    It must be hard on your gear and hands working frozen ground like that. While others wait for the thaw the digdigdig team are out there finding pockets. The fish bowl (thingie) lens is cool, it took a little getting used to but it takes the wobble and scatter out of the video and kind of floats which is awesome. Great work Shawn and pretty finds once again 🌟👍🏼

    It would be great, the crystals all cleaned up. It's kind of hard to get a good look at them in the video,. I am in Californa atm but am from Reading Pa. I think it's great your finding Crystals. :)

    This makes me really want to go crystal mining. I can't think of a place here in Indiana to do that, though.

    but seriously though he is hammering into that very carelessly

    • @DigDigDig
      @DigDigDig  5 років тому +3

      The clay was frozen, and most of the exact spots I was hammering into had little to no crystals....the crystals were mostly just to the right or to the left....I was riding the line of the meat of the pocket...which was mostly just small to medium points and clusters.

      Jason Patrick. Your probably from a place like Florida or Southern California where you get no ice. If he hit soft, the ice wouldn’t break away and he’d be there for twice as long. He was also hammering to the side of the vain, not in it where you’d find the best crystals

      Yes it absolutely is. Roots love the clay too because it holds moisture.

    My mom grew up there and there use to be big beautiful caves she would find and go into and collect a bunch of AMAZING crystals that some has never seen before. Now it's a shame because people tore them caves out to build. Sad ....if only they knew what they destroyed.

    I've been to McAdoo a couple times and would be really interested to know how you find an actual pocket/seam? Are you at the echo?

      I have found I can get into the pit. Putz around. Find lots of little points. I can find old seams folks seem to have found. I am certain many pockets remain but thus far I only find smalls.

      For Pennsylvania quartz, this was an average to above average pocket..Herkimer area NY & Arkansas are a bit more productive than PA for quartz crystals.

    Blur, gloves. More blur and a headache trying to spot the crystals. Train your camera person, get a better camera, do something, or honey, don't bother filming.
