    Throughout this story arc, the things Vader endured from Sidious just made me think if Vader questioned himself in his decision to join Sidious years ago. In MY VIEW, I took the inner turmoil of Vader as actually asking himself was it worth it? He did, now more than ever hate his Master, and knowing he was in arms reach of his Son and could call out to him through the Force gave him a level of hope, strength, and belief that he could finally leave the Emperor’s side and finally act on his plans he kept hidden for so long.

    • @fredricgreenblott4169

      He absolutely questioned it. Once he found out that his children he created with Padme had survived, it made him realize that he became a sith for nothing. His newfound inner desire to save Luke from the emperor is what kickstarted his transition back to the light side.

      @@Darth-Desire You got it wrong. That wasn’t him beating Sidious. Beating Sidious would mean actually engaging in combat with him, not grabbing him from behind while he’s shooting lightning at Luke. It’s pretty simple to understand, it’s like you grabbing a liquor bottle and coming up behind a man while he’s doing whatever and smashing it on his head and then saying you beat him in a fight.

    • @Chris.Mendoza
      @Chris.Mendoza 9 місяців тому +3

      @@Darth-Desire You’re changing the argument now. I’m talking about how the two characters didn’t fight in episode 6 and now your talking about fighting fair and doing whatever it takes to win a fight. Nowhere did I mention anything about how to win a fight. Again, I’m talking about Vader actually engaging in combat. It’s really not a hard thing to understand.

    • @Chris.Mendoza
      @Chris.Mendoza 9 місяців тому +2

      @@Darth-Desire Well now we’re going back to my original comment. Personally, I definitely believe Vader could’ve been a lot stronger as a sith if not for his demons and if he could’ve overcame them but I don’t believe he could beat Sidious in saber combat or by using the force. I’ll just say this, if Vader could defeat Sidious he would’ve done so. He wanted to kill Sidious when he found out that Luke was his son , he wanted to kill Sidious in episode 5 when he told Luke that he can destroy him so overthrowing Sidious was definitely on his mind and yet it never happened because Vader knew damn well he could not take on Sidious.

    • @halloweenjack95
      @halloweenjack95 8 місяців тому

      Well let's think about it.
      One of the reasons Vader never truly tried to challenge him is because his Suit is sensitive to force Lighting.
      On top of that Palpatine mentally abused Vader anytime he could. So despite being extremely powerful and arguably the greatest duelist ever, he was still ALWAYS doubting himself. He rarely truly believed in himself.
      So when it comes to the force Vader would have likely lost an encounter but if he are talking about a lightsaber duel, vader could have beaten him actually beaten him. And I am not talking about a half assed trainings duel like they did in the canon but if Vader truly would have tried to kill him.

    So did Vader somehow see Padme saying "there's still good in him" but not see the twins being born, which happened seconds before that?
    If he did it would break continuity, as he's not supposed to know about Leia till ROTJ.
    I like these extra bits of info we get from books and comics but they do get precariously close to messing with cannon sometimes.

    It would've been better if Vader got so enraged that he choked Mas Amedda and the red guards and tossed them out the window. Then slammed Sidious into a nearby wall, cracking it. Palpatine would cackle then break out of his grip and force choke Vader as Mas Amedda crawled back in managing to survive. Palpatine would then crush Vader's limbs and dump him on Mustafar.

    Great video, but I don't agree and don't like this story at all.
    Even if the Emperor manipulates Vader (we all agree on this point), he shows him some "respect" in RoTJ. Remember the many times he calls him "my friend".
    Those stories, made to be "insane" have no sense (to me) according to what is showed in the Original Trilogy. The old canon, as showed in Shadows of the Empire was so much consistent, showing this "respect" the Emperor gives to Vader but also Vader's fear of him, without all this fantasy...
