  • In this video, we're talking about the dos and don'ts of positioning your security cameras. While they're fantastic for safeguarding your property, you need to ensure you're not unknowingly filming your neighbors' private spaces, which could lead to legal troubles and strained relationships.
🚪 Let's start with the front doorbell camera. It's usually a safe bet since it's pointing out towards the front. Just make sure it captures your property and not your neighbor's.
🚗 The driveway camera is a must-have to monitor who's coming and going. But be cautious not to capture too much of your neighbor's yard or the road.
🌳 Now, the backyard camera is crucial for your privacy. Point it straight down to avoid unintentionally recording your neighbors' activities.
Remember, it's essential to be a good neighbor. If you notice your neighbor's cameras infringing on your privacy, politely bring it to their attention. No one wants their private parties recorded or used against them, right?
And here's the kicker: if someone's caught filming illegally, they could face fines ranging from $100 to $1000 per day. Ouch! 😱
Before setting up your DIY cameras, check your local county and city ordinances to make sure you're in compliance. It's better to be safe than sorry.
