know if I would want to make this common place in my home with my children. I’ll be concerned for them in the future.

Exactly how my kids are been raised. If it's a small treat they both get but been a single mum to two boys whom love top brands and expensive phones, computers, tablets you name it and I simple can't buy both at the same time but they know that my next pay day who ever didn't get will get. Neither of them feel abused, sad or left out like Shane and liana have just promoted. I love Shane and liana but this got under my skin a touch. My kids may be growing up in a situation where I can't afford certain things for both at the same time but I'll forever be greatful it's teaching them to not be bratty or thinking their entitled. For example I got my youngest son a teddy today for £10 (he's probably too old to be carrying a Teddy around but he's got adhd but if the flashing mini mouse teddy makes him feel OK out in public then I accept that) but more to the point my eldest never said "wheres my £10 treat and the only reason I didn't buy him today is because he's already had off me a few days ago lol but it just shows I can buy my kids separate and there's no issue what so ever

Love Scarlet's response of empathy but every child should learn to be happy for the other when they get a day. If Scarlet gets a gift, London should be happy for her. My parents taught my sisters and I that and my sister did the same with her 5 kids. If we sent gifts for her boys that we got on sale, they thanked us on video call and their sister would tell us, "thank you aunty for getting these for my brothers!" And Shane should never be scolded like a child by Liana that loudly. Poor lesson Liana, sorry. London needs to know she will have special days and Scarlet will be happy for her and then the other way round. Feeling left out as a child is hard enough. Shane always has days alone with each girl where only the 1 child gets gifts on their special day. And the kids handle it VERY well and are happy for each other. This was just random and it's like buying McDonald's for just 1 child.

I think blended families have to be more intentional and careful of children’s feeling to make sure no one feels left out. Plus buying both of them the same things at times can get tricky. I remember last Christmas someone bought London and Scarlett the exact same horse/unicorn as a gift. Clearly that gift was for a much younger child like Scarlett….. but because everyone buys the same thing for each girl, London ended up with the same toddler gift that was too small for her to ride. 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️

I even teared, remembering as kids when others were given stuffs ,and others left out one would feel so bad,and had even forgotten about it,but it has taught me again whenever all give any kid something, it's better to give both same or just hold and give later if you have nothing else to offer❤

I feel for London because my dad used to do the same to me, bought stuffs for my sister and left me watching, I never really cry because at that time I was still so young and so used to that so I thought that was normal, but deep down in my heart I always knew my dad always favor my sister more.
