- FIRST LOOK: The current Durango is coming to an end and Dodge has some special Editions. On the outside of this Hellcat Brass Monkey Edition you will find brass colored wheels, badging, flat black hood and Hellraisin paint. On the inside there is a tan nappa leather interior. Under the hood is a 6.2L supercharged V8 pumping out 710HP. Is the 2025 Dodge Durango Brass Monkey Edition BETTER than a Cadillac Escalade-V?

Bought a new 2023 durango hellcat that had been sitting on the showroom floor for over a year.. They wanted 107K, I offered them 80K out the door, and they laughed. One week later they called me and said deal. Don't let these guys fool you, make a deal and walk, never go to the dealership with the expectations of buying a new car on the first day. I've done this 2 times now, and it works.

I agree with you 100% because they literally dumb down a Hellcat Durango in appearance and minus some items just to convince people to pay even more $$$ for it.
My daughter and son in law have a 2022 Durango with the regular hemi and it's this color.....BEST LOOKING VEHICLE I had seen in a long time when they bought it....big black wheels, the styling, the hood bulge and that color...WOW. Thanks Joe and Lori.

I drive the durango the most. It's amazing and very quick! Already ordered parts, 3500 bux and now I have a 950hp awd suv that's reliable. Can't beat it. I drove a new x5 bmw. BORING. Hellcat handles better and better brakes.

Agree, this with only two rows is a great option but the Escalade is a full size which I find more practical so I'd go for the Escalade.

I hid this video from my wife. She made me get a Charger GT first as a family car (her dream car), then she's claimed it of course, we almost went for a Durango, but common sense make us go for the carnival EX 25. I'm enjoying it very much.

That looks really nice but its not worth the (Cheddar) IMO. An Escalade V isn't worth its money either but its huge and can carry a family cross country in comfort compared to this Durango. Dodges often don't last as long as some other brands unless you really take care of them and they can nickle and dime you to death in parts over time and this Durango is a sports/street racing SUV and that 3rd row seating looked cheap (I agree I also would go 2 row). Dodge will no doubt sell a number of these to Dodge enthusiasts that want one before they are gone forever.

I love that dark cherry paint job (Hellraisin?) with the saddle interior, Joe. As big a fan as I am of the Escalade, I'd have to give this Durango a much closer look before I was to pull the trigger on such a purchase.

I paid 94k for a brand new 2023 Durango Hellcat Premium with only 27 miles, on 10/29/24 near Orl Fl. It was living on the showroom floor. Now it lives on my garage floor 😁 Still breaking it in but I still feel that insane power. I love it!!

Definitely Durango! I kick the crap out of those Vs. Ours is a Black and red stripe Durango Hellcat-if you’ve seen one on US 19 then that it is me or my wife-most likely my wife because i have a Black TRX and a B5 blue Daytona Hellcat. This Durango is exactly the same as ours-there’s nothing different other than stitching and color. I’ll trade up if they have Black-we were thinking about it. Know any place here that has a Black one now? If you see a Black TRX at Casino that’s me too-winning!

I got my 2025 Hellcat Durango Silver Bullet. Absolutely LOVE it. Plus, it came with $11,100 rebates; Power dollars $7,100 and National Engine $4,000. Plus additional incentives depending on your local dealerships.

There is no way that you had it that easy. There is no way that dodge made you money when you sell it. Definitely there is a way for any customer to get behind those curtains at those prices and i absolutely hate dealerships who treat people like you different. I got to sit in this exact Durango a couple of days ago, I think it worth the price tag. I might just be biased tho😂. Great spec!
My biggest gripe is the taillights. That LED bar goes out on almost every Durango I’ve ever seen on the road
The bronze wheels, silver hood, and gloss black mirrors just ruin that beautiful cherry paint. Makes it so ugly imo

Should of had the Brass Monkey Emblem on inside dash. The Durango has aged very well ,the added upgrades are very respectable. With the 18k rebates and the family/ friends discount very doable!! The handling and the sound of the Hemi SC in my opinion is 2nd to none for an Midsize SUV in its class. I love mine, definitely turns heads, especially the cold starts.
I strongly suggest having a garage as well as a gun as owning this vehicle comes with consequences without!! 🫡!

I think the Durango still looks good. Dodge needs to continue making muscle cars and no electric. Would be nice to see the Dodge nameplate back on the RAM too.

I love my Escalade (not the V) but decided it was too big for a performance SUV. So it’s a weekend family cruiser.
For daily driver performance SUV I went to the Audi SQ7. It’s fast and knows how to take a corner. Same price fully loaded as this Durango. But much better build quality.

I owned a last generation Infiniti QX80 sensory, as well as the Denali. The Denali had more front leg room compared to the Infiniti, the Denali was problematic, however, it was nice! Since the Escalade was mentioned, I’d take the Escalade all day long over this thing.

IMHO it still looks good, and I prefer buying a vehicle that’s been around a while to fix any gremlins that a newly designed model might have. (My 2019 Charger has had zero issues and is fun to drive.) In terms of the Durango, I’d opt for the R/T with tow-n-go to save coin. I’m not going to spend around $100k for any vehicle. Cheers-

A brass monkey is a big plate they stored cannon balls on. When it got cold the brass plate would shrink and the cannon balls would fall off. That’s where the saying “It’s cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey”. idk no 360 camera, no quad exhaust, Chrysler mini van parts, no adaptive suspension. only 1 color option for the inside, no dead pedal, no folding mirrors. I love this beast but if you're demanding over 100k for a car, you need to have 100k features that come with that price range.
