Ground News's Blindspotter has been a new guilty pleasure of mine. Since accepting the ad deal, I have been blindspotting literally everyone. Guess what? It's what you thought. All of the woke people that accuse everyone of living in an echochamber pretty much only interact with the left on Twitter. Whereas everyone who speaks out against wokeness is way closer to the center. Hell, I BARELY just started using twitter a few months ago so I mostly just talk to my friends and viewers instead of interacting with creators in general because I don't fully understand the platform yet. BUT EVEN I come out as more towards the center than every breadtuber who has called me a radical over the past month.
Edits: People have pointed out that Amy did not actually make the cakes. As far as I have researched, people allege that some of the cakes were made by other people and some of the cakes were made by her. That kind of makes sense. It's strange to be good enough to impress Ramsay with food and then fuck up by under cooking pizza which uses the same cooking medium. Maybe she made the cakes, maybe she didn't. She probably didn't but I ask on that particular point that you take my argument in the spirit that it was intended. Katy said their kitchen was super clean in a Reddit AMA so they still did get something right.
Other people were saying that Samy was a member of the mob and this restaurant was a money laundering scheme. I can't find any information to verify that but that is a much more believable story then him building custom houses. In all fairness, people in construction generally aren't the most polite people but there was no way Samy was able to organize a team of people to build enough houses to make him wealthy. Amy apparently has a criminal history though. That makes sense.
Are you going to make a rebuttal to Ludwig's video on you? I usually like him but his points were pretty weak.
Waddup TBYS, its been a minute! Thanks for the upload looking forward to the next one and more of your observations!
Stay you bro. Stay you bro. I like you for you.
I wouldn’t even bother with Twitter. Just hearing about and seeing videos on UA-cam what the people are like on there and the kind of environment it has is enough for me to never ever create an account.

I personally hate parents that threaten their kids when they give an opinion. When the kid grows up they'll be unable to answer basic questions like "what do you want?"
Ouch so true but
I would say it depends. Of course Parents that always do that are shit at their Job, but sometimes you just have to give an Ultimatum. Or your kid will grow up spoiled. For example eat your healthy food first before you get dessert or, if you dont do your homework no computer time for you.
@@samyheadshot I totally agree, I'm just think more on the scale of a parent that never let's there kid think critically to form their own opinion. Eventually they just lose the ability to go against people.

What you don't know is, Amy was convicted for social security fraud and spent a year in prison according to news, and Sammy is apparently also a criminal in the sense that he got deported because of not disclosing his criminal past from Europe when moving, which doesn't surprise me for either of them.
It was suspected that the restaurant was a front for money laundering.
They are Israel's problem now. And I don't feel sorry for either of them
You can almost see the good side in these lizards ... Don't let their good sides fool you, they're evil
@@lainiwakura1776 Drawing attention to yourself like they did makes that seem unlikely to me. They could just have been shitty criminal people who made a shitty restaurant without criminality.
@@cole8834 not really. Just ask Pablo Escobar. He had PLENTY of businesses that weren't making money like a bicycle repair shop or a taxi company but it was all for show just to try to mask the real source of his wealth. Same with these people. That, and they get an ego boost, especially her.
After that show aired, it was later revealed that Amy didn't make those desserts, cakes, and other baked goods. They were all made elsewhere and just repackaged for the restaurant. She didn't bake/cook them and just lied when Gordon liked it and asked her about making them.
Really?? That's ridiculous!
That's amazing.
Don't know why anyone believe her on the bake goods. She can't make a simple pizza but yet we are to believe she make complex delicious desserts. Never trust a clean apron Baker.
That's the case for most places. It's just easier to bring in desserts from outside made by people who specialize in them
@@spencerstevens2175 Yea, that is fine except that Amy claimed that she made them and tried to pass them off as hers. It's fine if she does that, but when she tries to pass it off as not being made out of house and as her own baking then it is a problem. Especially when she makes it a point to talk about how Gordon liked *her* baking.
"no male chefs, their ego is too big and my kitchen is too little so they leave, i show them the door."
Just whaou...imagine if a male manager shamelessly admit on a public show not hiring any women because he think they're retarded or something...his business would crumble into Oblivion and he would go straigth to court. But hey, abuse thrives when abusers are told they're in their right.
I know this is an older thread, but when the playing field has goal posts that constantly shift whenever someone is outraged, what do you expect? No "male chefs" might as well be rephrased to "I don't want someone who might actually tell me in wrong and stand up to me. I want someone who will feel they are weaker then me, thus making me feel better about myself".
The old saying "Rules for thee but not for me" are said for a reason. With all the feminist rhetoric and "stupid male" social conditioning, if a man did truly not want to hire women because he felt they didn't do the job right? He would be cancelled faster than Google to a hate speech segment. Double standard.
Amy's Baking Company also crumbled into oblivion. It doesn't exist anymore. So the double standard you're trying to point out doesn't really exist.
And literally the entire internet was dunking on these two for years. Where did you get the impression that people were telling them they were right?
@@npc_758 That happens with all of the kitchens that go viral. People want to see for themselves if the restaurant really is that bad, or if it's improved at all. It has nothing to do with people condoning the owner's behaviour.
@@thelemurofmadagascar9183it collapsed because of the bad food and service though not the sexism. Unless theres some evidence of any major backlash to her deciding to only hire women you can point to

