I had a skilled assessment from VETASSES for which the one year experience I had from Aug 2021-2022 was absorbed and couldn't be counted. I was advised by the NSW government that I had to wait until Aug 2023 to be eligible to apply. I luckily got my 189 visa invitation in the mean time 😇

I have my certificate 3 in commercial cookery in January 2022. Am I still able to apply direct regional pathways? Am I meeting the last 1 year of work experience, or do I have to wait until January 2023? Please help me.

I found this text on NSW website, "'regional NSW' refers to all of the state except the metropolitan areas of Greater Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong". Does this mean i cannot stay and work in these areas ?

Is Sydney a regional area? I applied through the Sydney RDA. Does that mean I will be allowed to live and work in Sydney as a region?
