What an absolute hero and legend. He should be proud of everything he has achieved. Thank you to you, current & former armed forces both alive & deceased for your service. You all help to keep us safe & to maintain our freedom. I cannot thank you enough. Truly & deeply appreciated.

Dogs save your life. Jessie was a springer who did something similar for me. I carry a little fur with me everywhere I go ❤

Hi Neal, happy new year to you m8, it's tragic what Craig has been through serving our country. He's slipped down the rankings since this was filmed, there's 2 Canadians and an Australian in front of him now, but he's the only non-special forces, and not using a .50 cal Barrett in the top ten. His rank was "Corporal of Horse" in the Household Cavalry, as there's no sergeants in the cavalry, three stripes make you a Corporal of Horse, his regiment, "The Blues & Royals one of the two Household Cavalry regiments, when they're not on deployment you can see them trotting round London on horseback with brass helmets and breastplates, with drawn sabres.

The title is now held by Viacheslav Kovalskyi.
On November 18, 2023, he hit a soldier at 3,800 meters (2.36 miles)
The previous record was 3,540 meters.
The weapon was a "Horizon's Lord" chambered in 12.7x114HL
A specialist cartridge to give flatter trajectories by mating a .50 bullet to the massive 114mm case.
Using a .50 also allows specialist military bullets, like AP-HEI.

1:14 All bullets are "lobbed" from a rifle, as in the follow a ballistic arc

His video "best of life and death stories" is well worth watching two heroes talking about how War has changes over time

Theres a tv show called sas: who dares wins and its worth a watch, they do a celeb version, they push them to their limit and see who can make it to the end

You drop someone and you spend the next few weeks waiting on a call from someone in an office somewhere. No.2 is the most experienced shot. This guy had a struggle. As did we all. It's a rough job that we tried hard for. It is not a job I would recommend after testing.
