Why does my old iPad Mini say unable to purchase? Can't download the Netflix app on my old iPad. Here is the Solution and how fix that problem with the old iPads and iPads Mini with old iOS software.
The iPad Mini 1st gen have the iOS 9.3.5 (13G36)
Model MD531LL/A
As of April 18, 2020 the latest iOS version is 13.4.1
So how do we fix the error: "Enable to purchase
“Netflix” is not compatible with this iPad"
In order to fix the issue we need another Apple device with a higher iOS version, in this video I'm using the iPhone SE with an iOS version 13.2.3
Model: MP9F2LL/A. The trick is to download whatever app we need on the device with the higher iOS and using the same Apple ID on both the iPad Mini and the iPhone SE we will force Apple to let us download the last compatible version of the app in our old iPad.
Not all apps are compatible with this trick, specially the apps created exclusively for the iPad, unless you are using another iPad with a higher iOS than the old iPad Mini.
You can also download the UA-cam App on the old iPad Mini using this exact trick.
Know you know what to do if you get the message below while trying to download the Netflix app on your old device:
"Do you want to download the last compatible version? This version of Netflix is not compatible with this device. "

Got it to work. Do not tap on the UA-cam app itself. It will open up a new window with the UA-cam app. Just tap the cloud with the down arrow from the purchased screen. It’s on the right next to the UA-cam app. Hope this helps some other people.

My brother, I was worried, because I don't like wasting money on things like this, unless it is absolutely necessary. My Ipad is very old and with gods grace it works well for very basic tasks such as: internet surfing, reading/referencing, UA-cam, NETFLIX, view LOCATIONs/MAPS and the extremely rare facetime call or iMessage.
The new iPads do the same thing, so I doesn’t make sense buy a brand upgrade. It is EXPENSIVE an POINTLESS to upgrade our devices every year, only for those basic everyday purposes. The only valid reason I feel it is ok to upgrade devices in situations where:
- the device itself is heavily damaged(both: software and physical) that it is expensive to repair,
-when someone needs the devices as a tool for productivity, work and career purposes; where the main sources of income and livelihood are mainly dependent on the latest versions and models.
