    Great review my friend. I liked the explanations and the demo.
    I have quite a few of them myself TC, and I love em. I like the fact that you can control them from my iPhone. ONe really cool feature I use every day, is the auto-on feature. For example;
    - I have them come on at dusk where I live, and I use the "Savannah Sunset" theme for my living room. That theme is ABSOLUTELY stunning! So whether it's raining, or snowing outside, at dusk I get to enjoy a beautiful sunset in my own home. But the COOLEST feature of these themes is you can set the time duration of how long it takes to "fade-in". . So JUST like a sunset takes its time to go down, your lights will fade in. 5 minutes, 10, up to 30 min I think.
    - Another favorite of mine is in the morning. I use the lights in addition to my alarm [a soft chime or music cascade]. The lights turn on at, sayyy, 0600hrs. But they don't just turn on bright, they start very dim. . . and gradually get brighter until they arrive at the intensity you set. Lemme tell you gang, it's a fantastic way to wake up in the morning. I wake up relaxed and invigorated. . . know what I mean? And lemme tell you it's better than being punched in the face with an Eddie Van Halen guitar solo eh ? [yes I said "eh?". I'm a Canadian so I get to use that anytime I want lol]
    ****IF YOU GET THE STARTER KIT, M A K E SURE YOU GET THE STARTER KIT THAT HAS A SMALL LOGO [picture of a hue bulb] ON THE UPPER RIGHT OF THE FRONT OF THE BOX THAT SAYS "RICHER COLORS". VERY IMPORTANT ! ! ! ;)
    This is seriously a fantastic piece of kit like you said. But the greatest thing about this kit, is;
    - IT'S SUUUPER EASY TO SET UP GUYS !!!!! IT'S ESSENTIALLY PLUG AND PLAY.
    - They are LED bulbs, so they are energy friendly, use little to no electricity, and will last a lifetime. super cheap on your electric bill guys n gals
    - Like TC said, ENDLESS customizable settings and profiles
    - They are a bit pricey. . . but SSSSOOOOOOO worth it :))
    *****LOVED THE MUSIC SCORE YOU USED***** Who is the artist, and the name of the track?
    AND HOLY HOLY CRAP I'M GETTING SOME LIGHT IDEA SCENARIOS FROM THIS REVIEW OF YOURS ! ! ! ! LOVE THE WARM HUE BEHIND THE SCREEN ! ! LOVE IT !!! sorry.....I'm a philips HUE "light whore" :))
    Oh, and one more thing TC. you NOW have another loyal "like", "subscriber", and "notifier" Cheers mate, have a great weekend from Mike on the "other side of the pond" in the Nations Capital of Canada.
    Sorry for the long post here TC, but I just wanted to help your promotion and get a bit of commission like you said right ?

    I've only heard good things about the Phillips Hue series. It seems like they had the foresight to put a well integrated and smoothly working infrastructure in place, differentiating it from other options, which is good considering the price! I'll pass for the time being, but at least you're paying for something.

      I think its like when a musician says " Heres my set up" and they are just showing you their Guitar, pedals and amp? Like rather than a set up tutorial just like "here's my light set up". Or its clickbait. I mean I haven't a notion to be honest.

    Philips used to have a thing called Ambilight in some TVs. And you could configure it either to a solid color or to change color depending on the content displayed. It really elevates the viewing experience during a movie for example. Any idea how one can do that using for example that LED light-strip?

Have a second area I wanted to get an Echo spot to control lights, but want to be able to change colors which Google seems to be able to do out of box and seems to need programming with IFTTT for Echo.

      The Hue Bridge *needs* to be plugged in to an Ethernet device, which I'm led to believe is a router. You might want to check if a Ethernet-to-Wifi dongle will work for your setup. Good luck!
