Thanks for the post, it's good to see how much brothers paying out there. Lets folks make decisions as to which city is best for them based on their budget, especially for young brothers who not coming with pensions
i lived in santo Domingo in the Alma Rosa zona i lived off a total of $875 a month, you would have to see for yourself the house i was in negotiations to purchase a two story house , i lived upstairs with 3 bedrooms huge outdoor porch , just an incredible place, very spacious and the neighborhood was very safe, I'm originally from chicago so most of the DR looks safe to me plus i speak the language. i can't explain the level of peace when you fly away from America and all its bullshit.
Great video it breaks it down really well you hold nothing back and you seem very sincere I love that ! By the way the camera loves you keep keeping it real you seem very natural!
Yes sir, excellent information for those who may consider relocating to the Sousa area. Although I’m not one who will be relocating, I still enjoy following some of the brothers who have made that leap, just to be informed and enlightened relative to the different lifestyles. I’ve vacationed in the RD for many years and have traveled to Sousa from Santo Domingo ( which is usually where I stay) when in country, just for a change of “scenery”. Thanks for the very relevant and informative information, I’ll be certain to stop in to Flip Flops for some good eats ( your chickens wings sound like the bomb) and also just to say hola next time I’m in the area. Keep up the good work, thanks!
Someone can live as well in the USA for as low as $ 1000 a month in you reduce your live style to a Caribbean lifestyle, No AC, NO car.If you stay at someone else room in the USA, you can pay $ 350 a month and that covers rent, Wifi, cable, water and sometimes food. You buy a month transportation for $ 60, cell phone plan $ 25, Food can be as $ 300 a month especially if you cook. For me, it is similar and vary on the lifestyle.
Didn't realize you were posting content on UA-cam. Good video. Real talk. Down here in Santiago I'm living very comfortable at $200 USD/ RD$ 10,000 a week. Sosua is slightly more expensive but definitely doable for under $1,000 USD a month..
I've always been interested in Santiago. Been to Santo Domingo and I can only stand that place for a short amount of time. Seems like people just glance over Santiago on here. Never see anything in depth. That may be a good thing. Lol.
That’s wassup you gave the fall pretty much detail lay out how it would be the honest truth which I believe you are correct and I appreciate everything you’re doing letting everyone know it’s a beautiful country to live or to visit and the culture wish you much success hopefully when I get to visit the island again I will visit flip-flop try her wings and stuff take care and God bless her

Just wanted to say I’ve been there three times within the past year. Love the city of Santo Domingo. I have a place in SD East in the Parque Italia area. No tourist there. Working class neighborhood. All these beaches that people mention are good places to go but one place I don’t here about is in Azúa. I’ve been to Boca Chica many times and Punta Cana once. Azúa beach is better than both in my opinion.

Hi Thanks for the very good info .Im planning making a move to the DR within the next year . Do you reccommend coming there to stay for a month or so before finally deciding or just making the move . Im wanting to buy a house , Preferably in the countryside but still have the ability to make a trip to the beach ever so often . Ive just started watching this type of video so you may have covered most of the questions I have . I ve read that Id have to come there on a tourist visa & its good for a month . Its ok at the first but if I do buy a home or even rent later is that still a requirement ? & How difficult is it to get dual citizenship for the US & DR so I can travel when I want to which I doubt would be very often but still ...
Hey, I am seriously considering retiring early in the DR in 3 years. I visited Punta Cana in May and while that is heavy tourist area, I have likely secured a 1 bedroom apartment from an AirBnb owner who would rather rent her condo full time on a long term lease. Lucky me. Plus, because of the location of the condo in the Bavaro, I won't need a car. I hear the DR is one of the most dangerous places to drive anyway, so I would not be interested in owning a vehicle there. Question: What does medical insurance payment cost as it was not a part of your budget? Thanks.
I appreciate your insight on sosua and the cost of living very informative, question can a person that moves out there can they survive off of minimum wage if they find a job in the Dominican Republic?
Do you know any realtors there or someone who can help find an affordable apartment? I’m looking to move there for about 6 months within the next 3 months

FlipFlop in another video can you give us some understanding about the banks in the DR. Can the banks, and people working in the banks, be trusted. If someone moves to the DR, should minimal amount be put in the DR banks, and the rest be kept in u.s.a. banks. Also, go live on a video and chop it up with your subscribers.
I have Citibank in the US, Banco Santa Cruz in DR. They are partner banks so it's easier & cheaper to transfer funds back & forth. There are a few requirements but it has been a breeze.
I am sick and tired of youtubers telling me the cost of living depends. Just tell me how much you spent last month and do not waste my time with DEPENDS. This guy was an improvement but he could use a little editing. Half of the video was bullshitting me with DEPENDS.
It does depend. We are not the same. We dont eat the same, party the same. I dont usa AC. I gave you MY monthly budget but someo else may say $5000 a month. Another may say $1000 a month. This is a guideline. Your budget may be more or less.
Hola bro flip flop, Iam coming out to Sosa in December for a week from Longbeach Cali, do you have a referral for someone that may be looking to rent an apartment long-term!
Sorry i need my a/c there lol it is way too hot and uncomfortable without a.c. anyways, i think would need $3500 per month to enjoy life and girls in sosua. Here is my budget: rent $500, utilities n cell bills $300, $200 for motorbike, food $1000 and $1500 for tricking, mics and entertainment . Otherwise i can't enjoy life there
LOL $1500 for tricking is way too much when you live in D.R. When you live in the country, you don't pay gringo prices to trick off. When the chicas you want to chill with know you live there you end up paying far less or paying by just taking her out for a 300 peso meal. Then you get it the same way Dominican dudes get it. For much of nothing.
