I always heard about how Sidious intentionally made Vaders suit as painful and uncomfortable as humanly possible perhaps to fuel his dark side emotions. This may be head cannon but I wonder if Sidious created an internal funnel from Vaders ass to his nose so that every time he farts his is forced to smell his own ass. Therefore fueling his powers in the dark side
Sidious is only that brutal to Vader because he is massivly disappointed in him because he lost to Obi-Wan. Sidious wants to make sure, that Vader never forgets that loss hence why the suit is so painful and old. If he would have defeated Obi-Wan, I am kinda sure that Sidious would be "better" to him. It would be still a hard time for Vader, but for sure not as hard as that.
The only issue that I have with this story is that Yoda, Obi Wan, and Senator Bail Organa engaged in a conspiracy to coverup the existence, and the identity of the Skywalker twins from Vader and Palpatine. Why would they be so careless to leave behind a droid with intact memories of the death and the birth of Luke? Especially, when the wiped the memories of the loyal C-3PO who was there from the beginning to keep the twin’s existence a secret. 🧐🤔.
Palpatine is tormenting Vader psychologically and emotionally. I wonder what makes Palpatine so evil.
These comics are fun to read but I personally never consider them to be canon.
I always figured that Palpatine was lying to Darth vader his hole life he never had the power to save padme. It seems Darth Vader sort of came to his senses and realized it but he never did anything about it Cuz he still wouldn't stand a chance against him. If he tries to strike a move Palpatine will sense it. He can sense any anger or hatred coming to him.
