I really wish Haruo could've slimmed down in the 2 years after the tournament and shown us what he can really do. Honestly, he'd probably be right up there with Kanoh and Kuroki.
I thought about it and I thought of a good reason why he didn’t slim down. Notice in how in his fight with Akoya he slims down while in that mode? Probably that’s his source of energy. He would stay fat on purpose so that in his fight he uses that fat energy to maintain such extreme movement ability. Most likely fighting in that state has a kind of timer, which is until all the fat storage is gone. Most likely there will be a fight where we actually see him fight up to that point where in the end he’s left in this ripped body.
I'm glad Baritsu got some love in this series, the idea of combining boxing techniques and Jiu Jitsu techniques is interesting and I'm still kinda sad there's barely any original material of it left
