This is just great! I need the w,fall dish and pump but in Australia. I have not seen it here yet but have stayed away from buying too much more. It is a wonderful hobby and always to be enjoyed. That is why I like it and stay home! Am 80y and am still going strong. Richard
You are my man MATE! I got waterfalls all over the place with ponds to keep some fishes and me happy. Had this hobby for years and You are giving the best instructions and I have watched many. Hooked, yes I am but I have the time and patience and the sound of water as backgroundmusic is just relaxing. Richard in Australia
You Yanks are prompt. Replies are no problems! God knows You are fine and Your instructions are heavenly the best. God knows and does instruct me but also does say "get on with it, do not waste a minute" Do I follow? Of course not, but there is so much to do. So where next? Just be happy!
I recently started playing with pumps. I built a rain waterfall off my carport into a 6 ft oval feeding trough with a 3000 GPH Harbor Freight Sump Pump, very Tranquil. Also built my first Magic Fountain with a 180 gph from HF, so far very impressed. I want to do a spillway as well, think I'll make my own out of sheet metal.
Thank you. I want to make a small back yard waterfall, but other videos didn't have a simple explanation of how the pump works. I look forward to seeing your next video.
I'm about to go back to my hometown and am excited to have my own pondless waterfall. I've got 1500HJ pump and I hope this could be a great waterfall maker... thanks for sharing sir.
just make one out of a dust pan and some clever rockwork underneath, it gives a wider falls and has space to put filter cotton and it is cheap as dirt.
i like it. im gonna try the HF pump and one with more gallins per hour im plannin a tall one. ill leave the little one runnin and photoeye and bypass switch the bigger pump.
Pump is rated at 620 gph, I guarantee that pump is not pushing 600 gph with that height head and amount of 20 feet of tubing. But still looks really good.👍🏻😎
I started over. But simple you don't think that size pump could be moving that much water. I was headed to Har freight to get same pump but mine would just for a little spitter frog water feature. Thank u mark
Can you put a splitter in the line and also connect 2 water spitters to the same line use the same pump ? What GPM pump would you use? Building 1 now .
I wanna build a rc indoor track With a 1ft wide 8ft long 3inch deep " creek " thru the middle The table is 43inchs tall And I'd be putting a 55gallon trash can under the table as the feed. How much gph would I need and what would you recommend for the return at the other end . I was thinking taking a hole saw and making a 3inch hole and making a spout to a hose back to the can
what kind of 220 ~volt adjustable flow waterfall pump should i get for a indoor 25 liter aquarium glass tank. the pump must be placed outside of the tank, and have adjustable flow rate. im sorry for this stupid question. im new in this aqua fish world.
It was very loud worked great but very loud!! So my fish would have been drove nuts i ended up getting a 400 gal a hr for a 80 gal tank for $35 and i figure i can get two later on and it would give me more for less cause with the 620 gal pump i was going to need a bunch of stuff to build a diy filter would have came to $104
That falls is so much money because it has the word 'Pond' on it. Same with pond pumps. Not sure what else you can use for a water falls but if you use a sub pump that would be cheaper. Type in DIY water falls and see what UA-cam has that would be cheaper.
+David “Waitwutmyname” Hager Yes, these types of pumps must be completely submerged to work. They cannot draw water up a line, they can only push it from a submerged location.
I can’t for the life of me get the attachments to fit or know how to put them together. The manual is terrible and just shows the parts but I can’t get them to screw in. Ugh . Can’t final anyone showing these simple steps.
+High Hopes Correct, with 600gph flow if you let it fall that entire height it will rejoin itself. Most waterfalls will have steps and this would have the first step half a foot under it. If you need it to be flat the entire way you'll have to step up the flow rate a lot.

Enjoy! Check out my video for the TetraPond UV sterilizer to get a nice view of the ponds.

Yeah I know I completely agree I don't know why they're so expensive

Alex Lubbers Yes, that can be done as well. There are many things that would work fine.
Great idea.
i like it.

How is the hose attached to the pump ? I’m guessing you used an attachment from the set and clamped it on ?
The pump has barbed fittings, you just push it on.
I keep getting a small / narrow spill ... V-shaped and not wide ... help plz ! lol
You need more water pressure, bigger pump.

Does harbor freight have a inline filter or something to filter the water here?
Do I need to get a pump that reads waterfall pump
Will this be a good pump for a 125 gallon pond or too much
It should work fine for the waterfall into it.
Is it very noisy under water? This will be going in a fish tank and i don't want something that is crazy anoying for the fish
No louder than other pumps. You can hear it hum, that's it.
It was very loud worked great but very loud!! Nesecito el nombre de la base en español muchas gracias
How this purchase this pumps please share links 🙏🏻
is there a link to the ponds adn waterfalls that you do? Id like to see that
Where's the video for the waterfall project?
Never got to it, built a massive project with two ponds and a big filter/waterfall, needed a way bigger pump.
That falls is so much money because it has the word 'Pond' on it. Same with pond pumps. Not sure what else you can use for a water falls but if you use a sub pump that would be cheaper. Type in DIY water falls and see what UA-cam has that would be cheaper.
Don't forget to account for the efficiency of the pump or you may end up paying far more in electric costs on a cheap pump.
Does it need to be submersed to work?
+David “Waitwutmyname” Hager Yes, these types of pumps must be completely submerged to work. They cannot draw water up a line, they can only push it from a submerged location.

They just screw in. You may be missing a part if they don't just screw together.
Has the pump gave out already
Yup, it died a long time ago. Using a more industrial water fall pump now.
Can I put some bio rocks in them? For the extra filtration?
+Dorito Rex You could but they would quickly clog or get pushed out of the waterfall.
What happened if they were in a net? The ponies at the bottom while the biorocks in the net on the top?
Is the pump attached to the pipe
Yes
And also what is the pipe you used called
pls give me more details
Your great but Harbor Freight not so much
If you have to pay 40-100 bucks for that thing ur in the wrong place brotha
forms a V, doesn't fall flat. me no likey
