@@leeoliver391 I find this tends to get less with more wear, as quite some of that fluff is often material the trousers themselves shed off when they're still new. In general, I don't find it to be too bad, though, and I wear corduroy quite often in the winter. When I was younger, I hated corduroy, it was the epitome of stuffy 70s "chic". I still remember my parents' brown corduroy couch and how awful that thing looked to me. Nowadays I own a three piece suit that looks pretty much like it. I just love that it's a fabric with some interesting texture and substantial weight that doesn't look "off" even in more unusual colors. It's great fpr layering in fall and winter.
I didn’t notice the fluff even on dark colors. How often have you washed your cords? Are they Fort Belvedere? I have all 14 colors and never noticed any issues with them
I have Black, Light Brown, Dark Brown, Tan, Hunter Green and Burgundy corduruy SPORTSCOATS. They are excellent. They go with any casual outfit and pair well with will sweaters/vest and knit ties.
While I thnk that Raphael is a total maniac for bringing that much luggage (I always try to avoid bringing more than two pieces including the carry-on) and I personally would have left about half of his choices at home, may I just say what a fantastic looking combination that jacket/waistcoat with those corduroy trousers are? Very classy, very much a country "chic" that I really like. Also, I will never miss an opportunity to applaud that wine colored waistcoat and of course the beautiful houndstooth three-piece - probably my favorite choice of all the outfits I've ever seen in any of the videos on this channel.
Love the color of your trousers Rafael and your whole colorful wardrobe 👍and that 3 piece suit is gorgeous, the “action back”style jacket, very 1940s💜👍👍would love to see some more thrifting finds from you two gentlemen
Jack, I love your suit. I also love your dress shirt with French Cuffs. I’m a huge fan of French Cuffs as I wear them all the time. I love your eyeglasses and I’m wondering where I can find those frames. I wear tuxedos a lot and I would love to have a set of glasses to wear with mine.
While I always bring a spare underwear, socks, and shirts on carry-on, I would prefer to pack more clothes than underwear and socks because those are mostly universal and cheap to purchase in a bind as opposed to a shirt, trousers, tie, etc
Who do you guys film for when in Italy? I don't think I've seen any videos from your channel in Italy. I'd be curious to see what you did while at Pitti Uomo in Florence, any interesting men's store you visited ect! Shopping in Germany or Austria would be interesting too! Are you going to release videos from Italy? Are you going to release any videos from your GG weekend event last fall in Minneapolis?
We film for our channel! Stay tuned for more on our event last fall, in the meantime you can see the other videos we made in Italy starting here: www.gentlemansgazette.com/pitti-uomo-105-overview/?
Raphael isn't much of a wristwatch guy, but is known to wear an Apple watch for its functionality and health tracking purposes. You can see the wristwatches I brought to Pitti Uomo in this video: www.gentlemansgazette.com/jack-packing-pitti-uomo/? - Jack
Raphael - pick a time when you will not be interrupted and are in a mood for quiet introspection to watch this video again. Pay close attention to how many times you interrupt or talk over your very polite associate. In some cases you co-opt a line of thought that he initiated. Think about how you would feel if someone did that to you.
Cashmere dickies under your shirt to protect your neck from the cold. It looks like you are wearing a turtleneck but without the bulk & weight. If it gets to warm you can take it off easily without undressing. A good, lightweight, functional travel hack that spans a range of temperatures.
Both outfits have different moods and vibes. Perhaps the green one fits the image of him better in your mind, but I personally think both fits him great!
Glad to hear you enjoy my green DB suit! This three-piece is a little more traditional than I might usually like nowadays, but it was a great price when I picked it up (hard to say no, sometimes!) - Jack
@gentlemansgazette Agreed. But the green is more than a nice piece. It wears you. It gives off Jack vibes in spades. Embrace your very own style and other will too.
No one like taking off their shoes at the airport? Travel trhough Detroit Metro sometimes. Everybody (except TSA Pere-Check) has to take their shoes off. It is very annoying.
Nice choices! To both gentlemen, please remember to shave the back of your neck at least every other day, preferable each day. Nothing ruins a great look as quickly as a hairy neck over the shirt collar.
Jack needs more airtime on the channel. He’s brilliant!
I wash this channel just to know what to buy for the men in my life. I've been studying men's fashion ever since. Excited for Pitti Uomo!
I would love to see a tour of Raphael's new closet!
I second that
Boy, do I need a pair of corduroy trousers. Mr. Schneider pulls it off so well 🔥
They attract SO much fluff in daily use!! Don't get black or dark blue. I deeply regret it myself haha

Can I say this I like how Raphael Falls love the older camera rules one of them is never take your jacket off when you're on camera

Love this series! Thanks for sharing.
Glad to hear you like it! 🙌
very great video inspiring and informative, i liked it so much
I need a Kama Sutra jacket 😂
The interlining on that navy jacket is crazy. As much as love actions backs i don't think i could buy that

Mostly my shirt are ocbd and French cuff and my suit are flannel and my shoes are sip on when on tritp
German of one gentleman is top notch.

Ah, sorry I must of missed this video, thanks!
What style do you call those jacket pleats?
Shooting pleats
What about your wristwatches that you brought?

The Kama Sutra is also classic Indian metaphysics text. Don't worry I take my folding recumbent bike.
30:09 Team no undershirt unite! 👍
Can you provide more info on the tuques?
Bought on e-Bay?

Good
That lining is crazy 💀

Jack, I'm not digging that three piece suit right now. You rocked your green suit like a boss. Own that look please. It suits you like a glove.

When can we get a video about “What men REALLY wore in the 1890s” ? 😃
It'll come someday...

I went to Italy one month late😂
The neon red overcheck somehow ruins the 70s Jacket for me...
😢
Yes - orange I could deal with. But that shade of red is too much for the overcheck.
@@dandiehm8414 It is not as strong in person, but definitely on the bolder side.