Amy is one of those people who looks super familiar even though you've never seen her before.

The reason he doesn’t want anyone but him working the register is because he is afraid of theft. He is projecting his insecurities onto them. Same with her. She can’t have ego in the kitchen because of her own ego.

I worked at a salon years ago where the manager micromanaged everything, we weren’t allowed in the register and all the records were locked up. We all just thought she was a psycho b but in the end it turned out she was skimming money and altering records. She always accused people of stealing but in the end it was only her.
@@IK-wc4od probably, it's hard to believe that someone was able to make tons of money but lacks the basic skills to run a restaurant, the basic recipe for a successful business is "good location"+"marketing"+"good customer service "+" good product"+"clean environment"+"reasonable prices" but their motto is "shut up and give me your money or get out"
18:12 I can't imagine blowing up at someone for asking "are you sure" literally a second after you just mixed up two things

It's just raw contrarianism. Amy was just telling that poor girl everything she didn't want to hear. She doesn't want to be in trouble? She's fired. She accepts that she's fired and is about to leave? She's not allowed to leave, she hasn't been yelled at enough. Amy is a legitimate psychopath.
The defining characteristic of an abuser is that they process their emotions externally by taking them out on other people, making it someone else's burden.
A good perception.
I had teachers and family members do this, once you learn and spot it right away its becomes really clear. Gaslighting I think is the term
@@reinhartgregory Gaslighting is when you make someone question their reality. Like forcing them to believe something didn't happen when it clearly did
@@Ash_Wen-li I think the term qualifies, if perhaps weakly. For example, a common refrain in scenarios like this is something like "Why are you taking this personally? I thought you were my sounding board." A person feels abused but is being told that the abuser is just letting off steam, not targeted at the abused.
Emotions are evil

The part about efficiency in food service was so accurate. I worked in food for 7 years and managed a kitchen for about a year. Time is everything. I have since worked in meat and it's very much the same way. Efficiency is super key. Even just walking back and forth a second time to grab something is a waste of precious time. In kitchens especially it is too important because hungry people are waiting for their food

what one of the store managers I've worked for said about "the customer is always right" is that it doesn't apply to individual customers but your entire customer base i.e. if you sell a kind of tool and people aren't buying stop selling it, same if people are trying to buy something you don't sell
Very well stated. I will have to remember that.
Had a situation eons ago when I worked at Sears and a Karen wanted to apply multiple coupons on the same purchase, even though they all stated "one per customer, per purchase." She whipped out the CIAR on me, demanded to speak to a supervisor, who then told her that the "one per" was on every coupon, and that corporate wouldn't allow mixing them. Karen chose the best one, paid and stormed out. The next time she came in, she had all the same coupons but had trimmed them so the small print wasn't there. The manager came down and asked her not to return. _That_ was a great place to work. Sadly they went under because corporate refused to listen to on-the-ground reports from individual stores.
I had a pizza manager who wouldn't let a customer scream at the whole store, told them to leave and threatened to call the cops. That was a cool guy.
@@HelghastStalker Additionally, when you get these Karens who want to be served _without_ paying, they cease to be customers by default.

