you could use the dev tool in runelite and show npc id and the npcid 1067 in the confused beast room will always be the attackble (atleast it should always be the same npc id)
I want to add that Runelite has a plugin called Quest Helper. It will mark the correct black holes and the correct Confusion Beast. It turns this quest from a 20+ min quest to under 10 minutes.
A tip on the confusion room, you can tag the ones youve tried to attack so you dont get confused (ha) using Shift + right click -> tag (if using runelite)

I would not use initiate armour unless you're like 20 defence, I did it at 43 defence with red dhides and bone bolts and didn't eat a single piece of food
I did this with 3 lobsters went in blind and tanked the little boss at the end im combat level 56 only for rough at the end i wore full guthix rune and guthix rune scimmy
Thought level 50 would be high enough. Nope. Don’t listen to Slayer. Bring an entire inventory of fucking food Edit: Slayer failed to mention you can literally just leave the final boss and come back with more food. Sat for about an hour waiting for my shit to recharge before I figured that out

The higher your combat level, the faster you can complete it. 24 minutes at cb 62. Probably like 15 minutes at cb 100

im max combat and destroyed this quest using a magic shortbow and black dhide
