When I was younger my mom’s boyfriend(now Ex) kept trying to stare at me when I was in a towel and would get out the shower. I told my mom that I felt weird about it and she just said "I’m sure he was just playing with you" Like what the heck 🤦♀️!!! I love my mom with all my heart but I do wish she handled that better.

Its better to be overprotective than live with the guilt of not doing enough to protect your kids. When I was about 11, my grandad took us to the beach and forgot towels so he left us alone for 30 mins while he went back to get towels and an old man flashed me and tried to take me. I was so scared i never told anyone for years. But seriously, never leave your kids alone till they are really mentally and physically old enough to defend themselves.

The second I saw a bruise on my childs face, the children would be upstairs in the bedroom with the t.v. loud, and I would come down, walk up to him, sock him as hard as I could right in his face then called the cops on him, and then had him charged with child abuse and then he would have gotten more of what he deserved in prison. I would never let it slide, cover it up for him or consider it a mistake because you would NEVER get the chance to something like that again to my kids.
NOPE....this Mama don't play when it comes to her babies. I have never, could never and would never put my child(ren) in the position where something like this could happen to them. THAT is my job as a parent, to keep them safe and protected at all costs. Ya...I definitely would've went right to hands on with someone if they hurt my baby like that. I wouldn't have been able to keep myself collected like Liana did. I know it. I have 4 incredibly amazingly beautiful children. 16, 13, 7 and 1. I am telling you this right now, they are my whole world. I would die for them in a second. I would sacrifice or surrender anything for them. I have always made sure that no one has ever hurt them and I have protected their innocence and happiness, their true child like joy, at all costs. That has been the most important thing to me since the day my oldest was born 16 years ago. Thank God that I have a husband who feels the same way I do and who has never put any of us in a situation where we were scared or worried about being physically touched in anger. I gotta say though this one got to me man...because my childhood was the complete opposite of the childhood my children have. My main point is...I feel sorry for anyone who ever tries to or hurts one of my babies!! Or any child that I know of for that matter!!

when i told my grandmother & auntie what had happened to me as a child from a ‘family member’, to say the least i was brushed off & not believed. this is very very important. especially if your child feels comfortable enough to come to you right after or before anything even happens. this happened to me when i was 11/12 & i’m 25 now & just told them….. i was not taken seriously at all but it’s something that has affected me a lot & i felt i couldn’t come to them as a child because they would’ve blamed me. which is what they’re doing now.
I also just want to state, for everyone: always be real and honest with your children. Explain to them how no one should be touching anywhere. Have them be comfortable enough so they can always be open and honest with you to even want to tell you.
Also, teach them the CORRECT terms for all body parts. No nicknames!!