"imagine being a kid having parents who retaliate against you or tries to hurt you if you give them any sort of bad news or assert your own opinion" wasn't expecting you to describe my whole childhood. My mom goes HARD, screaming, yelling, threatening herself or me, name-calling (like calling me a demon for asking her to stop oversharing everything with me/trying put up some healthy boundaries) , and it goes further, she does this too if I demonstrate any emotion that doesn't align with hers at any moment. To this day I still have frequent nightmares about her
I recently went to a pizzeria and was served a margherita. She was so awful that I tasted 3 bites and asked for the bill. The waiter asked me if everything was fine and I just said that it didn't suit me (the objective was to spend a quiet evening so I wasn't going to start to quibble).
The owner came over to ask why it was wrong, I kindly told him my first review, that there was too much mozzarella and it probably wasn't real mozzarella. I don't have time to finish my sentence when he said like "yeah ok" and left. He came back shortly after to tell me that the pizza is free, so I asked him if he wanted my criticism or not, he replied "because you think you can do better perhaps?" condescendingly and insultingly. My parents and I being big fans of cooking, and especially pizza for my father, we have a professional pizza oven and my father makes superb ones every week. So I answered him "Yes, yes I can do much better". He started to get angry and let out 2-3 insults, I just laughed a little and left without adding anything.
I don't understand how one can't take criticism, improving should always be important.
And the larger point is that there are other restaurants in the area that can do better, and that fool needs to remember that.
Today I went to a restaurant for some mid-afternoon kielbasa and pierogies, sat down in the lobby on the bench under the "Please Wait to Be Seated" sign and for almost 10 minutes not a single staff member acknowledged my presence while other customers entered after me and were seated. Luckily there are other similar restaurants in other parts of town so I was able to go there, but not until after I informed the staff of my displeasure and that I was going to one of these other places. KURWA!
Democrats don’t like to be told anything different than what they are emotionally invested in.
A pizza is really hard to mess up if you’re using fresh ingredients. If you can’t even eat it then something is terribly wrong.
Yes. It's like it's stated in the vid, when ya rise to a position w/out working to achieve that position it often results in entitled, selfish fools who don't appreciate nor can see a reason for improvement. People such as them already think they're better than everybody else so why should they need to improve.
On the other hand, people who spend their lives working toward something are usually constantly seeking to improve and get better at their craft, trade, hobby, art, talent, skill, or whatever else, and maybe that somehow opens them up to and makes them less defensive about receiving criticisms or something like that. It's a personality trait, or a frame of mind, and it's a shame but not everyone's mentally healthy and morally responsive, not in these days.
First thing I noticed in the vid, when TBYS mentioned a husband and wife, I wondered if I had missed something 'cause when I looked up at the screen it looked like a grandfather w/ his granddaughter. I knew it was gonna be another good ep. w/ some really wacky people once I realized that wasn't a misconception on my part. At least the corrupt and crazy ones make for some great comedy and entertainment, as corrupt as it may be of me to admit this, lol, but w/ the way the world is, what else can ya really do but laugh and enjoy the show?
Yeah, I was at a restaurant and I waited to be seated. It wasn't busy and I saw workers sitting around. I decided to quietly leave.
I remember this episode, if Gordon Ramsey told me my food sucks, I'd probably listen, not yell and scream and tell him his wrong
It's frustrating to think that so many struggling restaurant owners could benefit immensely from Chef Ramsey's guidance, the money the show will spend to renovate/improve their restaurant, and the exposure they will get from being featured on the show, and this crazy couple chose to waste airtime with their shenanigans.

