Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN) episode 192: Corpse Killer (3DO). Corpse Killer is a game released for the Sega CD, Sega CD 32X, 3DO, Sega Saturn, Windows 95 and Macintosh computers that features live-action full motion video in a format similar to other games developed by Digital Pictures. It was later remastered for Steam, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. But the Nerd is playing it on the 3DO. In the game, an unnamed United States Marine is airdropped onto a tropical island on a top secret mission to stop the evil Dr. Hellman, who plans to release his army of zombies on the world. He is bitten by a zombie and also meets an attractive female reporter and a Rastafarian male driver. Four of the marine lieutenant's comrades are captured by Hellman and turned into zombies. To rescue them, the lieutenant infiltrates Hellman's compound and shoots each of them with bullets coated with extract from Datura plants, which can turn freshly-created zombies back into humans.

@@Reithierion You might be thinking of the wrong one, I didn't even know that one existed, but thanks for mentioning it anyway.
I thought the reference would be to the Sylvester Stallone movie, and the games based on it. I played I think a Genesis version of it, and I just remember it being hard. Or maybe I was just horrible at games then.
The best part about the HD re-release of this game is the ludicrous amount of bonus features included. Seriously, there's hours of behind-the-scenes footage, it's more interesting than the game itself!
And I love it. Also the girl actress 🥰🥰🥰
Is that true of Night Trap HD, and Double Switch HD too?
@@beauwalker9820 Night Trap has a bunch of interesting bonus bits, including some documentary-style videos if I remember correctly. Not quite to the level of Corpse Killer, but in Corpse Killer's case it seems like they kept a huge record of the production.
As for Double Switch HD, I'm not too sure!
Cool!
This game got way more ports than I'd expect for something as derpy as this.
As I understood it growing up (admittedly I could be way off), the Sega CD basically used the genesis for the graphics processing, so the CD/32X games were games for the Sega CD that were coded to use the 32 bit processor instead of the 16 bits the Genesis provided.
Vincent Schiavelli was also in Tomorrow Never Dies, where he played an assassin. His character wasn’t a Corpse Killer, but after Bond shot him, he left behind a Killer Corpse.
Don't forget about when he played one of the bad guys in the Gilligan's Island TV movie.

When you base your final boss fight on the one from Hong Kong '97...
Hate to spoil the joke, but this came out before Hong Kong 97.
@@beauwalker9820 😬 oops. I guess Hong Kong 97 stole the idea from Corpse Killer. Considering Deng died in 1997, perhaps there is something to that theory! 🤣
