Gael is getting better and better. It's interesting to watch him and Murray and Djokovic and the differences in where they are, all being part of the 35+ club. A year ago I thought Murray would be where Monfils is now, but it looks like Gael will be the no. 2 of this club and Murray the #3.

I was expecting more 1st set highlights. How on Earth did Monfils get to facing 20 break points and saving 18 of them all in one set? Crazy stuff. Good for him there was only one more in the other two sets.

Monfils is a genius in the court. He’s playing so much smarter. Hitting with pace, spin, soft, hard mixing it up beautifully. Cam could not get in a rhythm. Plus his movement was top notch. I hope he has the stamina to keep going.