Tipping culture is disgusting BUT if you pay a server hourly and dont tell customers tips aren’t accepted and instead give those tips to the owner, that is disgusting.
How come you think tipping culture is disgusting? Jus curious
@@TheBestofJuan because the customer is guilt tripped into tipping to pay the employees wage. I once waited almost an hour for a pizzeria to make me a pizza that I paid for. After a while I asked for my money back because it was taking too damn long. The guy gave me a refund without even an apology or even bothered to look at me at all. I never went back because a MUCH better pizzeria opened down the street soon after. People's pride is sometimes far too powerful to get any sense in their thick skulls. That pizzeria deserves to be closed down!
Man, I'm pretty sure it's not only me getting excited every time i see TBYS uploads a video... Mad respect for the psycological analysis you do on every video, and the ability to call out on what needs to be called out and give props on what needs to be given... There is a girl who lives in the apartment above me and she is exactly like this. I get a front row seat to at least the noise of how she handles all of her relationships. No wonder they end so quickly.
Poor guys
a lot of guys dodging a bullet
What I find most surprising is that she was like that while being filmed. Usually these people are angels in front of the camera. It shows how right she thinks she is to abuse customers, insult them, threaten them and even want to hurt them by preparing food for them.
I empathize with these two. Foodphobia is a major problem.
I'm 19 and just getting over a relationship that ended with me getting dumped about a month ago. She hit me one time. Just a single isolated incident which should have warned me about her but she was my first real girlfriend and my first kiss so I was really attached to her. I believed desperately that she would grow and mature into the perfect partner if I just stuck around. Maybe I'd help her along. I had friends who even warned me about her, but they just didn't know her like I did. This is all coming from someone who thought he had learned from other people's mistakes. I thought for sure that if I was making a mistake or doing anything wrong, I would notice, and I would avoid making any terrible relationship decisions. I was wrong. In the end her breaking up with me as early as she did was the best possible outcome, but dang was I distressed about it for a while afterward.
Any time someone hits you in a relationship they are “testing the waters” to see how you respond to violence. You passed her test by minimizing it so you were the perfect victim
If she hadn’t dumped you she would have slowly escalated and unlike men who often escalate far too early and make the pattern very obvious, women tend to be far more patient and calculated, it probably would’ve been a year before she hit you again but those intervals of non-violence would continue to shrink over time
Believe people when they SHOW you who they are, don't tolerate abuse in any way.
Be grateful, it's much worst when you live with an abusive gf and she doesn't want you to leave to keep abusing you
I know this is a few days old but I've been in your exact same position just for a bit longer. I really want to thank you for speaking up and telling us random strangers this :D it's always nice knowing I'm not alone in these struggles (as I also had a very bad upbringing) so I don't have too many friends or people I can really have these conversations with ppl or even just hear someone speak up abt it. You're not alone brother I hope you were able to take all that happened in stride it's not easy and it can be so sad and lonely and especially hard to maintain motivation and positivity towards anything else after such a thing. Once again thank you for the insight 🙏🏽 best of luck !

True i used to work at a bakery that made sandwiches, and each sandwich/wrap had a ridiculous amount of options you could choose from. People would get so mad because you had to customize every single part of the sandwich from this entire list of options and it would take forever to get through the list of items. they went out of business

With experince, let me tell you how bad it is having parents that punish you severaly for any bad news you bring.
I ended up becoming a huge liar, that I am still trying to get rid of, but still struggle to stop lieing. I never told my parents anything bad when somthing bad did happen and always made lies, where practically 90% of my conversations with my parents is me lieing.
I gotten so use to it that I now lie without even thinking about it, and I try to stop it, but I find it very hard to.

