I bought an LC 500 in December, four months ago. It's the InfraRed with Toasted Caramel V-8 and it is some kind of car! However, knowing what I know now, the Hybrid would have been a much smarter choice. Yes, the exhaust sound is great on the all gas model but when you think of getting almost 600 miles to a tank of gas and not giving up that much performance, the Hybrid is the way to go. People tend to think they're going to race this car or take it to the track but let's face it....that's not going to happen. You're going to drive the car every day in traffic, obeying the laws and every now and then you'll "get on it". So for 90% + of the time, the Hybrid is more than you'll ever need. I'm not planning to sell my LC because of the fuel economy but I just wish my sensible brain would have won out over the "screw it all" part. The V-8 does get pretty good mpg but I've never owned a car that could get almost 40 mpg and still go like hell. If you're a serious buyer and considering one of these awesome cars, give it some careful thought. Don't rule out the Hybrid!!

I bought a 22 coupe same color as you and its the V8. You did the right thing. If you plan on keeping the car like i do you really did the right thing. With BEV's taking over and laws being mandated to kill ICE what we have will be highly sought after. They only make on average 2k LCs per year with only a few hundred being the h. For comparison Porsche sells on avg 9k/year of the 911. No one wants the h they all want that V8 and the NA V8's are so rare now. I love my car. I hate that transmission in the h. It just sounds bad in comparison.

I was going to say your right about ppl thinking they are going to race the car. I mean i actually do. I race and ride moto's so i drive my car like i ride my bike which is over 100mph. Ill play w/ anyone who gets uppity with me and in that i roast them all. But ill admit i could probably do 90% of that in the h and save fuel but that's not the point of this car for me. The ripping 2UR-GSE is sex to my ears.

That MPG is impressive for this car! I've only driven the V8 and the only things it does better over this is the exhaust sound and being faster with more HP. But if neither of those are that important to you, this might be a better choice because the V8 gets pretty awful fuel economy as expected. And the horsepower you get in the hybrid version is definitely enough for daily use. (I doubt anyone is taking a LC500 to the track.)

Good grief, man! Stop already about the trackpad. It's only there to setup VOICE COMMAND. You should have read the Owner's Manual like a real adult. It's all there. You simply use the trackpad to set up the infotainment system and then you tell the car what you want to do. Only children speak without thinking. Real adults read the "instructions" and then they don't make a fool of themselves. As for the seats, all you have to do is press one button, wait for the beep, say" SHOW SEAT WARMING SCREEN" and then move your little fingers about half an inch. It's no harder than using the turn signal. Too bad you couldn't tell your viewers

I think they over complicated the Transmission , a simple 6sp (no CVT) would have been more appealing for enthusiasts and long term owners (repair bills) I think they could also have done better on the hybrid system , over 40mpg and more power added to the system 400hp total