Oh man, that's going to take a while
There was a rumour she ordered in the cakes. I said years ago if she was making them, she could have just sold the cakes, pies and pastries, as well as hot drinks, and maybe some sandwiches, soup of the day, or hot meat pies or something as a savoury option. Easy. Prep it all in the morning so it just needs to be dished up, and then two people could probably run it. One on til, one on coffee. Maybe one person to assist with clearing and plating during the busy periods.
It's not a rumor it's revealed in the show.
Knew a local café owner who made that stuff for her business. She did gang busters profit, put her kids through college. Great food. She and her husband retired to Fiji.
It was pretty obvious that she didn't actually make those luxury cakes when her food bombed in every other area. It would be like someone passing a calculous class with flying colors, while not knowing addition. It's clear as day that you cheated. It's makes no sense you couldn't do the basics, and then excelled with the advanced, professional work.
I have to say, when she was talking about making that food spicy, A LOT of chefs, cooks, and/or restaurant owners talk negatively about their customers. Years of doing it does that to you. They can be some of the worst people, whether they're paying your or not. The biggest thing is don't let them hear you.
I’ve worked for people like this. They are borderline criminals.
And I had parents like this, which caused me to be on the border of self deletion for years. People, PLEASE take TBYS’s advice and get away from abusers. They will kill you.
He didnt say 4 hrs a week. He said 4 hrs last quarter, so 4 hrs in 3 months.
11:15 He specifically says "4 hours a week last quarter". Which can possibly mean that one one week in the last quarter he worked 4 hours and that was the only work he did last quarter, or it can mean that he worked 4 hours "per" week in every week last quarter. I suspect he meant the latter, but in any case he is a sloppy speaker. In addition to being a shit lazy engineer.
True, I went to a milkshake place and the cashier took the order and asked for a tip. He didn't even make the milkshake he took 5 seconds to type in a brownie milkshake into a computer.

Yeah fuck that, I don’t give tips to lazy or rude fuckers
Those employeeless little convenience stores ask for a tip when you check yourself out... Who am I supposed to be tipping exactly? Theres no one here but me...
Also they save money by having no employees to serve you but they dont pass the savings onto the customer. The bottle of watet is still damn near 5$ and you have the nerve to ask for a "tip?" Thats just a voluntary surcharge. Certainly no one is dumb enough to actually pay extra money in such a situation right? But you know SOMEONE does...
Saw the thumbnail and had to watch. This episode is infamous among Ramsey fans
I just love when some owners/managers tells Gordon Ramsay, AKA 5-Star chef and restaurant chain owner, that its their whole life. Like yeah no crap. It is Gordons life too. Difference being Gordon took criticism.
Yeah her shit shop closed up. Only 21% of the restaurants on Gordon’s show survive. Although, good riddance, it’s always because people aren’t actually ready to change their businesses and so his advice falls on deaf ears.
I'm flabbergasted by how those two acted - about the most unprofessional, anticonsumer tirades I've seen. The attempted gaslighting was something to behold, and the shuttering of the business was an inevitability.
As you say, I hope they got their shit together, but the mind boggles at what could have been, had they humbled themselves to Mr. Ramsay's hard-won wisdom.
As always, thanks for sharing with us.
In the Middle East any similar critisism may leave you in a hospital if not in a cemetery!
I guess they just wanted patrons to touch the exotic side without traveling far!

Love the video. Dont know if you know this but it was later revealed that the cakes that gordon originally praised amy for were revealed to be bought in so they could then ship them to the few coustomers they had that would order the deserts. So the one thing she was shown to have talent in was in fact revealed to be also fake.
When they started yelling at the man in the red and white checkered shirt... I had a flashback to the soup kitchen Nazi or whatever he was called. NO SOUP FOR YOU!
At least that guy makes the best soups you'll ever taste to make up for his attitude towards customers and authoritarian ordering policies.

There were so many suspicious things going on with this business. There were far too many fresh pastries being sold every day, and everything seemed to be a front for something else. I don’t have any proof so I can’t accuse them, but they act like total gangsters. They wouldn’t let anyone else handle the cash register but themselves, and they had a very suspicious source of funding.

i saw a lot of that in this woman. its a really heavy burden on ones mental state to live with someone like that, i withdrew mostly out of any social interaction to avoid having too much of an emotional/mental toll on me, what in itself is really weird considering we live under one roof
For whatever reason there is some mentality that if you have suffered you can’t be the bad guy, frankly it is disgusting that because you suffered you can make others suffer to “balance it out”
What's even worse is when one takes group membership into one's justification for making others suffer, and we see this all the time. It doesn't even involve individual suffering or even current conditions at that point, but everyone's individuality is dissolved into the group sharing certain characteristics.
